Device for galvanic plating of 3D printed parts
Orgoň, Sebastián ; Starý, Jiří (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
This work aims to bring closer the process of galvanic plating of 3D prints, it is dedicated to individual parts of 3D printing where we go through different types of printing and materials. Also points out the importance of pre-treatments before galvanic plating and discusses the individual options for these pre-treatments. It also deals with galvanic plating itself, where it analyzes the principle of this technology of thin layer deposition and differentiates between the individual types of possible coatings used. At the same time, it deals with the parameters affecting this process and the quality of the applied layer. It also deals with the concept of the complex device for such galvanic plating and its implementation. At the end, through a series of experiments, searches for the optimal setting of the parameters for the plating process.
Plating of materials for 3D printing
Jančí, Jakub ; Bayer, Robert (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with an introduction to the issue of plating plastic parts printed on a 3D printer. The thesis includes an overview and comparison of 3D printing technologies and materials, particularly from the perspective of chemical resistance, plating, and soldering, which are used in 3D printing manufacturing technology. The thesis provides a detailed description and discussion on the application of metal coatings to printed objects made from various 3D printing materials. The practical part of the thesis focused on the production of test samples and their subsequent plating process.
Lead-free solder joint and environmental impacts
Kudláček, František ; Zatloukal, Miroslav (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to determine the effect of low-temperature lead-free solder during the aging process. The theoretical part deals with the types of lead-free solders and solder pastes used for the production of electrical circuits. In the practical part we deal with the design and measurement of the PCB. For our analysis, we pay more attention to the solder paste type Sn42Ag1Bi57 and its temperature profile. A four-point measurement method is used for evaluation, which shows us the difference between the measured values.
Stencil Printing of Solder Paste and Process Optimization for Increasing Yield
Flos, Milan ; Sedlaříková, Marie (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on the comprehensive analysis and optimization of the solder paste stencil printing process, which is crucial for the production of high quality and reliable electronic devices. The work includes a review of the historical development of printing technologies, a comparison of different types of stencils and their surface treatment methods such as plasma-coating and electro-polishing. The practical part analyses data from automatic optical inspection (AOI) and solder paste inspection (SPI), with results showing that plasma-coated stencils achieve higher print quality. The investigation of surface hydrophobicity and microscopic analysis of the stencils provide important insights for improving manufacturing processes in the electronics industry.
Wettability of pins with different surface treatments
Fabiánek, Marcel ; Zatloukal, Miroslav (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
The master thesis is devoted to the problem of wetting of lead components. It outlines the problems of soldering, solder joint formation. It looks at the area of pin wetting, which will be tested by the method of wetting scales and the formation of an intermetallic layer at the solder-pin interface. The formation of intermetallic layers will be observed on copper contacts electroplated with another metal.
Electrochemical Migration of Flux Residues and Sirface Insulation Resistance Changes
Hájka, Jan ; Zatloukal, Miroslav (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with electrochemical migration on printed circuit boards induced by flux residues. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the theory related to electromigration is discussed and the mechanisms of each type are described. The theory of fluxes is elaborated, focusing on the VOC-free fluxes Pacific 2009 mlf and Kester 979 T. In the practical part, the fabrication of test PCBs is described and the reproducibility of the fabrication process is observed. Furthermore, a methodology for testing the effect of flux residues on the surface insulation resistance according to the relevant standard is proposed. The proposed methodology is applied to compare the above mentioned fluxes and surface treatments.
The nature of highly permeable flowpaths in the Turonian aquifers in the eastern part of the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin
Starý, Jiří ; Bruthans, Jiří (advisor) ; Datel, Josef (referee) ; Tesař, Miroslav (referee)
The thesis deals with the study of highly permeable porosity and the potential for karstification in the area of the East Bohemian Cretaceous synclines, which are of great importance for water supply. The susceptibility of the rocks to karstification was studied by taking cores and determination of their calcite content and by leaching the cores in 10 % HCl and monitoring of rock disintegration after leaching. A scanning electron microscopy and elemental mapping by microprobe were used to understand the structure and composition of the rock. The nature of the inflow zones to the boreholes was studied by evaluating available well logging data, particularly acoustic well logging, inflow data to the boreholes and by leaching rock samples from cores taken from the depth intervals where inflows occurred. A total of 247 cores taken from both boreholes and surface outcrops were studied. Only 5 % of the samples from the Turonian B, Ca, Cb aquifers that disintegrate from more than 50 % after leaching will form karst conduits in tectonically intact rock. This representation is much lower than in the Jizera Formation in the western part of the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin. Only a small fraction of the samples disintegrate if calcite content is below 78 %, the majority show no or very little disintegration. Only...
FR4 base material - evaluation of flame retardant properties
Růžička, Miroslav ; Zatloukal, Miroslav (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
This work examines the flammability material FR4 (EN 61248-2-8) from different manufacturers, comparing their self-extinguishing properties to the standards and information from the manufacturer. Assesses the impact of latitude and longitude leads to the maximum possible current load associated with the occurrence of burning and compares the influence of the examined solder mask materials FR4.
Solderability of PCBs Surface Treatments and Environmental Influences
Jičínský, Jiří ; Zatloukal, Miroslav (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the properties of surface treatment of printed circuit boards. The main purpose of this work is to compare the OSP coating applied under laboratory conditions and the technological procedure established in the company ČEMEBO Blansko. Samples of ENIG, immersion tin and OSP compare due to their critical aspects. In the practical part, the samples au exposed to various elements of nature according to ČSN EN 60068-2. The surface wetting balance method will be used for better comparison and evaluation.
Temperature Profile in Reflow Soldering and Influence of Different PCBś and ComponentsThermal Capacities
Procházka, Martin ; Špinka, Jiří (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis mainly deals with the prediction of temperature on the components and the PCB during reflow soldering. The theoretical part describes the particular solder reflow process, types of heat transfer and temperature profiles. The practical part is divided into forecasting temperatures if the conveyor is stopped and the temperature predictions when the conveyor is in motion. In both parts of the measured temperature is compared with the predicted temperatures, which show the success rate of prediction. The last part of this work is part of the simulation, which helps in proper understanding of the issues discussed.
