Factors of cognitive superaging - a systematic review

Title: Lifestyle Factors and Successful Ageing: A Systematic Review on the SuperAger Phenomenon Background: As the world's population continues to age, the importance of studying the elders becomes more relevant. Age is one of the most prominent risk factors for diseases and understanding how to overcome or prevent the onset of any of them should be the goal for us as health promoting professionals. One of the straight-forward preventive measures is lifestyle. Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to assemble lifestyle factors that potentially contribute to the successful ageing of SuperAgers. Methods: A total of 6 databases were systematically reviewed using keywords established to help answer the review question. 654 studies were identified through the primary search and 10 studies were identified by hand search. After removing the duplicates, another 590 studies were excluded and 20 studies were selected for further eligibility. These studies were assessed using the Newcastle Ottawa Scale. Results: The number of studies finally retrieved from the systematic search was 20. Physical activity was identified as the most likely lifestyle factor to be positively associated with SuperAgeing. Public health in terms of eating habits of adolescents

5 Abstract Context: Healthy lifestyle promotion is an important long-time process for today's society. Nowadays, models and theories are developed to enhance public health. Objectives: Create a systematic review of theories and models based on healthy diet promotion. Methods: The Master Thesis consists of 5 independent systematic reviews. Particular studies were examined based on Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) recommendations. A search was carried out of 2 electronic databases (PubMed and Web of Science) using following keywords - adolescence, eating habits, diet, nutrition a names of particular models/ theories. Results: 6 studies based on Health Belief Model, 8 based on Transtheoretical Model, 7 based on Social Ecological model, 8 based on Social cognitive model and 8 studies based on Nudge theory were included into the systematic review. Conclusion: Models and Theories are considered as successful ways to modify people's eating habits. More research within this area is needed due to wide diversity of healthy diet determinants. These topics will be more detailed discussed in the theoretical part, due to their importance in the lives of each of us. Among main topics, the work includes topics related to sleep, rational nutrition, exercise and more within factors that play a significant role in influencing people's health and their lives. In the practical part, the work already deals with cases from practice - everyday life of people. In this section, reader will learn how young people perceive the view of health and its support, and whether they themselves follow the principles of a healthy lifestyle and rational, healthy eating. As a part of the research, respondent's food menus are specifically analyzed, as well as frequency questionnaires mapping the people's diet, the lifestyle and the occurrence of diseases of these people. This work shows and compares the differences in lifestyle within the two investigated groups - people who are hardening and those who are not hardening. The detected shortcomings are discussed in more detail and there are also possible individual recommendations for individuals or the whole group that can be transferred to the wider public. These recommendations are in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization, medicine, or other experts in the field.

Title: Comparison of a standard adult non-athlete diet with a diet of athlete in preparation for bikini fitness competitions Aim of the thesis: The primary goal of this bachelor's thesis was to compare the differences between the regular diet of adult non-athletes and the pre-competition diet of female athletes who are preparing for bikini fitness competitions. The aim of the work was to analyze the individual differences between the diets, with the help of calculations of the total daily energy intake of the respondents, the amount of macronutrients, simple sugars and fiber in their diet, a comparison of the daily drinking regime, subsequent entry into graphs and a visual comparison of the diets. The secondary goal of this work was to acquaint the reader with the nature of the pre-race diet, its principle and its effect on the change in the body composition of the female athlete during the pre-race preparation. This work also aimed to present the effect of a precisely set and strictly observed diet, thanks to which a significant change in body composition can be achieved. Nutrition after temporomandibular surgery

