Design of PET bottle recyclation device for creation of 3D printing filament
Huplík, Ondřej ; Kolomý, Štěpán (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The rise in popularity of 3D printing and the increasing amount of plastic waste are putting an emphasis on finding new sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions. This thesis addresses the issue of recycling plastic materials and how PET plastic can be used in 3D printing. The theoretical part describes the current possibilities of plastic recycling. The practical part focuses on the design of a device that accepts a PET bottle strip and converts it into filament by bringing it above the glass transition temperature. The device is designed with cost and compactness in mind. The device can be further improved and adapted for different types of plastic materials.
Device for measuring tensile tests of 3D printed materials
Besta, Pavel ; Binar, Tomáš (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the problematics of 3D printed materials, specifically with FDM and SLA methods of 3D printing and their reliability when it comes to tensile strength. After comes introduction of materials used in FDM and SLA 3D printing and description of how certain printing parameters affect the final mechanical properties of 3D printed parts. Last theoretical part of this thesis deals with tensile tests and the means of getting deformation curves out of these tests. In the practical part of this thesis is described the design of electronics for a device for measuring tensile tests provided by the institute of electrotechnology. Part of this thesis is also a detailed guide on how to perform and evaluate tensile tests and measured mechanical properties of some materials.
Construction of a small portable 3D printer
Netušil, Jan ; Vyroubal, Petr (referee) ; Bayer, Robert (advisor)
The study is dedicated to the description of 3D FDM printing technology, compares different types of 3D FDM printers and analyzes key components, especially those necessary for a stable portable 3D printer design. It also includes the specific design of the portable 3D FDM printer solution, its assembly, the actual enhancement of the design, and the design and implementation of the braking arresting elements. It also addresses the printing testing of advanced construction materials suitable for 3D FDM printing and provides a cost estimation and evaluation of the cost-effectiveness of building a portable 3D FDM printer.
Návrh autonomního vozidla
BAŠTÝŘ, Jan
The first part of the thesis deals with vehicle autonomy, its application, the levels of automation and then the problem. In the second part, the thesis focuses on artificial intelligence. A substantial part is devoted to Asimov's Laws of Robotics, as the founder of robotics. The practical part deals with the creation of a custom model of an autonomous vehicle, which is modelled in CAD software, printed out using a 3D printer and then assembled and set in motion for use in Agriculture 4.0. It is expected that this vehicle will be used, for example, in a greenhouse where it will collect the necessary data and can be modified if further needs arise.
Converting PET bottles into printing filament
TOŠER, Martin
This thesis deals with the development of a machine for converting PET bottles into printing filament. The theoretical aspect of the thesis is mainly focused on the history of 3D printing, comparison of its methods and sustainability. An important part of the thesis is also a chapter on the motivation to create the machine and a research of available solutions. Based on the choice of suitable machine design, the machine was built and tested. Instructions for its construction were created and uploaded to the Printables portal.
Design and implementation of 3D printer with network printing support
Špringer, Radek ; Hošek, Jiří (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to design a 3D printer type delta. To describe 3D printing technologies used by this printer, basic printer features and commercially available material used at the print and its comparison. To define all hardware components, which are necessary for construction of the 3D printer type delta. To create a proposal and construct an expansion board to which all hardware components of the printer will be connected. To optimize the print space heating and cooling of the printout. To extend the 3D printer with a Web server, which will ensure the network printing possibility.
3D printing large plastic stand
Sklenář, Michal ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the design and subsequent production of a large plastic stand on a 3D printer. The goal of the bachelor thesis is to divide the production process of the stand so that it can be realized it on a 3D printer workspace. Subsequently, there is an effort to save as much material as possible, but to ensure the full functionality of the stand as well. The topic of the thesis also shows defects and errors that are connected to the process of production and tries to outline their possible solutions. In conclusion, the financial side of production is evaluated, and the properties of the designed stand are compared with stands that are mass-produced. The whole set and design of the stand are conceived for the band "Zoo". The design of the stand is therefore set to produce only one piece.
Design and realization of extrusion machine for production of printing filament.
Török, Jozef ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (referee) ; Baštán, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the technology of production of filament, which is used in 3D printing, with the design of the construction as well as the production of the equipment of the production line for the processing of plastic granulate and with the design and implementation control system of production line. It partially solves the excessive occurrence of unnecessary plastics in the world as well as the processing of unsuccessful prints from a 3D printer.
A device for welding 3D printing filament
Roden, Lukáš ; Škaroupka, David (referee) ; Krčma, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with filament welding in 3D printers. During the print, there is often an extra part of the filament, that can be no longer used due to its small length. In this thesis I deal with the equipment construction for connecting these remnants of the cord or even longer pieces. In the first part is a search which deals with types of 3D printers, material of filaments and the issue of the welding process. In the second part, the acquired knowledge is used to create your own device design. More precisely, the analysis of the usability of individual materials and construction designs. In the last part I deal with a specific form solution of individual components.
Remote control of 3D printer
Kajzr, Miroslav ; Jaššo, Kamil (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
The essence of this work is to summarize the knowledge about 3D printing, especially with FDM technologies. Create an overview of used FDM printing materials, identify their advantages and disadvantages, technical parameters and usability. Another purpose of the thesis is to examine the print quality and its problems and specify types of surface finishes for selected materials. The content also includes remote control and monitoring of the 3D print process using the Raspberry Pi microcomputer and the print server named Octoprint.
