Using Calculix computing environment to solve problems of solid mechanics
Lukáš, Jan ; Lošák, Petr (referee) ; Vosynek, Petr (advisor)
Submitted bachelor thesis is focused on a solution of solid mechanics problems in a computing environment of the Calculix program. In the opening of the thesis there are briefly described theoretical foundations of finite element method. Subsequently there are analyzed particular parts of the program environment of Calculix. The main part of the thesis deals with solutions of three selected problems of solid mechanics. There are three different types of analyzes: static structural, modal dynamic and explicit dynamic. In the first assignment there is discovered deformation and stress in a fixed compressed squared timber. The second assignment deals with modal properties of the fixed squared timber. The last assignment discovers effect of loading velocity on the deformation of fixed compressed squared timber. In the conclusion there are briefly evaluated advantages and disadvantages of the Calculix program and there are compared solutions of the Calculix program and commercial program.
Optimization of Forged High Pressure Elements of Fuel Accumulator of Common Rail System
Klepetko, David ; Svída, David (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is the optimization of forged high pressure elements of fuel accumu-lator of Common Rail System. The aim of this work is to assess the current state and design the individual high pressure elements in the CAD system. There is implemented strain and stress analysis in the FEM system Abaqus/CAE and in fatigue postprocessor FEMFAT for all designs. On the basis of this analysis are proposed optimized design solutions.
Multifunctional object - analysis of substructures of the structure
Pelouch, Adam ; Šulák, Pavel (referee) ; Švaříčková, Ivana (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis deals with design and evaluation local supported ceiling slab made from reinforcement concrete of polyfunctional building. The ceiling slab of the second floor was designing. Internal forces were analysed in RFEM software based on finite entity method with check of usability results by equivalent frame method. Structure was verified according to ultimate and serviceability limit states. Then the comparation of results of direct design method and finite entity method on simple slab 5X5 span.
Influence of the new foundation on the construction of the wine cellar
Dostál, Tomáš ; Závacký, Martin (referee) ; Horák, Vladislav (advisor)
In the traditional wine village Dolni Bojanovice was a two-party dispute. The dispute arose because of the fear of a negative impact on the existing structure of the wine cellar because of the load of a newly built hall. The bachelor thesis is focused on the evaluation of the likely influence of the base of the new structure on the historical wine cellar.
Analysis of three-dimensional objects by time-domain finite elements
Syrový, Jiří ; Hazdra, Pavel (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
This thesis is aimed on three-dimensional finite element time domain analysis. Vector finite elements are used for analysis of cavity resonator made from PEC and filled with vacuum. Results are compared with classical “nodal” finite elements and with published literature.
Flat Plates Noise
Zlámal, Josef ; Řehák, Kamil (referee) ; Prokop, Aleš (advisor)
The master thesis summaries the findings results of a study focused on the spread of noise vibrating flat plates. Part of this thesis is measurements of flat plate noise in the anechoic chamber and finally their processing and evaluation. The next part of the thesis is focused on FEM acoustic simulation and comparing results with measurements.
Reinforced concrete structure parking House
Mazura, Marek ; Kraut, Jan (referee) ; Šulák, Pavel (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with design of structural system of selected parts of load-bearing structure of car park – common floor slab, selected columns, staircase. The Finite Element Method software is used to analyse the load-bearing structure, the results are verified by simlyfied hand-done calculation. The design of structures is done according to valid standards.
Calculation of storage tank structure for sewage treatment plant
Pečenka, Lukáš ; Maňas, Pavel (referee) ; Prokeš, František (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on finite element analysis of storage tank. The designed computational model in this work is based on existing storage tank documentation. Diploma thesis is divided into parts. Introduction part consists of various storage tanks types description and basis of finite element method. Next part contains methodical process of computational model designs, its characteristics and purpose. Designed models are loaded with set of specific border conditions. These tests are evaluated and described more closely. After that, the table of results is created and von Misses stress of all models is compared. The best model matching real construction is selected after this compare. The final part of this work consists of suggested construction changes based on the analysis results.
Analysis of stress state and failure in test specimens used for determination of fracture-mechanical parameters of quasi-brittle materials
Holušová, Táňa ; Seitl,, Stanislav (referee) ; Veselý, Václav (advisor)
The thesis is focused on a test on determination of the fracture-mechanical parameters of quasi-brittle materials, especially concrete. What is referred to as the wedge-splitting test is considered, for which a variety of shapes of notched specimen can be used. This work is exclusively focused on the cylinder-shaped specimen of diameter 150 mm and breadth of 100 mm. The test is performed virtually using Atena 2D FEM software. Progress of failure is observed during loading of the specimen for various notch lengths. The amount of energy released for the development the failure outside of the tested cross-sectional area (weakened by the notch) is quantified and the size of the fracture process zone is investigated. The described analysis is performed for several material sets witch differ in cohesive properties of the quasi-brittle material expressed via the so-called characteristic length. Suitable proportions of the test specimen are sought, in order to avoid the failure and thus also the energy dissipation outside of the specimen ligament area during the experimental tests, which shall lead to more accurate estimates of fracture-mechanical parameters of the tested material.
Time domain edge finite elements
