Testing communication protocols using mobile technologies for the Internet of Things LTE-M and NB-IoT
Bartko, Samuel ; Dvořák, Radim (referee) ; Možný, Radek (advisor)
This thesis focuses on a comprehensive investigation and evaluation of the currently widespread communication protocols in the dynamically developing IoT sector (Internet of Things). With the proliferation of IoT, there is a need to create new technologies for efficient interconnection of hysical and digital worlds. The main objective of this work is to test and evaluate the suitability of use and optimal configuration of communication protocols in the context of the latest implementations of mobile technologies for IoT, namely LTE-M (Long-Term Evolution Machine Type Communication) and NB-IoT (Narrowband Internet of Things). This thesis investigates and evaluates the current communication protocols for the Internet of Things (IoT), focusing on LTE-M and NB-IoT. It includes a theoretical perspective on IoT, description of mobile technologies and analysis of protocols such as MQTT, CoAP and LwM2M. A practical part is devoted to testing and optimization of these protocols. The result of the work is providing\break a comprehensive overview and practical recommendations for use and configuration communication protocols in the framework of NB-IoT and LTE-M technologies.
Data acquisition, visualisation and data processing of measuring of electrical energy consumption in BUT buildings
Dvořák, Radim ; Bátora, Branislav (referee) ; Janík, Daniel (advisor)
This thesis focuses on implementing energy management within individual buildings and campuses of BUT (Brno University of Technology). Specifically, it addresses the deployment of detailed sub-metering for electrical energy consumption and the creation of a user-friendly environment for working with the collected data. The work also includes establishing a database for data storage and enabling communication between the BUT metering elements and the storage and subsequent visualization of the measured data.
Application for communication simulation and visualisation in 3GPP 4G/5G mobile networks.
Fašanga, Jozef ; Štůsek, Martin (referee) ; Dvořák, Radim (advisor)
Mobile networks constitute a key pillar of contemporary life, enabling connectivity regardless of location. This work focuses on the development and simulation of 4G/5G mobile networks according to the 3GPP standard. 4G/5G networks have evolved from simple voice services to sophisticated systems for data transmission. Simulation tools simplify the understanding of their complexity. The paper provides insight into the history and future of these networks, describing application design processes from both the designer’s and developer’s perspectives. The theoretical section analyzes the architecture and new technologies of 4G/5G networks. The final part emphasizes the field of graphic design for applications with a focus on aesthetics and user-friendliness. The work further describes the design of the application itself, along with an explanation of the correct choice of programming language and tools for implementation.
Asynchronous time integration while achieving zero interface energy
Dvořák, Radim ; Kolman, Radek ; Falta, J. ; Neühauserová, M.
This contribution deals with an asynchronous direct time integration of the finite-element model. The proposed method is applied to the phenomenon of wave propagation through an elastic linear continuum. The numerical model is partitioned into individual subdomains using the domain decomposition method by means of localized Lagrange multipliers. For each subdomain, different time discretizations are used. No restrictions for relation between subdomain’s time steps are imposed. The coupling of the subdomains is forced by an acceleration continuity condition. Additionally, we use the a posteriori technique to also provide the displacement and velocity continuity at the interfaces, and hence we obtain exact continuity of all three kinematic fields. The proposed method is experimentally validated using the modified SHPB (split Hopkinson pressure bar) setup.
Realization of simple active elements employing commercially available BJT/MOS arrays
Vyčítal, Jaroslav ; Dvořák, Radek (referee) ; Šotner, Roman (advisor)
The subject of the work is an introduction to the functions of the current mirrors and differential pairs. Consequently, understanding and simulated simple circuits composed of these circuits. The simulation results are in Chapter 5, which are also included diagrams of simulated circuits..
Electronic RLC meter
Dvořák, Radim ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
This work deals with measurement methods of passive components R, L ,C used almost in every electrical circuit. Work describes progress of choosing the right methods for measurement and also the process of designing the autonomous RLC meter with use of ATMEL microprocessor chips. The RLC meter will be powered from rechargable battery and will be able to measure primary attributes of RLC components.
Biogas cleaning to substitute natural gas quality
Němec, Jan ; Niesner, Jakub (referee) ; Dvořák, Radek (advisor)
This work deals with methods of biogas cleaning to natural gas quality for further use. The introduction is focused on technologies for biogas treatment and biogas management for current situation in the Czech Republic. In the main chapter there is a water scrubber technology design and calculation of the absorption column for the conditions given. A simulation model and preliminary economic balance were then developed on the obtained data.
Adaptive Model for Simulation of Atmospheric Pollution
Pazúriková, Jana ; Šátek, Václav (referee) ; Dvořák, Radim (advisor)
Air pollution harms the environment and human welfare. Computer models and their simulation are useful tools for deeper understanding of processes behind as they quite accurately represent the dispersion and transformation of pollutants with advection diffusion equation or by other concepts. Current models give valid results only to constrained cases of initial conditions. The general model combining the several specific models which is able to change according to input parametres and improve with training is proposed. The adaptiveness of the system is provided by decision tree as data structure with information for selection and combination process and genetic algorithm as optimization method for adjusting the tree. The evaluation of implemented system proves that the combination of models gives better results than models themselves. Even with simple specific models, the system has achieved results comparable to state-of-art models of air pollution.
House in Vsetín
Dvořák, Roman ; Skřeková, Tereza (referee) ; Rusinová, Marie (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is design documentation of a detached house with business premises. The object is located in village of Vsetín, set in flat terrain. The building is divided to the detached house and to the business premises. The business premises is designed as a hairdresser´s for one hairdresser. The detached house is with partial basement, it has two above-ground floors and its roofed with warm flat roof. The roof over 1.NP will be used as a terrace. The structural system of a building is made from ceramic blocks Heluz Family 50 2in1, structures and ceillings are made of cast-in-place reinforced concrete. The part of documentation is fire safety assessment, thermal assessment, acoustic assessment and the daylighting assessment.
NOx reduction in flue gas
Rumánek, Tomáš ; Jedlička, Filip (referee) ; Dvořák, Radek (advisor)
My master´s thesis deals with the problems of NOx abatement that are included in flue gas. The accent is put on flue gases treatment throug cloth filter or ceramic candles, where the deposited catalyst enables NOx reduction throug the method of selective cytalytic reduction. In thesis is also describe experimental unit which current remove gaseous pollutants (dioxin, VOC and NOX) and ash on catalytic cloth filter or catalytic ceramic candles. For experimental unit has been calculated pressure drop. Pressure drop has been calculated for nominal and maximal conditions for cloth filter and ceramic candle. Last part of thesis deals with compile a experimental schemes for different concentration of NO, flow and temperature of combustion.
