The role of the nurse in the care of the patient with dentophobia
ŠÍMOVÁ, Tereza
Dentophobia, known as fear of dentists, represents a common problem. For patients suffering from dentophobia, a visit to the dentist is often a source of stress and anxiety, which can lead to postponement of necessary care and deterioration of their dental condition. The theoretical part of the work deals with the issue of the origin of dentophobia, explains its etiology and reasons for its maintenance, and presents various alternative treatments. It also focuses on the importance of the nurse educator and the education process, which represents a key method for working with patients. Verbal and non-verbal communication, professional approach, and space for the patient's understanding of the provided information are key elements of care for patients with dentophobia. One of the goals is to gather available knowledge of the educational process of nurses about patients with dentophobia. The research part of the work focuses on data collection through semi-structured interviews with dental nurses. The questions are aimed at their experiences with patients suffering from dentophobia, recognizing this phobia, and subsequent interventions suitable for supporting patients. The aim is also to map out the means that denatl nurses use to educate patients. Furthermore to identify nursing problems in the care of patients with dentophobia. The collected data are processed for greater clarity using open coding. The results showed deficiencies in the awareness of dental nurses about dentophobia and the absence of educational materials for nurses to effectively educate patients with this phobia. These findings emphasize the need to improve nurses' awareness and provide suitable materials to help them better understand and support patients with dentophobia. Overall, it can be said that the research provided important insights into the state of awareness and availability of resources for nurses who are trying to educate patients with dentophobia.
Nursing care for oncological patients in orthopedics
PODLAHOVÁ, Tereza
Oncological orthopedics is a specialization that combines orthopedics and oncology in cases of cancer of the musculoskeletal system. Musculoskeletal tumors, also known as mesenchymal tumors, arise from mesenchymal cells. These cells are present in the tissues associated with the musculoskeletal system, which are bones, muscles, tendons, blood vessels, ligaments, joints or subcutaneous tissue. Mesenchymal tumors can be benign, malignant or have transitional features. The most well-known types of mesenchymal tumors of the musculoskeletal system are sarcomas, which include osteosarcomas, chondrosarcomas, and soft tissue sarcomas. Nursing care by a nurse is indicated when patients with cancer require nursing care as part of chemotherapy or radiotherapy treatment or after surgery, when patients require nursing care during orthopedic procedures. The goal of the nurse is to support and maintain the patient in the best possible physical and mental condition, minimize possible complications of oncological treatment and thus improve the patient's quality of life. In this bachelor thesis three objectives are set. The first goal is to find out what are the specifics of nursing care for a patient with oncological orthopedic disease. The second goal is to map the nursing care for surgical wounds in patients with oncological orthopedic disease. The third goal is to define the skills of nurses in relation to the care of patients with oncological orthopedic disease. The empirical part of the bachelor's thesis is devoted to qualitative research using semi-structured interviews with practical and general nurses from an orthopedic clinic. The results of this bachelor's thesis can be used as a source of information not only for the professional public, but especially for students of general nurses interested in working in orthopedic and oncology departments, as well as for practical and general nurses as a supplement or extension of their knowledge and skills. The research highlighted the specifics of wound care and nursing care for orthopedic oncology patients, emphasising the need for a multidisciplinary team and the potential complications of treatment and care associated with this condition, as well as highlighting the key skills for nurses working with these patients. The research also highlighted the need for better mental hygiene and non-verbal communication and included several recommendations for improving care.

Zhodnocení mléčné užitkovosti plemene lacaune ve vybraném chovu
COUFALOVÁ, Tereza
The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the performance characteristics of the Lacaune breed, i.e. the level of reproductive and production parameters in a selected herd. The breeding of sheep from Horní Dvorce Farm s.r.o. was selected for the research. A total of 1260 ewes were involved in the research, for which the data obtained from performance checks for a period of four years (2018 - 2021) and data on breeding values of ewes involved in performance checks were processed. The effect of age on milk yield was evaluated and it was found that the most productive ewes are those between 3 and 6 years of age. The fat and protein content increased from the first year of age , the lactose content decreased significantly with age. Another indicator was the order of lactation and its effect on milk yield, with ewes on their third and fourth lactations proving to be the most productive. There was a significant effect on fat content, protein content was not affected and lactose content did not decrease significantly with each successive lactation. Finally, the effect of litter frequency was also evaluated, showing a significant difference in milk yield between ewes with an only child and those with twins. At the same time, however, there was minimal or no effect of litter frequency on the content of all milk components studied.

The aforementioned disabled children are primarily children with mental retardation and children within the autistic spectrum. This thesis focuses on the reaction of siblings and parents to the diagnosis of the disabled child and its effect in the quality of the family life.
