Archaeology and the public - the relationship of the science and the general

This diploma thesis deals with the relationship of archaeology and the general public in Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is firstly the analysis and consequent evaluation of the current situation in presentation of Czech archaeology and secondly, the proposition of possible solutions of this situation. The thesis contains the theoretical parts besides the practical ones, which present the point of view of both general public and experts, on the ground of realized research of public opinion. Some of the chapters contain also foreign analogies, that have to serve as means to deeper understanding and demonstration of broader comunication possibilities between archaeologist and the public. Tabloidization in Czech Daily Press - Changes between 1995 - 2010

Diploma thesis "Tabloidization of the Czech Daily Press - Changes between 1995 - 2010" deals with continuous process of changes in Czech daily press. The study focuses on national Czech dailies both quality press and tabloid during the period of 1995 to 2010. It tries to explain different aspects that have brought the changes. The goal of this study is to show the tabloidization characteristics with the defined indicators in the quantitative analysis. Based on analysed data it can be concluded that not all dailies chosen show all features of tabloidization. The results of this investigation also indicated that the Czech dailies mostly tend to increase the number of local news and decrease the number of political news.

Methodology of organization of Open Gardens Weekend establishes the procedure for preparing and coordinating the nationwide event. The event makes available and popularizes open or normally closed gardens and parks. Main content is professional-popular, educational or cultural program with an education impact on the public. The event is designed for participation by candidates (applicants) without limiting of object size or form. The procedure includes its own organizational activities of the central team even the applicants and the same presentation of the event to the public.

Rules of the Game: Critical Games and Critical Theories of International Relations

The main goal od critical theories of international relations is to help to achieve more universal freedom and equality in the world. Critical theorists use different kinds of strategies to achieve this goal. Persuasive popularization by critical videogames is one those strategies. Author analyzes different strategies of such persuasion. He also designs own concept of critical game. The goal of this game is to present main ideas of critical theories to the general public in the most precise but still understandable way. Autor wants to show the potential of videogames for popularization of critical theories.