Nutrition after temporomandibular joint surgery is very specific but defined by clear rules. Patients in recovery receive a mixed diet for the first 3 days and then, if there are no complications, switch to a soft food diet. Many patients are concerned about postoperative pain, the overall course of hospitalization, and how the mixed food will not only taste but also look. Therefore, it is important to consider the patient's opinion regarding hospital food and how the intake of recommended food affects weight loss during recovery. The first goal was to compare weight changes in the observed hospitalized patients at the time of surgery and 5 days after surgery. The second goal was to evaluate the patient's diet after surgery and determine how satisfaction affected weight loss. The third goal was to evaluate patient use of nutritional supplements. The practical part was evaluated from the responses of a questionnaire survey, which involved 16 patients hospitalized in the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery at VFN from January 2023 to March 2023, who underwent temporomandibular joint reconstruction by total replacement. Introduction: This bachelor thesis focuses on the aging process, physiological changes in the digestive tract, and the potential severe problems associated with advanced age that may impact diet and fluid intake. In the theoretical part, it summarizes the most important factors discussing old age and its related aspects. The practical part compares the theoretical research with the collected results from a questionnaire survey and laboratory blood tests. Aims: The main general aim of this thesis was to conduct a search of literature and scientific studies, and then to compare these findings with the data collected in the practical part. It was necessary to obtain the specific changes in the given sections of the digestive tract from the literature and research. The practical part included a questionnaire survey and the results of laboratory blood tests of geriatric patients to compare the diet of current versus younger age and, if necessary, to find out the reasons for the change. Nutrition and Supplementation in Fitness and Bodybuilding Abstract The topic of this master's thesis is "Nutrition and Supplementation in Fitness and Bodybuilding". Physical fitness is getting more and more popular and becoming a global industry. Young people tend to prefer gyms to other types of physical activities. The advantage of fitness workouts is that there is no age limit, provided the person is healthy, as evidenced by exercising individuals who are 15 years old but also senior citizens over the age of 65. The empirical part of the paper was conducted using a qualitative method, gathering respondents through snowball sampling where participants identify others. As many as 28 respondents were divided into two groups: people doing conditioning and bodybuilding whose characteristics are explained in the Operationalisation chapter. All respondents did a semi-structured interview and provided a three-day diet plan. The goal was to map eating habits and the most common diet plans of people doing conditioning and bodybuilding, and to discover supplements they use the most frequently. The diet of type 1 diabetics treated with insuline pumps

The bachelor thesis on the topic "Diet of type 1 diabetics treated with insulin pumps" focuses on the differences between the lifestyle of type 1 diabetic treated with a hybrid closed-loop insulin pump and the lifestyle of given type 1 diabetic with a previous method of diabetes compensation. In addition, the thesis examines the differences between the current diet of a diabetic on hybrid closed-loop insulin pump treatment and the nutritional recommendations for a rational diet. For the present bachelor thesis, a qualitative research was chosen and it included 9 respondents with type 1 diabetes treated with a hybrid loop insulin pump. Data was obtained through a semi-structured interview followed by analysis of weekly dietary information provided by each respondent. In the practical part, background information about the respondents is presented. In order to achieve the objectives of the thesis, the differences between the lifestyle and diet of type 1 diabetic with a hybrid loop insulin pump and the lifestyle and diet of that diabetic with previous diabetes treatment are further compared. Subsequently, each respondent's current average daily energy intake was tabulated and their optimal daily energy intake was related to their rational diet. Below the table, the respondent's weekly diet was described and their current energy intake was verbally compared to their calculated optimal daily energy intake. Finally, in the summary of results, I compared some recommendations for rational eating with the respondents' diets. As a result of the bachelor thesis, type 1 diabetics achieve a better quality of life with hybrid loop insulin pump treatment compared to previous diabetes treatment. Regarding the affinity of the rational diet with the current diet of diabetics, the results are different. From the results of the study, we found out that at least one nutritional recommendation for a rational diet matched the current diet of a diabetic.
Diet of proffesional drivers from the perspective of nutrition therapist

The diet of professional drivers is very different from the general population. This difference is due to a number of factors. Extraordinary working hours, irregular sleep, physical inactivity and stress. Poor facilities for the actual preparation and storage of food and poorer availability of factory catering. Professional drivers therefore often suffer from a range of health complications including obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease, hypertension and metabolic syndrome. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to investigate the diet of professional drivers in the Czech Republic. To map their diet in terms of caloric intake, macronutrient intake and sugars. And secondly, to find out whether the offer in the catering facilities they use during working hours corresponds to their demand. Quantitative research was chosen to meet the objectives. Anthropometric data such as height, weight, BMI and waist circumference were collected and evaluated. A questionnaire focusing on lifestyle and eating habits and an evaluation of the last 24 hours' diet. Data collection was conducted at motorway rest areas in the Central Bohemia region. The research population consisted of 30 professional truck drivers in the age range of 29- 60 years. The bachelor thesis revealed significantly higher values of BMI and waist circumference compared to the average values of the population in the Czech Republic. The questionnaire survey revealed the diet and lifestyle of the professional drivers on the road. More than half of the respondents were smokers, two thirds drink alcohol and most of them do not engage in any physical activity. Analysis of the menus showed that their calorie intake was on average 14% higher than their daily energy needs and their consumption of sugars was noticeably higher than the recommendations. The bachelor thesis provides a comprehensive view of the diet and lifestyle of professional drivers. It highlights the impact of improper diet and the incidence of associated complications. The bachelor thesis is intended to raise awareness in society of this issue and may be useful to health care personnel who work with patients in the driving profession.
