Manipulator for folding molds
Borýsek, Lukáš ; Tůma, Zdeněk (referee) ; Pavlík, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of manipulator construction for folding two-part molds. In the thesis, an analysis of the current state of knowledge in the field of handling equipment and industrial robots is generally performed. Subsequently, the work introduces the current issue of handling equipment that is used in foundry. Furthermore, the work deals with the analysis of the manipulator construction, choosing the appropriate solution for the construction of its own handling equipment. Design solution is supported by computational message, 3D model and drawing documentation of selected nodes. The conclusion is devoted to the evaluation of work and practical recommendations.

Historical development of steel manufacturing processes from the Middle Ages
Závodná, Marie ; Pešek, Jakub (referee) ; Šenberger, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis was written during my bachelor studies of mechanical technology at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Brno. The topic was processed on the basis of professional literature and accessible web servers, which deal with the linear analysis of steel production principles since the Middle Ages and with theis sues of steel reduction and oxidation processes. Contemporary modern steel fabrication procedures are based on simile principles to those which have been used fort hefabrication of steel since thediscovery of iron.

Use of numerical simulation for reduction of scrap from Al alloys
Doležal, Petr ; Lána, Ivo (referee) ; Krutiš, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis deals with the possibilities of current simulation software and their use in technical practice. The aim of the thesis is to describe the process of the simulation; summarise the required initial parameters of the cast in order to achieve a credible simulation, and to describe the possibilities of the use of simulation software in the area of casting defect prediction. This theoretical analysis is applied on a specific cast, which is subject to a simulation trying to find an ideal inflow system, as well as predicting the formation of possible defects. The accuracy of this simulation will be proved by analysing an actual cast product.

Rapid prototyping methods (RP) suitable for foundry technology
Slovák, Vojtěch ; Helán, Jiří (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to make an integrated view of the most considerable current Rapid prototyping methods and the most frequent applications in the foundry industry. The work does not propose to find all existing Rapid prototyping methods and their use in the foundry technology either. But it wants to take down the most important aplications of Rapid prototyping methods especially direct casting methods.

Actual trends in manufacture of permanent patterns
Benda, Tomáš ; Mikulka, Vít (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create an overview of different methods for making permanent models. According to the type of materials the models are divided into the wooden, the metallic, the plastic and the models made from the resin. Further, certain methods Rapid prototyping are described here. The thesis is completed with visual documentation.
