Wind power generation and energy accumulation possibilities
Krbal, Michal ; Mastný, Petr (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor’s thesis is to inform about conditions of running and the character of running of the wind power plants and about the suitable storage systems for the possibilities of time invariableness of power supply. For these reasons is immediately in the first chapter of the thesis described state of using wind power plants in The Czech republic and other countries in Europe which produce electric power. Description of individual functional parts is important mainly from the point of electrician conversion of kinetic energy of wind to electric energy with help of the electric power generator with the highest efficiency and without need for maintenance. It is necessary to know those functional parts of the power wind to be able to design appropriate storage system. The output electric power is very variable at time, mainly output voltage, because wind energy is variable too. The characteristics of the wind power plants as output voltage, frequency and their switching graded at time have to in accordance with requirements of the electricity supply systems not to disturb the stability or even collapse of the electricity supply system which would lead to serious economic consequences. These predicaments can be prevented with precise meteorological forecast or by using the acceptable storage system with small acquisition and operating costs, requirements to safeness and long service life, low weight and high efficiency of conversion of energy. The storage systems are classified into centralized and decentralizing systems with requirements to dynamic running and running time. To fulfil these conditions it is essential to choose acceptable and accessible locations with year lasting qualities of wind, which are being checked in advance using measurement and mathematical calculations.
Protection of Foreign Direct Investments
Savara, Zbyněk ; Růžička, Květoslav (advisor) ; Brodec, Jan (referee)
Key words: Foreign direct investment protection, the most favourite nation clause, international minimum standard, national treatment, renewable resource, solar plant, Energy Charter Treaty Protection of foreign investments The diploma thesis deals with the importance of foreign direct investments ("FDI") protection. In the first section of the thesis a brief description of FDI protection history is presented. This description is focused on the development of the law of FDI protection and the means of protection execution (diplomatic protection, arbitration, use of power) are described. The changes incurred in the 20th century in international relations are analysed as well. Further the thesis provides a description of different regimes applicable in the field of FDI protection. Regimes like international minimum standard, standard of national treatment and the most favoured nation clause are comprised. The third section is focused on the Czech Republic and FDI support and protection in here. This part deals with the historical development especially in last 20 years. The system of support and protection of FDI is described and the most important disputes in this field are analysed. Finally the last section of thesis is focused on a very actual topic i.e. solar energy and legislature changes in...

Domestic heat pumps
Housírek, Jiří ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The Bachelor´s thesis “Pump Heats for Heating Residential Buidings“ is divided into three parts. The first part explains the principle of pump heads, characterizes individual parts, describes interconnected relations, analyses theoretical diagram of the Carnot Cycle and division of pump heads according to sources of getting heat. The second part deals with particular type of heat consumption – water – which should be suggested for chosen residential building. Then follows a brief description of a chosen object, principal parameters of the object and interconnected summary of calculating figures and particular calculation of energetic demand of the building. The third part deals with economic analysis of a chosen system of heating and its financial return (return on investment) when two systems of heating are compared. The first one uses only gas boiler and the second one heat pump. The conclusion gives a particular evaluation of advantage of a suggested solution.
The Specifics of the Construction and Operation of Agricultural Biogas Stations
Chládek, Ivo ; Kolář, Pavel (advisor) ; Hašková, Simona (referee)
The subject of this thesis is precisely what one sentence he says her name - the specifics of the construction and operation of agricultural biogas plants ( BPZS ) including assessment of their economic efficiency in terms of the existing subsidy , subsidy and incentive policies for renewable energy sources ( RES) . The site -specific construction and operation in the detail reports for this purpose specially modified documents business plan - feasibility and economic audit. Economic efficiency of the existing subsidy , subsidy and incentive policy examines modern fundamental financial analysis projects based APV ( taking into account the effects of special financing details of the NPV) . Based on its findings the conclusion of the practical part of the thesis formulated specific recommendations that can effectively contribute to the suppression of the feared consequences of the expected boom BPZS development in the country.
Comprehensive Assessment of Energy Demand in Production of Granules for Renewable Resources Heating
STERNBERG, Jiří
The first part of the graduation thesis deals with renewable resources, utilization possibilities of biomass and plant phytomass. The most common sources from which phytomass is obtained, are also mentioned here. A great deal of attention is paid to selected energetic plants included into the experiment. It is Sorrel Rumex OK-2 (Rumex tianschanicus x Rumex patientia) and Poppy seed (Papaver Somniferum). Further there are summarized the processes necessary for separating and pressing of biomass into granules for direct combustion. Within the research, two-year experience of growing sorrel stand is described. On the basis of performed technological operations in the stand, energy demands of growing are calculated. The real usage of energy at the production of one tonne of granules is measured. When labour costs are taken into account I can say that the expenses for the production of one tonne of briquettes from biomass would be 4 592 CZK, which is a non-competitive sum.
Set of Problems connected with Reconstruction and Operation of Small Hydro Power - Economic and Environmental Aspects
Chládek, Ivo ; Kolář, Pavel (advisor) ; Hašková, Simona (referee)
Evaluates conditions for the production of electricity using the power of a small watercourse. The practical part describe three demonstration projects, modernization of small hydro power stations and one construction, where the emphasis is placed on economic and environmental aspects, including a description of investment resources, financial resources and demands for the operation and overall economic productivity and profitability of projects.
Possible utilization of grass material
KOBERNA, Daniel
The objective if this degree work is creating a survey of possible uses of surplus grass material which is caused by animal farming reduction and by bringing the ground in less fertile areas of our country to a standstill. In the work possible uses of the grass are described, especially its use in the energy industry as a fuel source for the production of heat and biogas. Classical usage of the grass material as a food source for livestock or for the production of compost is described here as well. Examples are shown there of energy kinds of grass, which seems to be a promising renewable resource of biomass for favourable economic results. The harvest of the grass material and its consequent prossesing is done by production lines, that is why a survey of such lines and their economic figures connected with the operation of these machines is also included in this work. The economic part of this work contains many formulae that can be used for counting out all the costs connected with the operation of the grass harvest machine and for evaluating the effectiveness of the return on investment into this machine
