Machining of aluminum alloy component
Lačňák, Martin ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the technology of production of the turbine-type component in Edwards company. It specifically focuses on the part of the turning production, in which in the first part an analysis of the component and the technologicity of its construction is created. Problematic aspects are analysed in terms of material structure and procedure technology. An evaluation of the former and the new supplier is made in terms of rationalization of material structure and their statistical evaluation of rationalization improvement towards keeping to geometrical tolerances. Grooving tools greatly influence the overall machining time during turning. An experiment is made to find out the measured values of the radial forces, the process of chip formation and surface roughness during grooving. The technology of procedure further deals with rationalization of the current machine OKUMA LU25-M and purchase of a new machine Mori Seiki NTX 2000, for which new tool equipment is made in cooperation with Walter company. The final technical-economical evaluation sums up all findings from the research of the given issue. In the discussion, further continuation is suggested for the research in the development and for the continuously controlled component productivity.

This thesis covers matters related to high-speed digital cameras and their usage in various spheres of human activities, mainly in research of chip forming. Thesis summarises important knowledge needed for creation of high-speed recordings and choice of suitable lenses. Focus is taken on creation of high-speed recordings of chip forming process in turning operation outside grooving by using of different types of chipformers. Main goal is to verify its functionality in specific value range of feed per revolution.
Analysis of material to be machined influence on the wear and tool durability
Tolkner, Josef ; Novák, Zdeněk (referee) ; Bumbálek, Bohumil (advisor)
Machining technology is a multi disciplinary field, and together with the economy are playing always more important role in the success of the enterprise market products and services. Recent studies show that it requires very close link between technology, management and information technology such as the integration process and production planning, simulation of manufacturing systems, production flexibility, virtual machines, control algorithms, etc. The key changes are based on the requirements for miniaturization of products, higher production accuracy, closer tolerances, better surface quality, part of weight reduction, reduction of lot size and reducing production costs. The report is focused on machining titanium alloys. In the theoretical part are presented the properties and the distribution of titanium alloys. In the practical part is then carried out an experiment aimed to influence the composition of workpiece material on tool wear. Experiment results and recommendations are listed at the end of this report.
Design of multi-functional machining centre
Cvejn, Jiří ; Holub, Michal (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)
The purpose of this diploma thesis is a design of frame, crossbar, transverse feed, sliding feed of multifunctional machining center. In the first part, there is a brief research of history of machine tool conducted, division of machining centers, materials for frame construction, alternatives of drives of sliding axis. Further, I carry out an analysis of parameters of compeeting machine tools, from which I selected the parameters of our machine. Frame project of the machine, propulsion of axis X and Y, kinematic connection of axis X,Y,Z. Frame of machine is analysed by Finite Element Method. Over the scope of this work I suggest a solution for covering of linear axis as well as their measuring of actual position. 3D model of frame and drives of machine are included in this work. A complete formation has been introduced into the immersive virtual reality environment.
Optimisation of machining process for an industrial application and a CNC machining centre
On the evaluation of cutting performance when machining
Kolomý, Štěpán ; Fiala, Zdeněk (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on cutting performace during intterupted cutting conditions and on the problems of intermittent turning. There is tested cutting performace of indexable inserts from cubic boron nitride and ceramic during interrupted face turning in experimental part. Tools wear and shape of chips are analyzed. The output of this work is data processing and their comparison.
Streamlining production technology for specified pinion housing
Sádlo, Dominik ; Ohnišťová, Petra (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to propose a new technology for the production of the specified pinion case and to compare it with the existing technology. At the beginning of the thesis are described the basic characteristics of the bushings and the use of the worm housing part produced by Wikov MGI. In the next part, attention is paid to the current technology of production and its evaluation. The practical part includes the choice of the machine, the clamping mechanism and the tools necessary for making the part. The last chapter of the thesis compares three variants of the technological process, in terms of time-consuming operations and economical advantage for Wikov MGI.
Efficiency Improvement Concept of Production of Rotary Component
Trčka, Radim ; Slaný, Martin (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with machining of rotating components made of composite material. Components of the two manufacturing technologies are compared. The aim of the thesis was to analyze and calculate the costs of the given technologies for different production batches. At the end of the diploma thesis there is a technological-economic evaluation and decision on which production technology will be used.
A proposal of production technology of a specified component

This bachelor thesis fosus on machining the parts from worse workable material, exactly stainless steel 1.4404, when the machined component will be the axis of the three-way valve used in food industry. The introduction of my thesis contains of theoretical information about technologies used in components production, continues with an option of machines and tools suitable for fabrication of this component, following with practical part containing the production of manufacturing process, manual, calculation of cutting conditions, production of the component on CNC machines itself, and the last part is complex control of the fabricated component.
Efficiency Improvement Proposal of Machining Process of Cylinder Component for Oil Wells
Koudela, Michal ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
This diploma thesis is concerned with a proposal for increasing the efficiency of machining when manufacturing an inner sleeve at the company Sanborn a.s. In the diploma thesis, the technology used for machining itself is first briefly described, followed by a description of the original production technology including a description of machine and hand tools used and cutting conditions. The next part of the paper describes the proposal for increasing the efficiency of machining operations. The proposal includes a description of the suggested solution that will lead to increased efficiency, a machine proposed for the specific operation, appropriate tools and proposed cutting conditions. The benefits of implementing the proposal are also described here, both in terms of saving unit time, and in terms of the machining technology itself, where, for example, the formation of chips is improved, the inner tension of machined components reduced, etc. The diploma thesis further includes a technical-economic evaluation assessing the economic benefits of the changes introduced.
