Efficient Transport of Electronic Mail with Microsoft Exchange Plugin
Jakubis, Tomáš ; Homoliak, Ivan (referee) ; Kováčik, Michal (advisor)
This project discusses optimization of e-mail and SMTP traffic in proprietary product of Microsoft Exchange 2013 in regard of marine industry. The goal is at first to analyze the requirements of this service on slow and unreliable network connections, SMTP traffic and then the product itself. Afterwards it defines specification  for the final product and prepares the test environment. Design and implementation of transport agent using Exchange Management Shell is described for synchronization of two installations of Microsoft Exchange 2013; and focuses on emerged problems during the development, discusses different approaches and possible solutions. Testing shows various shortcomings of found solution. Finally, analysis of final solution shows possible future improvements and a need of security upgrade before applying to production environment.
Analysis and Visualization of e-Mail Marketing Campaigns
Urbanczyk, Martin ; Holkovič, Martin (referee) ; Hynek, Jiří (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is evaluating Posílátko.cz application and making extensions on the basis of thorough analysis and comparison of other similar products. This extensions are going to lead into increased user awareness of campagins state, so user can react accordingly. Extensions are going to be founded mostly on statistics data. Next I am going to implement campaign summary documents, where people can find all the data without logging into the application. So user can take this documents and present it easily on corporate consultations.
Transfer of Security Email Proxy into Embedded Device
Richter, Jan ; Pecho, Peter (referee) ; Schäfer, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with embedded devices and their operating systems analysis for transfer of security email proxy into one of these devices. It also describes already existing project Mailproxy and techniques of email securing.
Web applications and Web services in C#
Vybíral, Petr ; Morský, Ondřej (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
This thesis is focused on creating Web applications and services using the programming language C# and the Microsoft development environment Visual Studio 2010. This paper is divided into three chapters. The first one examines the ASP.NET technologies for the development of Web applications and services. It provides insight into the areas currently used in ASP.NET. In addition to this, it presents the development of versions, functions and components of this technology. The second chapter deals with the properties and use of Web services. The instructions for creating simple Web services and services for complex mathematical operations follow. Its functions are used by the console clients and the clients with user interface. The third chapter focuses on the development of a fullWeb application for booking classrooms and laboratories. There is a procedure for creating a database, setting up the project and the use of technology for proper functioning of the applications. At the end of the chapter, using the application supplemented with the screenshots is presented to the user.
Preserving Validity of MS Exchange Headers on Filtering SMTP Proxy-Server
Szabó, Peter ; Židek, Stanislav (referee) ; Richter, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is the localization and finding an optimal solution for a compatibility issue between two products, the AVG Linux Server Edition SMTP proxy-server and the Microsoft Exchange e-mail server. There are several possible solutions of this issue described and the most effective one is suggested as the final solution. In the first part, this thesis is providing a basic overview of the SMTP protocol and the protocols used in the Microsoft Exchanage server. The most common threats in the e-mail communication are also discussed here and several available solutions of protection against them are presented.
Special security system
Náhlík, Ondřej ; Masopust, Jiří (referee) ; Hanus, Stanislav (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on design and realisation of special security system for space and property protection. System is devided into two parts, transmitting and receiving. Transmitting part is formed by Raspberry Pi Model B+, motion sensor, webcam and USB LTE modem Huawei E398. Receiving part consists of computer with suitable application for communication with FTP server. Data transfer in mobile systems is described in the first part of this thesis, transmitting part is designed in the second part. There is one transmitting option chosen in the third part and there are also described applications of the transmitting part. The last part of this thesis is focused on the receiving part and its application.
Verification of PGP digital signatures
Horký, Matyáš ; Burda, Karel (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the interaction of OpenPGP content inside of e-mail files. It describes the history, changes and properties of PGP and e-mail and connects them into a common context. The goal is to design and implement a program for reading and verifying OpenPGP data in electronic mail, which is available as an open-source tool available as both a the command line and as a library.
Probe for the Application Protocols Monitoring
Fukač, Tomáš ; Košař, Vlastimil (referee) ; Viktorin, Jan (advisor)
This work describes an extension of the Microprobe functionality for detection and filtering of application protocols. The Microprobe is an embedded system designed for monitoring network links at speed 1 Gb/s without loosing any packets. The detection of application protocols requires using of computationally expensive operations, especially string lookup (usually based on regular expressions). Based on the study of several protocols (SMTP, POP3, FTP, SIP) a draft of a new architecture has been created. The new architecture splits this functionality between programmable logic FPGA and processor. The FPGA performs preprocessing of network traffic consisting of a lookup for user identifiers and protocol-specific patterns. The processor verifies that it is the requested communication. The processor does not need to process the entire network traffic but only the part pre-filtered in the FPGA. The software part is extended by a module for the analysis of SMTP which allows processing of more than 5,000 network flows per second. Support for other protocols can be added by an extension of the software part.
Implementation of multi-purpose server based on WINDOWS
Depiak, Petr ; Kouřil, Jiří (referee) ; Pfeifer, Václav (advisor)
This thesis puts brain to the pieces of knowledge of the network services which are occurred in the server systems. These services are related to data storing, transport and data interpretation. Basically there are transport services which are used by FTP and SMB protocols. These protocols define them generally and their security too. Next section describes principles and application possibilities of electronic mail. It is based on SMTP, POP3 and IMAP protocols. The important part of this thesis is the World Wide Web service exploiting the HTTP protocol. It also refers to creation of dynamic presentation of electronic document by using the MySQL relational database and PHP script language. Practical part goes out of the theoretical part discussed above and all services are implemented on the MS Windows 2003 Server EE R2 platform. The main scope is oriented to the highest usage of data security within the available software. Other part presents the introduction to hosting of the Novell eDirectory service. It is practically applied on the MS Windows platform. This application also includes the administration of eDirecroty service by using the standard tool. This tool allows the administration though the web interface.
Email Server as a Windows Network Service
Jalůvka, Petr ; Ráb, Jaroslav (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
Email is one of the most used services on the Internet. It's hard to find a user with less than one own mailbox. These mailboxes are usually located on servers controlled by someone else than mailbox owners. Users trying to create their own email serverhave to install unix system and go through hard configuration process of the email server. Purpose of this work is to familiriaze reader with email history and protocols and then introduce design and implementation of an email server with easy configuration for Windows NT platform.
