Thermoelectric cell (TC)
Přidal, Oldřich ; Beneš, Petr (referee) ; Bejček, Ludvík (advisor)
This thesis is parted to several sections. Firstly is dealt about problems of measuring temperature with thermocouple sensors. Secondly are described basic principles of thermoelectric modules and resistance temperature detectors. Thirdly is written about design and realization of workplace for BMFV, MSNV and MMNV classes. Finally is shown results of experimental measurement.
Very low temperature measurement
Mráz, Dominik ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on low temperature measurement, respectively on temperature sensors classsification, their accuracy, temperature range and linearity. It deals especially in use of these sensors in cryogenic applications. It contains temperature sensor block diagram, including the description of each block. It also contains schematic designs with description of each design’s function, components and the reason why it’s used. Additionally the realization of the temperature sensor is described and it’s testing.
Temperature measurement
Brzobohatý, Lukáš ; Kandus, Bohumil (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
ABSTRACT Brzobohatý Lukáš: Temperature measurement The work presents a comprehensive overview of measurements of one of the basic state function determining the state of matter - the temperature. It deals with development of temperature scales, units and measuring devices. Temperature measurement is divided into two basic ways - contact and non-contact method. Contact measuring devices emphasis on thermocouples because of their indispensability in all industries. Non-contact temperature measurement is most developing method. This corresponds to the devices development, which is determined by the rapid computer technology development.
Using the infrared camera in the measuring technique
Bayer, Robert ; Šedivá, Soňa (referee) ; Bejček, Ludvík (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to get acquainted with contactless methods of measuring a temperature and give the reader an idea of it. Next goal is to master the working with IR visual display terminal FLUKE Ti55FT (and program equipment SmartView) a describe it to the reader too. Last goal is to translate the booklet "Introdution to Thermography Principles", published by FLUKE company, which will be enclosed in electronic form to the thesis in the appendix.
Measurement of meteorological variables
Škorpík, Daniel ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis discusses about the basic meteorological variables, especially temperature and airflow. These magnitudes are measured using an anemometer which uses resistive sensors, namely, two thermistors of NTC type that described technology, operations, methods of scanning, sensor placement and implementation of such a device. After that was designed block diagram and circuit diagram. The meter is realized, than we describe the individual components and then is calibrated and tested. In conclusion, it is evaluated for use in medicine.
The equipment for control very low temperatures during the detection defects of solar cells
Stojan, Radek ; Bača, Petr (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
This work deals with measuring of very low temperatures during the detection defects of solar cells by photoluminescence method. Liquid nitrogen is used to cooling solar cells. Properties of liquid nitrogen and safety of handling are described in this work. Themperature in cryo area is measured by the thermocouple senzors. A main part of this work was to concept and creation of equipment for themperature controling in cryo technique. This equipment signalling danger scorch in low temperatures. The device was created to complement work place for the detection defects of solar cells by photoluminescence method.
Scanning electron microscopy on samples at elevated temperature
Flekna, Martin ; Rudolf, Miroslav (referee) ; Průša, Stanislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with scanning electron microscopy at samples which are heated (by electric current) up to 650 °C. The theoretical description of basic principles of electron microscopy is given. The effect of different factors that influence sample imagining and image quality is analyzed in experimental part.
Solar Radiation Measurements
Mazoch, Jan ; Málek, Petr (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This Bachelor's thesis discusses design and verification of an inexpensive method for indicative measurement of direct and diffused solar radiation, in order to estimate the heat gain of buildings. Theoretical part focuses on the analysis of solar energy and types of measuring devices. Practical part presents results of patent research and market research. The design of an ideal solution of a measurement circuit is also presented here. The last chapter concentrates on the practical verification of selected inexpensive sensors. It includes the design of a suitable datalogger and measurement circuit, plus the comparison of measured data with reference sensor. The conclusion is devoted to describing possible solution for the sensor which should be applicable in operating conditions.
Brake Disc Temperature Measurement on Moving Vehicle
Mužák, Jaroslav ; Rasch, František (referee) ; Blaťák, Ondřej (advisor)
Subject of this diploma work is to complete preliminary report of possibilities and problems with brake disks monitoring on moving vehicle. A vital condition is to choose appropriate temperature sensor as well as assembling complete measuring set and it’s fastening to the vehicle. Temperature readings from driving tests, after specific brake maneuvers, will be evaluate and according to them a sensor will be determined as appropriate or inappropriate for this kind of tests.
Response time of thermometers
Novák, David ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Foral, Štěpán (advisor)
The aim of the work is the analysis of the characteristics of resistive and termočlánkových sensors, the description of their principle, basic parameters, structural design and last but not least is probably the most important part of the work of the explanation, analysis and practical experiment to see the time constant of the sensor. In the first part of the thesis explains the basic concepts and principles of thermal quantities of phenomena. Then it is done the basic classification of methods of measuring temperature with the inclusion of the main points of the content of this work. The next section will deal with the main issues of the work. First comes an explanation of the nature of resistive sensors and is explained in the next chapter the principle of thermocouples. The following is the chapter on the construction of the sensors. Here is a design of the sensor for the dismantled the practical use in industry and in other applications.. In the next chapter is described in detail at the issue of the time constants of the sensor. This chapter contains not only an explanation of this concept, but also to derive equations for the description of sensor behavior important in changing the conditions of real traffic. The following is the part where they are dismembered influences affecting the time constant of the device. These effects can significantly affect the otherwise high accuracy thermometers mentioned above. The last chapter deals with practical measurement of time constants specified thermometers. The measurement was carried out in two different environments, in boiling water and warm air. The assessment of the results of the measurements showed that the time constant in an environment of boiling water is significantly smaller than in the case of hot air, and that for all of the measured objects.
