Field Programmable Gate Arrays Usage in Industrial Automation Systems

Tato disertační práce se zabývá využitím programovatelných hradlových polí (FPGA) v diagnostice měničů, využívajících spínaných IGBT tranzistorů. Je zaměřena na budiče těchto výkonových tranzistorů a jejich struktury. Přechodné jevy veličin, jako jsou IG, VGE, VCE během procesu přepínání (zapnutí, vypnutí), mohou poukazovat na degradaci IGBT. Pro měření a monitorování těchto veličin byla navržena nová architektura budiče IGBT. Rychlé měření a monitorování během přepínacího děje vyžaduje vysokou vzorkovací frekvenci. Proto jsou navrhovány paralelní vysokorychlostní AD převodníky (> 50 MSPS). Práce je zaměřena převážně na návrh zařízení s FPGA včetně hardware a software. Byla navržena nová deska plošných spojů s FPGA, která plní požadované funkce, jako je řízení IGBT pomocí vícenásobných paralelních koncových stupňů, monitorování a diagnostiku, a propojení s řídicí jednotkou měniče.
Development of methodology for detection of circulating nucleic acids in cancer patients

Cancer diagnosis represents one of the most common causes of death in the world, also linked to an ever-increasing incidence of even some more difficult-to-treat variants. One of the most common types of cancer in the world is colorectal cancer, which ranks second in terms of mortality. For these reasons, various methods have been developed for an early diagnosis of the disease. One of the modern and non-invasive methods is the so-called liquid biopsy, based on the detection of circulating DNA and RNA from the blood of patients. This method is also suitable for choosing a therapy, monitoring its effectiveness, and observing the relapse of the disease. In this work, a methodical workflow was created for the monitoring of circulating nucleic acids for its further use in a cohort of patients with colorectal cancer. Various commercial kits were used for the isolation of circulating nucleic acids from plasma of healthy controls, among which the best ones, in terms of quality and quantity, was chosen. The threshold for hemolysis detection by qPCR was also determined using samples from healthy donors. Antitumour efficacy of gels containing liposomes with hydroxy-aluminium phthalocyanine in photodynamic therapy

The targets of the diploma thesis presented here were to establish the antitumour efficacy of a new liposomal product with hydroxy-aluminium phthalocyanine (PC) in photodynamic therapy (PDT) of malignant tumours and determine the optimum time interval between the topical application of the product and PDT (tumour exposure to light). Effects were examined of the PC concentration on the PDT efficacy in a colon carcinoma cell line (SW-620), mammary carcinoma cell line (MDA-MB-231) and human neuroblastoma cell line (UKF NB-3). Hydroxy-aluminium phthalocyanine was employed as a photosensitizer. Outbred athymic female nude CD-1 mice already bearing the above mentioned xenotransplanted tumours were used in the experiments. The area comprising the tumour was exposed to light from a xenon lamp (600-700 nm, 80 J/cm2 ). The results were statistically evaluated, summarized in tables and plotted in graphs. In the diploma work, the liposomal product containing phthalocyanine (9-18 mg/ml) was shown to have considerable antitumour effects in the types of tumours chosen. This master thesis focus on special type of rings called path algebras with a goal to define and describe codes over these rings. The path algebras are defined by graphic structures called quivers which is transferred also on the modules of the path algebra. Codes themselves are defined over indecomposible injective modules of path algebra considering the latest result in ring-coding theory. So defined codes allow us to study the parameters and the versions of elementary theorems from theory of linear codes over fields for codes over rings. These are about duals codes especially, the MacWilliams identity theorem and about code equivalency. Finally we get back to path algebras and describe a way to make them applicable in theory of codes over rings.
