On-road Diagnostic of Vehicle Damper
Vaněk, Vojtěch ; Hejtmánek, Petr (referee) ; Blaťák, Ondřej (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the effects of shock absorber wear on the driving dynamics of the vehicle. Furthermore, a quarter model of the car was created in the Simulink software, where a procedure for evaluating the condition of the shock absorber while driving the vehicle was created. This procedure was subsequently validated on real measured data from the Hummer H3 car.
Superhard cutting materials and their effective use
Teplý, Radek ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Humár, Anton (advisor)
Diploma thesis is focused on the superhard cutting materials (polycrystalline diamond, polycrystalline boron nitride) and presents their physico-mechanical properties, production, efficient use, new trends. It assesses the range of cutting tool materials and individual front world producers in terms of optimum cutting conditions for turning operations and type of material to be machined. Further, these cutting materials are compared between different manufacturers to bring out thein differences in cutting conditions.
Methods for improving frictional features of rubbing surfaces
Fojtík, Jakub ; Černý, Michal (referee) ; Šamánek, Otakar (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes several methods of improving surface's tribological properties. There are many forms of tribological processes, depending on structure, geometry, material properties, relative motion and loading of system elements. The main aim is to minimize wear and friction. It can be controlled by improving surface structure, geometry and by increasing of surface roughness with coating deposition methods, chemical-heat treatment and surface texturing. These methods can be also used for reparation of degraded rubbing surfaces or for surface modification in order to establish suitable lubrication conditions. An introduction to micro/nanotribology and tribological processes in micro/nanoscale is also described in this study.
Economic characteristics of the life cycle of building
Aigel, Petr ; Tichá, Alena (advisor)
Economic characteristics of building in the life cycle of the building work is a very broad topic. Captures economic part and associated technical part idem. Also, the life cycle of building work is very broad, a great many aspects and bearings enters into and influences the work. Excepting costs and prices of acquisition and maintenance of the works is necessary to observe quality of work performing. Both the materials used part and in terms of quality of each facture. This affects the amount of costs that may arise on the part of such unnecessary and degrading work as an entirety. This work attempts to describe all these aspects and influences, classify and appropriately use to monitoring of the works. All findings are tested on the building work - family house. The cornerstone is to find a suitable way of sorting accompanying work throughout its life cycle, allowing us to track costs and prices incurred on it. The conclusion consists answering questions and hypothesis exposed in the work.
Friction of materials for optomechanical parts
Mořický, Ondřej ; Košťál, David (referee) ; Šperka, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with friction between materials used in the construction of optomechanical assemblies. The aim of the thesis is to compare coefficient of friction for different combinations of surfaces, different roughness, and different surface treatments. Experimental measurement was carried out on a tribometer using the pin-on-plate method under the dry friction conditions. Graphs of the development of coefficient of friction over time and a table to compare individual combinations were compiled from the results of the measurement. It includes an analysis of surfaces using optical profilometry before and after the tests.
On the analyses of cutiing tools coated with PVD coatings
Malý, Martin ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
In this diploma thesis, literary research about drilling and coating technology focused on PVD coatings was performed. Furthermore, there is an overview of cutting materials. In the experimental part of the work, the attention is dedicated to tests of twist drills from cemented carbide and high-speed steel materials. For these drills, the feed force Ff and the cutting moment Mc were measured when drilling into austenitic stainless steel. At the end of this work, the technical and economic evaluation of the practical part is presented.
The Delivery of the Mixture Containing Abrasive Particles.
Hrabina, Martin ; Sluše, Jan (referee) ; Štigler, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is focused on description of the transport equipment parts used in some industries for delivering of the mixture containing abrasive particles. The thesis is divided into some captures. Each of them deals with the transport issues. The first part of the thesis is focused on the flow of liquid in transport equipment. Second part describes particular parts of pumps and compares various kinds of them, highlighting their advantages. One of the significant topics of the thesis is the characterisation of pipeline using for the above mentioned transport.
Modification of SPS quasicrystalline compacts via electron beam treatment
Poczklán, Ladislav ; Lukáč,, František (referee) ; Čížek, Jan (advisor)
The quasicrystals are characterized by unusual rotational symmetries that are not observed in the crystalline materials, which is the cause of their interesting material properties. Because of that a particular attention was paid to quasicrystalline structures in the literature research. The research also contains a description of electron beam technology, spark plasma sintering method and introduction to the problematics of wear. As the default materials for the experimental part were selected Titanium Grade 2 powder and Cristome A5 powder which was partially composed of quasicrystalline phase. The first series of samples was sintered only from powder Cristome A5. The second series was sintered from the mixture of 80 % Titanium Grade 2 powder and 20 % Cristome A5 powder. For the compaction of samples spark plasma sintering technology was selected. Samples were then systematically modified by electron beam and subjected to pin on disc tests. Samples modified at 750 °C had the best wear resistance. Samples modified at 1150 °C contained increased amount of quasicrystalline phase.
Lifecycle of selected building
Smečková, Veronika ; Aubusová,, Alena (referee) ; Tichá, Alena (advisor)
In this thesis, the main objective is to determine the price of selected construction project during its life cycle and assess operational costs. As a selected object is a family town house built in 1982 as a building type okal. The theoretical part is devoted to professional concepts and detailed information regarding the lifecycle, durability, budget, and wear-related issues. The practical part includes an itemized budget and the actual award of a selected object by using the software on valuation. The resulting values of individual valuation methods are then compared and graphically displayed. Furthermore I judge the actual operating costs incurred during the period.
Stanovení opotřebení stavebních konstrukcí
Szturc, Jakub ; Aigel, Petr (referee) ; Výskala, Miloslav (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor thesis is to determine the wear of building structures divided into functional and building parts in terms of material intensity. The theoretical part deals with the calculation formula, cost structure, functional and construction parts in terms of valuation and wear. The practical part consists of valuation of constructions by using a valuation decree.
