Surfactant organogels as delivery systems for medical and cosmetic oils
Koláčková, Petra ; Mravec, Filip (referee) ; Pekař, Miloslav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to investigate the possible using of surfactant organogels in the cosmetic industry. Mainly, we focused on the ability of sugar surfactants to bind with medical (cosmetic) oil. With further heating, we observed transformation to the organogels. During the preparation of sugar surfactants, we decided to use the transesterification method. Another target was to verify functionality of this method and then proposed modifications to this process. Using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, we checked the chemical structure of our sugar-based surfactants.

The main aim of my bachelor thesis was to obtain and study information on bio-chemistry and technological processes in production of cheese with blue mould in the dough. I primarily focused on changes of sensory characteristics of blue veined cheese depending on grades of ripening. It was found out that cheese under goes many changes during the ripening period for example the decomposition of protein is a very important process as it influences an organoleptic feature. Another important finding was that the decomposition of milk fat was caused by lower fatty accids in methyl ketones.
Neoadjuvant therapies in patients with oesophageal carcinoma and the effect of therapy on renal function
Koláčková, Pavla ; Semecký, Vladimír (advisor) ; Herink, Josef (referee)
Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology Candidate: Mgr. Pavla Koláčková Supervisor: Doc. RNDr. Vladimír Semecký, CSc. Title of the diploma thesis: Neoadjuvant therapies in patients with oesophageal carcinoma and the effect of therapy on renal function The aim of this work is to compare the formulas used to estimate the glomerular filtration. The selected group of patients are patients with early oesophageal cancer who are treated with neoadjuvant therapy. This therapy consists of radiotherapy and chemotherapy, which consists of cisplatin and fluorouracil. Cisplatin has nephrotic effects. Methodology strives to describe as accurately as possible the current condition of the patient. The patient's characteristics consists of a biochemical analysis, a anamnesis of the patients and an analysis of the renal function. The effect of comorbidities and concomitant pharmacotherapy on renal fiction is monitored. Results of this work provide a comparison of individual calculations. An individual renal anamnesis has been created for each patient, including a comparison of individual glomerular filtration estimates. The overall number of patients is affected by an unfavourable prognosis, involvement of some them in clinical trials and a rapid...
Vliv syřidla na kvalitu sýření mléka

The topic of my diploma thesis deals with influence rennet to quality coagulation of milk. The theoretical part consists of general information about milk and milk composition. I also focused on curdling, types rennet and principle of milk coagu-lation. Last topic of theoretical part is about whey, whey composition and nutrition and whey colour. The practical part was focused on parameters, which influence qua-lity coagulation of milk. Among them includes analysis of milk, clotting time, quality curd, volume released whey, dry matter of whey, colour whey. These parameters are compared using different rennet. I also investigated the factors that influence milk curdling. The results suggest that composition of milk was comparable with results of the central laboratory. It was also found, that amount of rennet had an influence on coagulation time and volume of whey. More rennet had an influence of quality of curd and dry matter of whey. Amount of rennet did not infulence on whey colour. Type and amount of rennet may affect on individual parameters of whey colour.

Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biological and Medical Sciences Candidate: Pavla Koláčková Supervisor: Doc. RNDr. Vladimír Semecký, CSc. Name of dissertation: Sleep disorders - resistant forms The diploma thesis is about sleep disorders. Sleep disorders are a global problem, lots of people have these problems. This diploma thesis focuses on American International Classification of Sleep Disorders (ICSD) and its application in clinical practice. We have chosen methods that describe the current conditions of patients who have been in sleep clinics. The thesis contains questionnaires, relevant case study and personal interviews. The main contribution of this diploma thesis is a subjective assessment of patients' treatment including pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy. The results of this thesis include statistics of patients who are visiting psychiatric clinic in Centre of disorders of sleep and biorhythm in University Hospital in Hradec Králové and of their case studies of which we have selected the most interesting ones that describe this problem best. In this thesis we have found out that the statistical distribution of patients is different in comparison with epidemiology studies. The results are influenced by sleeping disorders treated in a sleep...
