Norhtern mythology. Art Project for 2nd grade of Elementary School.\nl(practical-theoretical thesis)

This diploma thesis deals with possibilities of the use of the Nordic mythology in the lower-secondary schools through project teaching. The target of this diploma thesis is to introduce the legends, culture and history of Nordic nations to the 6th form pupils through project teaching. Furthemore, using the legends, the thesis aims at introducing the best known fantasy and science-fiction literature, which might encourage the pupils of this age category to show some interest for reading. The theoretical part of this thesis is divided into two basic sections. The first section introduces a concise history of project teaching, its principles, teacher´s role and pupil´s position in project teaching. The second section of the theoretical part outlines general problems of mythological stories with orientation at the Nordic mythology. Furthemore, the thesis contains an outline of culture and history of Germanic tribes, with which some of the important heroic Nordic sagas are firmly connected, and the following connection with modern literature. The empiric part of the thesis contains designed Art lessons for the project teaching, which also contain a reflection of implemented lessons.
Chair. Project for lessons of art on 2nd grade primary school.

The presented master thesis on the project theme called The Chair, for art lessons on higher primary school is composed of two interconnected parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part, intended as a source of inspiration for the application of the topic in the educational process at the primary school, focuses on the characteristics of the seating furniture in the context of historical development and the chair as a motif in art. The practical part contains brief schema of project teaching, captures the preparatory and implementation phase, documentation and reflection of particular art lessons associated with the thematic unit of study. The master thesis contains a representative photographic documentation in the annex.
Ceramics and educational benefits for preschool children.

The bachelor thesis is focused on monitoring the development of the creativity of pre-school age children. The thesis is conceived as theoretically - empirical. The aim of the thesis is to determine how the creativity and the fantasy of the pre-school children develops, depending on the systematic work with ceramic clay. It also aims to find out the possibilities of using the work with ceramic clay, verifies its educational gains and benefits from this art activity in pre-school children. The theoretical part deals with the contemporary view of creativity, the development of the child in relation to creativity, the use of the Framework Educational Program of pre-school education in visual arts activities and the familiarization with project teaching and project creation. The empirical part then aims at examining how creativity develops in pre-school children, depending on the systematic work with ceramic clay, and how this activity has further educational benefits. For this purpose, an art project for preschool children is developed and evaluated. In the research part, interviews with the respondents involved in the project, which map the possibilities of using the work with ceramic clay, are evaluated.
Collaborative print making

Art education for mentally disabled pupils - project "Myself"

The bachelor thesis researches the possibilities of the project method of teaching in art education for person with mental handicap. The theoretical part discusses the characteristic of mentally handicap person, their artistic expression, special art education and artefiletic. There is also mention problems of project teaching. The practical part deals with the project, which is partially realized. The project aims is development of creativity, self-expression and enjoyment from artistic activity. In the next part is the presentation of products with take reflection down. The purpose of the project wasn't only his own creative expression. The project is led to self expression, cooperation and joint communication. Through drawings to express their feelings and thoughts. I managed to express unconsciously their goals and value. Finally, I stated the project method can be successfully implemented with the mentally handicapped.
Contemporary printmaking and art education

Linda Arbanová, PhD. This is a theoretical study investigating the present-day free graphic arts (designs). It describes the main trends, materials and techniques used. The text contains an an- notated selection of several Czech and foreign authors, which illustrates the different mainstreams of contemporary graphic arts. The didactic part of this study contains a research on the topic entitled Relation of Ba- sic-School Students to the Graphic Arts and a suggestion of a didactic approach to Art teaching based on the results of the research. The creative part of the study shows my own works-based on the topic: Time of Natu- re-made with the combined technique of digital print and linocut.
Shadow and shadow play. Series of creative lessons for art education on the elemetary art school

The thesis is devoted to theoretical introduction of shade as a distinctive theme and an expressive element in the history of fine arts extending to the dramatic arts, film and photography, as well as specifications of shadow play as an expressive medium. The work also concentrates on the description of shade in terms of optics and visual perception, answers the question what a shadow is. In this thesis the analysis of both traditional and modern symbolism related to the phenomenon of shadow is not forgotten. A large part is dedicated to didactic analysis and brief characteristics of artproject methods and art series in art education, with regard to practical implications of work. The constituent part of the thesis was the preparation, realization and documentation of particular art series (set of art lessons) on topic "Shade and shadow play" in secondary schools.
