Welfare of families with children in the Czech Republic and selected European countries

The purpose of submitted thesis "Securing of families with children in Czech republic and selected European countries" is to analyze securing systems in Czech Republic, Slovak Republic and France, compare them, try to find some common points between them and discussed the possibility of using some interesting elements of French system in the Czech Republic. The thesis is composed of five chapters. Chapter one is subdivided into three parts. Part one defines family, family politics and models of family politics. Part two deals with European context of securing families with children and the third part focuses on the most important international organizations with the impact on families with children. Chapter Two describes securing of families with children in Czech Republic via three systems (insurance system, state social support and social assistance) for people in diverse circumstances of need (disease, old age, child birth, death,...). The emphasis lays on description of state social support based on solidarity principle (between high- income families and low income families and between families with children and childless families) and its family benefits. The system of the social support in the Czech Republic - purpose and development

This theses deals with the subject area of social support. In twelve chapters, seeks a comprehensive approach to the problems associated with the Act no. 117/1995 Coll., On state social support, as amended, together with other relevant legislation. Thirteenth chapter shows differences in selected models of social policy that creates the conditions for social trends and priorities of social assistance in the state. The aim of this study was to analyze the wide variety of subject state social support, while trying to find an appropriate way related sources which illustrate the deeper meaning of this institute. Through analysis of relevant documents has been the formation of a complex form of comments on the law on state social support in the form, which is still legal in the scientific community are missing. This bachelor is work focuses on the topic of family and social support. Some families would not currently stand a fulfillment of their functions without the state´s help. This work´s aim was to analyse and describe characteristic features of the families that are on the dole and to form a basic typology of these families, taking into account the factors that influence the claim for social security benefits. In the theoretic part basic terms are defined, the terms that are related to family, parental care and social support (types, functions, coverage). The practical part is devoted to the analysis of Třeboň´s claimants´official documents. The identified types of families are described further in a case study.

This bachelor thesis focuses on the Czech social security system, which is further compared with selected member state of the European Union, that is, Slovakia, Austria, and Germany. On the basis of survey and comparative research, suggestions and recommendations for changes within the contemporary social security system of the Czech Republic are devised.

The theme of the bachelor thesis is a social security in the Federal republic of German and the Czech republic. The thesis analyses social security in both states and then compares them. The comparison is based on obtained information. Part of this thesis is also a survey, which should find out, how well people are informed, and how they orient in these systems of security. Goal of this thesis is to valorize both systems of social security and to compile a proposal de lege ferenda.
Family policy and its impact on demographic development before 1989 and after

This essay is focused on the instruments of family policy and their impact on demographic development. I apply to twenty years before 1989 and twenty years after in the area of Czech republic. In the theoretical part, there is introduction to family, family policy and there is assembled source of knowledge. Practical part include the analysis of instrumenst of family policy in particular periods and their influence on development of population. In the study there are empirical researches which test the results of analysis in practice. The survey contains three categories of respondents: parents before year 1989, parents after this date and people without children in present, so future parents. On the base of results of this paper are suggested measures which can be transfer from the past to the present and this action would be reasonable.
Social welfare in Federal republic of Germany and Czech republic

The bachelor thesis deals with social security in the Federal Republic of Germany and the Czech Republic. The thesis is devided into several chapters. The introductory chapters focus on definition of key concepts and terms related. Next chapters describe in details insurance systems, such as sickness insurance, health insurance, pension insurance. Followig chapters concern non-insurence systems, which include social state support and social help. Last chapter is a comparison of the two systems, examining their similarities and their differencies.
Development of state social support benefits in the Czech Republic from 1995 to 2014 and their impact on low-income households economic status

This thesis examines the influence of state social benefits on income and natality of low-income families in Czech Republic. The years in which significant changes in government welfare benefits occured, based on the legislative changes, are examined in the paper. These years are, with use of model families, analyzed in terms of the ratio of potential income from state social security and subsistence minimum of families. The paper shows that this income can be the main income for the families. By comparing fertility, the number of low-income families and changes in the state social support was the hypothesis - about the child as the main source of income for the family - disproved.
The effect of changes in the character of social benefit childbirth on development of natality in 2007-2012

The subject of the thesis is "The effects of changes in the character of social benefit childbirth on development of natality in 2007-2012". Childbirth is state social support, which is provided to women who gave birth to a child or who have taken child into kustody replacing parent´s care. Natality is demographic indicator that indecates the numer of births in a given period in a population. The theoretical part drala with history and development of childbirth and natality. This section was prepared on the basis of legislation, scientific literature and internet resources. Is explained here position of childbirth within the social security system and within the state social support, described legislative changes in character of social benefit childbirth from its introduction to present, economic costs to the childbirth. There is also described definition of natality, population policy, development of natality in Czech republic and prognosis of development for the future. In the practical part of the study, quantitative research was conducted, the task of which was to confirm or refute the pre-defined hypothese. On the the selected techniques of the research was the analysis of documents, and in its context, a secondary data analysis. There were used legislation, the statistics of the Czech Statistical Office and Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs CR. The second technique was a questionnaire. There were 237 valid response. The results were analyse and processed using tables and graphs. Research has shown that natality in the Czech Republic in the years 2007-2012 responds to changes in the amount of the childbirth. A questionnaire survey did not meaning that the amount of the childbirth is higher with decreasing income families.
Socio-ethical aspects of providing assistance to lone parents

The work examines the contemporary trend of raising a child with one parent, usually the mother. It deals with the various reasons that lead to this family arrangement, and highlights the problems with which a lone parent is struggling. It focuses namely on difficulties in reconciling work with caring for a child and a household, and on the resulting financial distress. The target group is introduced to readers through case studies of women living in a shelter for mothers and children in distress; the case studies are further evaluated, particularly in terms of the benefits of social services. Various types of assistance from the state are discussed, which single-parent families can benefit from; these are mainly financial support and social services. The next chapter describes alternative kinds of state aid. Attention is drawn to the pitfalls associated with the use of aid, such as dependence on social services and lack of motivation to activate one's own capabilities and to utilize one's own social environment. Possible solutions of the issue are outlined in the conclusion.
