Title: Sexuality of people with mental disability and autism spectrum disorders in residential facilities in South Bohemia Author: Bc. Veronika Beránková Supervisor: Doc. PhDr. Jan Šiška, Ph.D. ABSTRACT This thesis solves the attitude of the sexuality of people with mental disability and autism spectrum disorders in residential facilities in South Bohemia. We specifically wonder, if there is any work with sexuality and in which way. Chosen research problems were solved during an interview with the employees of the facility whoch provides residential services. Then we did an analysis of the interview by coding and categorization of answers. In the final stage, emerged from the analysis of the interviews main interests of respondents and their attitudes to the sexuality topic. We created a summary which shows how staff work with sexuality of clients with mental disability and autism spectrum disorders and which are their individual attitudes. The benefit of this thesis is effort of explanation our topic to the general public and to the facilities providing residential social services itself. 1 Name of paper / Name of work The implementation of social services quality standards in residential facilities for elderly people - Ethical aspects Abstract The changes in the approach to the clients and adjustments of the run of the facility to their needs are one of the biggest long-term challenges for the service providers. The basis for the correct setting of all the parameters of service (process, personnel and operating) are standards in the quality of social services which involve certain principles and ethical values altogether. One of the essential tools in the changes in approach to clients is the principle of individualization of care, which can be achieved by setting the services to each client individually so that the service provided reflects their real need as much as possible. This dissertation focuses on the individualization of care as a significant indicator in the changes of approach to clients. We tried to figure how the individualization of care reflects in the attitudes of organizations to implement quality standards and how it affects the worker's personality and chosen organizational aspects. Urban design of waterfront in Třebíč

The thesis of my dissertation is an urban design of waterfront of Jihlava river in Třebíč, which runs through the center of the city and becomes its part. The inner city and the river basin are wedged into the valley, which is formed by a rocky terrain. The territory I am dealing with concerns several parts of Třebíč – Stařečka, the Inner Town, Zámostí and Podklášteří. This area is defined from the south by an arterial road and the bus station across the Suchniova street, and the main road on the Smila Osovského street. From the north, this area is lined by a rocky terrain, conservation area – the Jewish town which is registered on a UNESCO World Heritage List, under chateau meadow, continuing up to the summer swimming area Polanka. The outcome of this thesis is a total revitalization of described area and transformation of this town into an attractive Down structure that would offer a wide range of leisure activities, not only for people living in this territory but for tourists as well. The described territory is divided into several parts – the part in proximity to the outdoor swimming pool Polanka, then the part concerning the bus station and the right riverside. The main idea is to interconnect these parts and to komplete the urban structure following the original structure of the buildings. The new buildings would be mostly residential, with commercial and administrative areas on the first three floors. This administrative part also creates some sort of noise barrier from the arterial road. Clean areas intended for living are localized along the riverside in the western part of Stařečka. The flat orientation responds to the calm potential of Jihlava river, which creates a pleasant visual perception. Therefore, the quiet rooms are orientated to the north. Along the banks of the Jihlava river is proposed a quiet zone with both sport and recreational character, which helps changes of passive and active zones. In a close proximity of these

The residential area in Brno - Červený kopec

The subject of this master's thesis is to design a residential complex in Brno in a part Červený kopec. My design is placed on the platform, where once stood a Kohn's brickyard, one of the largest brickworks in Brno. The design tries to follow up not only the existing buildings, but the buildings that stood here during the period of greatest prosperity of the company. The right side of the houses follows the side panel installations and left sides of the border again the original brick. Houses are designed as simple blocks which are used in most of the different variants. Color solution is again inspired by the bricks. Part of houses and pavements is therefore in red.

Residential complex Brno - Reckovice

Residential Brno - Řečkovice A main task of this diploma thesis to propose the use of previosly undeveloped areas for the housing and also establish to the original structure of the village comunity by effective utilization of these areas. The ground is located in distrikt Řečkovice and Mokrá Hora in Brno. The Řečkovice cadastral is defined by Žilkova and Terezy Novákové street. North protperty line is determined by Ivanovice cadastral number 1035/26. The site is bounded by existing terraced and detached houses and apartment buildings on the northeast side. The south side is is formed by former barracks and northwest side provide open countryside towards Ivanovice. The development is designed to became a separate distrikt of Brno. The funcitonal areas are able to place residental house of different categories, also public facilities, recreation areas and public open space with all kinds of greenery. A main idea of the concept was to create residental comlex with a functional center that will not compete to existing center of Řečkovice. Densities are highest by the main road following the expected denser development of former barracks. They decreases ito the existing development along Žilkova street. The protective zone for pipeline is used as a city park. The proposed concept of functional areas clearly define continuity and transport infrastructure by design of buildings in different categories that meets all needs of future residents. Plenty of green space for recreation will also ensure functionality and efficient use of this unit.

Evacuation of Disabled Persons from Hight Buildings

In the introductory part the Bachelor´s thesis solves an evacuation of people complex, especially its inclusion in valid legislation of Czech Republic. Secondly, the categorization of incidents and means of separation of evacuation. Then, this work gradates to an evacuation of persons with reduced mobility, with a focus on social care sphere. The aim is to define an incident and all factors affecting the evacuation of persons and the identification of facilities of escape routes in buildings with residential care. In the last part of my work are described recent state solutions of people evacuation in social care institutions, based on monitoring made of selected residental care providers.

Theoretical Bases for Senior People Care in Residential Facilities in the State of Salzburg, Austria

This theoretical bachelor thesis aims to provide insight into the topic of taking care of aging people. These are clients in residential facilities in the State of Salzburg, Austria. The first chapter deals with the issue of old age and aging. The second chapter covers the topic of dementia and its treatment.This disease is very common with seniorpopulation. The third chapter explains the relevant legislation in the State of Salzburg and the theoretical bases for taking care of clients in residential facilities. We describe the most commonly useed models of care applied in practice. This includes particularly the Basal Stimulation Concept, Validation Concept, Sensory Activation Concept and E. Boehm´s Psychobiography Health Care Model. In the end, the author offers a personal reflection on the situation based on her own experience.
