Written communication and teaching of the czech language for foreigners

In her thesis the author looks at written communication in teaching Czech for foreigners. The theoretical part gives an account of theoretical foundations, such as synchronic and diachronic approaches to the language situation (worldwide, in Europe and especially in the Czech Republic) and language education, including introduction to communicative methods. Furthermore, the author describes individual component parts of the language education (means of expression and communication skills), with a focus on written communication. The analytical part analyses language-teaching methods of written communication in textbooks of Czech for foreigners. The last language-teaching methodological part is more practical, which the author offers specific recommendations for teaching written communication in Czech language for foreigners. Problematics of Text Writing in Foreign Languages at Czech Secondary Schools with Specialization in Russian

The dissertation analyses how to approach teaching of writing skills in Russian language at Czech secondary schools. In the theoretical part I define what a "writing skill" is. I focus on the linguistic, psycholinguistic and didactic aspects of the teaching of writing. I explain attitudes to writing skills in different teaching methods in history and nowadays. After that I set out the requirements for testing writing skills in some of the most common documents: Common European Framework for Languages, European Language Portfolio, international exams in Russian language ТРКИ (Тест русского языка как иностранного) or TORFL (Test of Russian as a Foreign Language) and the state final exam in Russian language at Czech secondary schools. In the practical part, I first analyse selected Czech and Russian textbooks for grammar schools to compare their approach towards teaching writing skills in native languages: Czech and Russian. Then I set out analysis of Czech textbooks used in the Czech Republic for teaching Russian, focusing in particular on the exercises used to teach writing. After that, I evaluate answers from two questionnaires that I gave to secondary school graduates and teachers of Russian. Analysis of written styles of students in primary school

The thesis deals with the analysis of written expression in the seventh year of primary school. It analyze pupil's essays that reflect the skills and knowledge but also focus on ignorance across all levels of the Czech language. The thesis serves as a valuable material to study skills in writing. The seventh year on grammar school is important for the pupils, because they can tranfer to high school. In the theoretical part we describe the methodology of analysis and we also mention other thesis dealing with this topic. We will deal with the concept of language and style in general, and consequently the relation of these two components. There are mentioned the features of the essays, the criteria for their evaluation and description of individual style units. It also includes requirements for students, which are written in education plan. On the concepts of education plan are based objectives in practical part of the thesis. The end of the theoretical part is focused on the psychological development of the pupils. Most of the theoretical knowledge is evidenced in the practical part. The practical part contains analysis of individual essays of the 7th grade students in terms of composition, spelling, stylization sentences, vocabulary and stylistic compliance department. The Development of Communication Skills in Education of a Foreign Language

The diploma thesis is focused on the topic of development of communication skills in education of foreign languages. The aim is to find out about ways how teachers develop communication skills and their feedback on pupils. The theoretical part concentrates on individual communicaton skills from the point of their content, process, development and assessment. It also deals with the language subskills which are inseparable from the language skills. The theoretical part further contains the question of categorization of a foreign language in the Framework Education Programme for Basic Education. In the practical part the author focuses on the results of the research which finds out the teachers´ and pupils´opinions of using communication skills in foreign languages. The research was accomplished by the method of a questionnaire and the results are in charts and graphs.
Error rate in writing at children with dysorthographia

The thesis is focused on studies of dysorthographia, one of the specific learning difficulties. The theoretical part deals with specific learning difficulties in general, characterizes the concrete term of dysorthographia in view of its types, causes and symptoms, mentions some diagnostic methods in use and some corrective techniques. This part also indicates the impact of the introduced difficulties on various schoolwork areas as well as on the everyday life. The research part follows some types of errors together with error rate in writing at children with dysorthographia and at children without this diagnosis.
