Present production of heat exchangers in the Czech Republic
Dvořák, Jakub ; Bělka, Miloslav (referee) ; Jaroš, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to compile summary of heat exchangers manufacturers, which occurs on Czech market. In the theoretical part of this thesis is stated distribution of heat exchangers according to some basic criterions (for example flow arrangement). This distribution is followed by short explanation of how heat transfer can be realized. In the end of the theoretical part of this thesis there are presented some physical relations and their description. More practical and main part of this bachelor’s thesis contains summary of heat exchangers manufacturers and examples of their products, which are divided to some categories, mainly according to construction. At the end, there is comparison of brazed plate heat exchangers from various companies in application for preparation of hot water.
Assessment of three types of heat exchangers
Hlavinková, Valérie ; Toman, Filip (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to assess selected three types of heat exchangers designed for emergency cooling. The theoretical part of this thesis consists of a research containing an overview of exchangers. It includes a description of the construction of exchangers, characte-ristics in terms of heat transfer and an indication of the areas of its use. The practical part deals with the thermal and hydraulic design of two tube heat exchangers and a plate heat exchanger. Finally, the evaluation of the designed exchangers is performed.
Heat exchanger for waste heat utilization
Švach, Šimon ; Brázdil, Marian (referee) ; Špiláček, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with waste heat recovery using a heat exchanger. The aim of the thesis was to design a heat exchanger for the recovery of hot water from the cooling of a concentrator photovoltaic panel. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part, a literature research on heat recovery and photovoltaics was carried out. In the practical part, a heat exchanger has been designed for a specific solution.
Calculation model of screw compressor cooler
Šebesta, Petr ; Hejčík, Jiří (referee) ; Jaroš, Michal (advisor)
This Bachelor’s thesis deals with compact heat exchanger design under specific conditions. Hence ways of finding out thermodynamic and material properties are discussed in the first part as well as heat exchanger design methods. In the second part, compact heat exchanger design process is described in detail. The Bachelor’s thesis includes a calculation model of specific compact heat exchanger created in Matlab-Simulink software.
Simplified modelling of tube bank heat exchanger in CFD
Cacková, Tereza ; Juřena, Tomáš (referee) ; Vondál, Jiří (advisor)
The master thesis deals with the replacement of heat exchanger surfaces during simulations in the ANSYS Fluent. The aim of this work is to find a simplified model of the heat exchanger usable for flow simulations in large process and energy units, where it is not possible to model the entire heat exchanger in detail. The calculation procedures are applied to „tube bank” heat exchanger. The master thesis is divided into three parts. First part deals with pressure losses. The "porous zone" approach is used as a replacement for the heat exchanger surface. In the second part, the heat transfer by convection and conduction through the heat exchanger is replaced by the "Heat Exchanger" module. The third part examines the influence of material properties, heat source and fixed temperatures on incident radiation. All calculations resulting from the methods are performed using a script that prepares the output data in format suitable for insertion into ANSYS Fluent. A simplification, which faithfully replaces a fully modeled heat exchanger, has been found in all three parts of the thesis.
Project and calculation of heat exchanger
Kóša, Štefan ; Lisý, Martin (referee) ; Skála, Zdeněk (advisor)
This master’s thesis is concerned with design of a heat exchanger for a unit with gas turbine. The pressurized air from the compressor is heated with flue gases from gasification and subsequent combustion of wooden biomass. Then it is led to the expansion turbine. For thermal and hydraulic calculations a program named HTRI Xchanger Suite® has been used. The thesis includes a brief description of heat exchangers, description of the used program, calculation and selection of input data, solving and conclusions. It contains also a layout of the exchanger.
Heat exchanger with a combined condensation
Janovský, Jakub ; Kořista, Milan (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The diploma thesis named Heat exchanger with a combined condensation deals with design of the heat exchanger with a combined condensation. The first part is a brief research about direct-contact heat exchangers. The next part describes physical principles of direct-contact heat transfer mechanisms and a method of calculation is proposed. After that the bundle with basic dimension of heat exchanger is designed. The mixing chamber is designed based on these dimension. Technical documentation of a heat exchanger with combined condensation is an integral part of the thesis.
Air to water heat pumps
Špatenka, Jindřich ; Weismanová, Júlia (referee) ; Hejčík, Jiří (advisor)
Topic of the bachelor thesis are heat pumps air - water. The first part deals with the principle of heat pump and development since the inception to the present day, as well as a brief indication of other types of heat pumps and their adventages and disadvantages. In the next part are selected heat pumps from different manufacturers achieved by heating factors, performance and other parameters. Followed by used circuits of heat pumps. In the third section are described the component parts of heat pumps and their distribution.
Heat exchanger design
Vašíček, Jan ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Špiláček, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a cooling water – water heat exchanger. The content of the work is the basic sorting and description of the heat exchanger. Next it includes calculation and design of geometric dimensions, calculation of pressure losses in the tubeside and shellside and calculation of the actual output of the heat exchanger. This work also contains the drawing documentation of the designed heat exchanger.
Tubular minichannel heat transfer coefficient measurement
Snášel, Jan ; Kamenský, Petr (referee) ; Hejčík, Jiří (advisor)
The master’s thesis is describing measurement of heat transfer coefficient for heat exchanger with tubular minichannels. For understanding of the process, basic theory of heat transfer has its part in this work. The advanteges of minichannels and their clasiffication are also stated here. Another part describes the calculation for determination of heat transfer coefficient using the Wilson plot method and the method of direct determination of heat transfer coefficient. Measurement data are evaluated and comparison is made for results of both methods. This results are used for formulation of correlation equation for given flow regime.
