Problems of children speech pathology in primary school

The bachelor's thesis describes the problem of communication disorders that most often occur in children. It deals with speech development and speech disorders on a broader scale. The bachelor thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part draws from the literature on the subject. First, the thesis focuses on speech ontogeny and the stages of speech development. The second part focuses on the general issue of speech therapy. Finally, the different types of speech disorders are discussed. The practical part takes the form of a questionnaire survey in which experiences with speech therapy and speech disorders among primary school pupils in Pribram are examined.
Speech therapy prevention for the natural development of pre-school children

The bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of (not) using the offer of speech therapy prevention by parents of children with impaired communication skills. The theoretical part defines basic concepts such as speech therapy, speech therapy, impaired communication ability, speech development (risks that may manifest in speech development) and articulation. It relies on available professional sources in the field of speech therapy. The practical part is carried out using the method of qualitative research and contains semi-structured interviews with parents. The main goal is to find out the answer to the research question: "How active is the interest on the part of parents and what is the main reason for parents to seek professional help?" Specifically, it is a research in a kindergarten in South Bohemia.
Implementation of Information System ANDI in Speech Therapy Practice

This thesis focuses on development of the ANDI project, which aims to make it easier for speech therapists to manage information about their clients and therapies. The paper deals with the usability of the ANDI application software for wider groups of customers. This is followed by qualitative research, based on which subjects representing possible archetypes of potential future users are selected. Based on interviews with these specialists, a list of specific requirements is compiled, the implementation of those requirements then expands the functionality of the system and its practical usability. At the end of the paper, there is an evaluation from the author's point of view and an outline of the further possible development of the project, both in the implementation of the new version of ANDI 2.0 to several independent speech therapy practices, and also for the establishment of cooperation with the commercial project Logapka.
Communication disability of children living in a bilingual environment

in English This bachelor's thesis focuses on the issue of impaired communication skills in children living in a bilingual environment. The bachelor's thesis uses theoretical knowledge about bilingualism, impaired communication skills and proper development, and at the same time it is supplemented by a practical part, which is devoted to case studies of children with impaired communication skills coming from a bilingual environment at different ages. At the beginning, the main goal of the work was determined, from which the sub-goals of the work and research questions were derived. The research questions are answered at the end of the work. There are four case studies in the bachelor's thesis, which prove that the family setting and their motivation to improve the child's communication skills and at the same time their relationship to the Czech language have an effect on impaired communication skills. The bachelor's thesis shows the positive impact of daily and regular speech therapy intervention, as well as the negative impact of a lax approach. Analysis of the issue dyslalia of preschool children from the perspective of parents

The bachelor thesis deals with the current problem of dyslalia in preschool children. The theoretical part is divided into three chapters, which contain a theoretical basis for the issues addressed. The first chapter defines communication, impaired communication ability and presents the field of speech therapy and speech therapist, as a key person who corrects the impaired communication ability. The practical part deals with the attitude of parents to the issue of dyslalia in preschool children. A questionnaire survey and a semi-structured interview were used for data collection. The research survey contains a sample of 178 respondents - parents and a related interview with a teacher in a mainstream kindergarten with more than 30 years of experience. The research survey shows that there is no connection between the level of knowledge and information and the level of education of the addressed parent, and no further connection was found in the additional analyzes. According to the results of the survey, but also according to experts, it depends primarily on the parent, his conscientiousness and responsibility.
Speech therapy intervention from the perspective of parents

The aim of this Bachelor's thesis is the analysis of communication between kindergartens and parents in the matter of speech therapy intervention and satisfaction of this communication for parents. The thesis itself is divided into two parts, the theoretical part, and the empiric part. The theoretical part focuses on speech therapy, speech development, speech therapy intervention, speech impairment, the role of a kindergarten in speech therapy intervention. The theoretical part also focuses on the communication between kindergarten and families and on communication platforms. The empiric part contains results of mixed research. It consists of the quantitative part of the research, which is realized by questionnaires, and of qualitative part of research realized by an interview with a speech therapy assistant.
Development of an Application Suitable for Storing Results of Speech Therapy

Thesis is focused on software development. The developed application is for speech therapist practise and its main function is storing information about clients and their therapies. The first part of the paper is about systems development life cycle and theoretical step by step approach for software development. The second part of the thesis speaks about development of an application called ANDI, which serves to speech therapists. This software is able to store data about clients and their sessions. Program can also be used for long-term observation of client progress. Data are insert through electronic forms and outputs are presented in multiple charts.
School maturity and preparedness from the point of view of speech therapists

This diploma thesis focuses on school maturity and preparedness from the perspective of speech-language therapists. The theoretical part focuses on the preschool child, his characteristics, and growth in all areas, including speech. Furthermore, it introduces speech disorders in preschool children by describing what impaired communication skills are and also discusses the most common speech disorders among preschool children. The thesis also presents information about speech therapy prevention, stating what its principles are, and also introduces preschool education in the context of speech therapy prevention. The last chapter deals with the child's preparation for entering the first grade, explains the difference between school maturity and school preparedness and introduces school immaturity and school deferrals. The practical part is prepared with the help of a qualitative research investigation, where a structured interview with open questions was used. Speech therapy intervention in institutional education

The diploma thesis on the topic "Speech therapy intervention in institutional education" deals with the issue of implementation of speech therapy intervention for children growing up in institutional education and requiring speech therapy. The individual chapters of the theoretical part focus on speech and its functions; describe the ontogenetic development of speech, impaired communication ability, and briefly characterise different types of impairment. The theoretical part deals with the speech therapy intervention in its entirety, i.e. diagnostics, therapy, and prevention. It also includes a short insight into the speech therapy intervention system in other countries. Lastly, the theoretical part of the work focuses on the area of substitute educational care and describes its influence on the development of the child. The practical part aimed to find out information about the implementation of speech therapy in selected institutional education facilities in Prague and the Central Bohemian Region.
