Performance optimisation of turbocharged engine for Formula Student
Formula Student Turbocharger Lubrigation
Novotný, Tomáš ; Špičák, Milan (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with turbocharger´s bearing housing lubrication. The first part is focused on searches about this topic, it describes parts of lubrication system and ways of oil distribution. The next part deals with design of independent lubrication system for Formula student car´s turbocharger, in particular design of gerotor pump and it´s pressure regulator.
Fuel injector characteristics measurement of spark-ignited engine
Černý, Martin ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Špičák, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this work will be to research dealing with issues about the fuel injection petrol engines, in particular fuel injectors for engines with direct and indirect fuel injection. In the next part make a proposal to build a system for implementation of test injection valves.
Advanced Control Algorithms of Powertrain Units
Špičák, Milan ; Puškár, Michal (referee) ; Slimařík,, Dušan (referee) ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This thesis describes computational control of vehicle powertrains using common variable, engine torque. The thesis is divided into three main parts. The first one shows design of methods for torque estimation using known or measured variables on the vehicle. The second part contains design of powertrain control algorithm utilizing the engine torque as a common variable among individual modules. The third part describes experimental optimization of the longitudinal acceleration of a vehicle using torque control.
Conception of mounting Formula Student engine to dynamometer
Špičák, Milan ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes the mounting of single cylinder motorcycle engine on a dynamometer. The first part is about Formula Student competition. It also contains an overview of the motor testing cells, including measuring equipment. Finally describes the draft of mounting the engine Husaberg FE 570 on dynamometer Superflow SF-902 including virtual model for illustration.
Powertrain of single cylinder engine
Vašek, Lukáš ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Špičák, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the balance crank mechanism for powertrain vehicle category Formula Student. These are the two engines of series production Husaberg FE 570 Husaberg FE 510. Furthermore, there are two other modifications Husaberg FE 510. It assesses the balance of the sliding forces and the ratio between the static moment of the contrarotating balaning shaft and the crank shaft.
Valve Train for Turbocharged Formula Student Engine
Buchta, Martin ; Špičák, Milan (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with valve train design of turbocharged engine used in Formula Student category race car. Based on thermodynamic model, a proper valve timing was chosen to achieve maximum power at high engine speed. A kinematic model was used to compute final cam profiles and CAD model was created.
