Michaela Stupková Tittle: Case Study of Physiotherapeutic Treatment of a Patient after total knee replacement Objectives: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to summarize the theoretical knowledge of the issue of total knee replacement and to process the case report of a patient who underwent this surgery. Methods: The bachelor's thesis consists of two parts - general and special. The theoretical part summarizes the knowledge about kinesiology and biomechanics of the knee joint, gonarthrosis, knee replacements, physiotherapeutic care and physiotherapeutic methods. The special part includes a case report of a physiotherapeutic care of a patient after total knee replacement. The study was carried out as part of a clinical work placement in January and February 2024 at the Poliklinika AGEL Praha Italská. It consists of a kinesiology initial examination, a description of all therapeutic sessions, an exit kinesiology examination and an evaluation of the therapy effect. v Abstract Title: A case study focusing on the physiotherapeutic treatement of a patient with comminuted fracture of the distal part of the femur. Objectives: The aim of the theoretical part of the thesis was to find and elaborate theoretical information related to the above diagnosis including anatomy, fracture diagnosis, traumatology and treatment methods. The aim of the practical part of the thesis was to elaborate a case report of a patient with the above diagnosis including the design of therapy and to put the design of therapy into practice and then to evaluate the effectiveness of therapy in this particular patient. Methods: This bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. v Abstract Author: Alexandra Supervisor: Mgr. Ilona Title: A case study of a physiotherapeutic treatment for a pacient with a diagnosis after total hip replacement Objectives: Summarization of theoretical and practical knowledge about total hip replacement and to process the case study with this diagnosis. Methods: This thesis consists of two main parts - a theoretical part and special part. The theoretical part includes information of osteoarthrosis with total hip replacement. It describes the structure of the hip joint, defines osteoarthrosis and its risks, indications for the total endoprothesis, different types of hip implants, surgical approaches and pre- and post- rehabilitation processes. The special part contains the case study of pacient after implantation of the total hip endoprothesis. It presents the evaluation of the therapy which started on the fifth day after implantation and ended on the fourteenth day. Results: The short term goals which were specified at beginning of therapy were accomplished. We managed to increase the range of motion at the operated leg, increase muscle strength on weaker muscles, stretched shortened muscles and decreased muscle tone on hypertrofic muscles. Ilona Kučerová Title: Case study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a patient with Guillain-Barré syndrome Objectives: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to summarize basic knowledge about Guillain- Barré syndrome with the focus on physiotherapical care in the theoretical part and a subsequent case study of a patient with Guillain-Barré syndrome. Methodes: The bachelor's thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part contains the characteristics, classification, causes and diagnosis of Guillain-Barré syndrome. Furthermore, treatment options including physiotherapeutic approaches for the disease are elaborated here. The practical part contains a case study of physiotherapy care for a patient with Guillain-Barré syndrome. The case report consists of an initial and final examination, a description of the therapeutic sessions and an evaluation of the therapy effect. Results: After completing the therapy, the patient's stability and walking stereotype improved. The patient no longer needs a compensatory aid to walk. Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is elaboration of a case study of a patient after implantation total hip joint. Methods: The case study was elaborated at the impatient care. Part of the therapy the medical history was established and the elaboration of input and output kinesiological analysis. Afterward the objectives were made. During 9 therapeutic units in which was used excercises to prevent TEN. Next were used soft tissue techniques, joint play mobilization also techniques with soft balls, relaxing techniques, analitic strengthening, taking care of scar and practice of locomotion and mobility. Results: During the treatment pain was lowered, the swelling was reduced, the range of motion was increased same as muscle strenght, recovery of joint play and partial release of soft tissues. Reeducation of breathing stereotype and movement stereotype to abduction and extencion in hip joint prove to be unsuccessfull. Methods: This bachelor thesis has two parts. The general part summarizes the etiopathogenesis, classification according to different authors, clinical picture and diagnostics, mechanism of gait and treatment of calcific tendinitis of the Achilles tendon, where are described especially physiotherapeutic procedures and methods for use in the treatment of this diagnosis. Michaela Stupková Title: Case Study of Physiotherapeutic Treatment of a Patient after Lumbar Spine Surgery Objectives: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to summarize theoretical information regarding the diagnosis of lumbar spine stenosis. Furthermore, the aim is to use the practical skills achieved during the bachelor's degree in physiotherapy at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports of Charles University in the care of a patient after decompression surgery due to spinal canal stenosis. Methods: In order to process the theoretical part, a literature search was carried out, on the basis of which this part was created. A special part is dedicated to working with the patient, includes anamnesis, initial kinesiological analysis, proposal of short-term and long-term therapeutic plan, detailed description of therapeutic units, output kinesiological analysis and finally evaluation of the therapy effect. Methods: The bachelor thesis consists of a general part which, using literature, discusses the topic of proximal femur fractures and hip joint endoprosthesis. Irena Novotná Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to provide a detailed case study of a patient diagnosed with a condition following acetabular fracture, along with its theoretical background. Methods: The bachelor thesis was elaborated during the completion of continuous professional practice at the Rehabilitation Hospital in Beroun from 8. 1. 2024 2. 2. 2024. The thesis consists of a general and a specific part. The general part focuses on theoretical knowledge regarding the diagnosis of acetabular fracture and the possibilities of its treatment from both orthopedic and physiotherapeutic perspectives. The specific part includes the patient's medical history, initial kinesiological examination on the basis which a short-term and long-term therapeutic plan were made, followed by individual therapeutic units, an exit kinesiological examination and an evaluation of the therapy's effectiveness. Results: During the work with the patient, comprising 14 therapeutic units including initial and exit examinations, many positive changes occurred.
