Dvořáková, Pavlína ; Kunt, Miroslav (advisor) ; Broscheová, Lucie (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with an inventory and reinventory of woody plants in Libosad on Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague campus. One part of the inventory is entering woody plants inventoried in the digitized maps in AutoCad and create tables. Another part of my work is a photo documentation of the trees and also downloading the photos on mapserver.cz. The literature review discusses the green vegetation, its functions and importance, compares the differences between botanical gardens, arboretum and school gardens. In the part, dealing with materials and methods, is written about the Czech University of Life Sciences campus and Libosad, its history and natural conditions. There is also described the method of woody plants inventory according to Machovec (1982), which was selected in my own reinventory. Data for the updating inventory maps and tables were obtained by older students. Firstly, it was necessary to update plan of the areas in the places where changes were done. Secondly, were inventoryed newly planted trees and shrubs, that were included to map and tables. Finally, was done the control of the overall conditions of the area, compared with map's data, ie. removing the dead trees from the map, checking inventory data, especially about fast-growing trees, dominant trees, trees with considerably good or conversely poor health. The results show that currently in the arboretum Libosad located 1505 peaces of inventoried trees, shurbs and groups of woody plants and 349 groups of perennial vegetation. The number of taxa is about 1000 species of woody plants and their cultivars and 300 varieties and cultivars of perennials and grasses. In total, in the arboretum is 350 woody plants species represented in 105 genera. In landscape value of the trees and shurbs condition dominates the 3rd classification group, then 2, 4 and 1.

Černická, Blanka ; Vacek, Oldřich (advisor) ; Bohumil, Bohumil (referee)
This thesis represents the culmination of years of work, dealing with the description, locating, inventory, photographs and mapping of protected trees in the district of Kutna Hora. Altogether, hundred and five memorial trees has been mapped and the work is completed with a proposal of six new trees that complement and thereby close the entire set of work that addresses memorial trees in the district of Kutna Hora. These documents will be forwarded to the competent authorities to ensure subsequent legislative action. The proposed trees are four pieces and two avenues. A detailed documentation including geographic focus, according to inventory methodology Pejchal (2008), a detailed photographic documentation and localization of the proposed tree maps, has been created for each proposed memorial tree. The proposed solitary trees are 2 heart-shaped linden (Tilia cordata), oak (Quercus robur) and London Plane (Platanus x acerifolia). The first of the proposed alley consists of 39 heart-shaped linden (Tilia cordata) and the second proposed alley consists of about 390 deciduous larches (Larix decidua). A complete documentation for the initiation of administrative proceedings on their publication memorable trees has been established for all the proposed species. Proposed trees are supported by a memorable photographs and maps with precise location.

Geologická a dendrologická charakteristika širšího okolí lomů Hranice a Černotín
Volek, Adam
Adam Volek: Geological and dendrological characteristics of wider area of limestone quarries in Hranice and Černotín The main topic of this thesis is a geological and dendrological characteristics of wider area of limestone quarries in Hranice and Černotín. These quarries are located to the east of Hranice and they are surrounded by villages Černotín, Hluzov and Teplice nad Bečvou. In the theoretical part of this thesis is described the geological structure of the Hranice Paleozoic, especially with a detailed description of Hluzov hill, which is bearing limestone for Cement Factory Hranice. In nearby quarries is located Hranice karst, which is known for its karst hydrothermal activity that gave rise to a unique karst formations. There is also indicated the characteristic structure of the local forest, influenced by the limestone bedrock. In the author's own research, there is attention to the newly formed soils in areas affected by mining activities. It was done a chemical analysis of the soil, the monitoring of succession in both quarries in response to the ongoing reclamation. The population of juniper (\kur{Juniperus communis}) in the selected area of the Pilsen region
TURJANICOVÁ, Alena
The topic of this work is the condition of common juniper (\kur{Juniperus communis}) in Zdebořická draha area. The area is a former pasture with (\kur{Vaccinio-Juniperetum communis}) vegetation covering an area of 1,8 ha. The area is maintained by regular undercutting. A total of 292 subjects which accounts for about a half of the Juniperus communis population were dendrometrically measured and precise data were taken on location of individual specimens in the area. The data are presented in form of a map. Based on type and extent of damage it can be stated that health condition of the observed fraction of Juniperus communis population is mediocre. The most common damage detected was dryness, sparsity and mechanical damage of the specimen.
Occurrence of elm trees in Novohradske Mountains and in parts of the surrounding foothills (history and today)
SROGONČÍK, Jakub
The aim of this thesis was to find out and map the occurrence of elm trees in Novohradske Mountains and in parts of the surrounding foothills. There is a natural occurrence of Wych elm (Ulmus glabra) on the respective territory which was confirmed by my research. I also managed to find six Field elm trees (Ulmus minor) that are not to be found on this territory naturally. A natural occurrence and purposeful growing of Wych elm tree (Ulmus glabra) is also proved in historical records dating as far back as 17th century when the respective territory was part of the Buquoy manor. During my field research I was able to find 40 localities with altogether 783 registered elm trees with the height of over 3 m. Researching the records of Forests of the Czech Republic, State Enterprise I also managed to find 10 more locations where I could register only 12 grown elm trees, since the remaining approximately 580 elm trees up to 5 m of height have been planted in the last decade and their numbers will be changing in the following decades as a result of 4 silvicultural measures. It mostly concerns elm trees that can be found in plastic protection or surrounded by forest fences against animal gnawing. It is interesting that there are several over aged specimen mostly in old alleys on the respective territory and all other elm trees do not exceed the estimated age of 50 years.
