This thesis deals with the financial evaluation of VODÁRENSKÁ AKCIOVÁ SPOLEČNOST, a.s. the period 2005 - 2009. The main sources of information, from which I build, the data from financial statements, namely a balance sheet, profit and loss statements. I divided the theoretical part, which I will describe the theoretical background that is needed to correctly assess their financial situation. In the practical part, the findings are to be used on data processing companies and financial analysis. The weaknesses of these proposals to improve the financial situation of the company.

The bachelor thesis is focused on performance evaluation of Kaufland Česká republika v.o.s. in 2011-2015. The work is divided into three parts. The first part contains a theoretical part, which contains a more detailed description of the financial analysis and methods that we will use here. The second part represents the direct application of the methods mentioned in the first part of the work on the given company. Finally, I will focus on suggestions and recommendations that will improve the financial situation of the company.

In the second, practical part, the financial analysis is performed on the basis of the assumptions and methods defined in the theoretical part. The third part offers suggestions for solving the identified problems that could improve the current financial situation.

The theoretical part is focused on explaining the basic concepts of financial analysis, the practical part contains calculations of individual financial indicators and the last part focuses on individual proposals leading to the improvement of the financial side of the company.

In conclusion, according the situation is in which the company located , are designed steps possible solutions, which should lead to an improvement of the situation.

The thesis is divided into three main parts. The theoretical part delimits the characteristics of financial analysis, individual indicators and their formulas for calculations. Second part is analytical, where the values of the individual indicators are calculated using the formulas given in the theoretical bases. In the final part, based on the results, there are proposals to improve financial status of the company.
