Comparison of efficiency in lexicon test for children with Specific language impairment and children with acquired aphasia

The thesis is composed of two main parts - the theoretical and the practical one. The theoretical part sums up the knowledge about language communication, word and lexicon, and mentions diversity of access to model of the language with emphasis on localization lexicon in the human brain. There is also outlined physiological and pathological development of the lexicon, word-stock problems by children with Specific language impairment and children with acquired aphasia, and finally options of lexicon assessment in the Czech. Practical part is focused on evaluation of lexicon in children divided into the three groups. Each group is consists of three age categories. To analyse lexical profile of these children was compiled the test, which contains ten subtests intent on the rate in obtaining words, structuring of mental lexicon and meaning of the words. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate differences of lexicon between intact children, children with Specific language impairment and children with acquired aphasia. Group stimulation preschoolers'speech development programme focused on Romany children

Creating a group stimulation preschoolers' programme focused on Romany children has been the main aim of this paper. The programme shall focus on stimulation partial components of speech and other speech related areas. Theoretical part of the paper focuses on the area of culture, upbringing and language of Romas. Further on it focuses on the area of education of Romany children, their specifics and reason for school failures in local school system. The theoretical part of my paper also covers the area of logopedical care in Romany children. Practical part describes a group stimulation preschoolers' programme. It is a speech centred programme. In the latter parts data collected in the programme are compared and final data analysis is perfomed. Forming the above mentioned programme is the final outcome of the diploma paper.
Implementation of the interdisciplinary approach from the perspective of parents of children with orofacial clefts

My Diploma Thesis deals with facial cleft defects. It focuses on the interdisciplinary approaches in their therapy in the Czech Republic from the perspective of parents of children with orofacial clefts. Moreover, it monitors the current trends in this area. Based on the directive, American Cleft palate-Craniofacial Association (ACPA) and the Standard of care for patients with cleft lip and palate in Europe, the Thesis surveys the implementation of those recommendations into cleft centres in the Czech Republic. Possibilities of logopedic intersention in geriatric medical institution

The topic of the thesis deals with the issue of the people after cerebrovascular events and their subsequent rehabilitation. Introduction of the theoretical part is devoted to the definition of age in terms of physiology and psychology. The starting point for a theoretical treatment of the subject is the concept of comprehensive care for people after cerebrovascular events. On the basis of theoretical texts, this part focuses on the most common types of communication disorders in people with neurological disease, especially on aphasia, dysarthria, dysphagia, and cognitive communication disorders. I focused the practical part on the case histories of two patiens at Geriatric and rehabilitation center in Kladno, where I had watched their three-month stay. I gave the greatest attention primarily on speech therapy, but I also focused on other provided care. This section also includes a rating scale of the availability and level of speech intervention. The results of this work is evaluation of speech therapy, physiotherapy and ergotherapeutic activities in a rehabilitation facility. The information should help to consider the need for high quality and comprehensive care for people after cerebrovascular events.
Developing communication in children with Cochlear implants

This thesis in theoretical part describes the problems of hearing impairment people, indicates the importance of hearing for child's socialization, and outlines the possibilities of education for children with cochlear implants. Provides basic information about hearing defects, which are divided by type, grade and time of origination. Then focuses on communication of people with hearing disabilities, especially the kinds of communication and specific communication of children with cochlear implants. Further deals with the cochlear implant as a major compensatory utility for the deaf. The practical part of this thesis includes three case studies of children with cochlear implants which includes observation of the development of children's speech and evaluates the success of implantation for the use of speech. An integral part of this work is elaborating with recommendations and drafts of the educational thematic plan for children with cochlear implants in the first grade of primary school for the hearing impaired.

The theme of this Masters Thesis is Stimulation of Lexical semantics with Focus on Antonyms for Pre-school Age Children with Specific Language Impairtment. The aim of the Thesis is to create didactic materials for stimulation of antonyms. Lexical semantics will be theoretically described as well as the pre-school speech development and possibilities of stimulation of lexical semantics. Accessibility of materials for stimulation of antonyms will be identified and the usage of antonyms in pre-school children with specific language impairment will be surveyed.
Analyse logopaedics' solicitude along combined handicap

This diploma work analyses the logopaedics" care with mid-hard (heavy) up to hard (heavy) mentally affection in combination with Childs cerebral palsy. The theoretical part describes symptomatic infelicities of the speech with combined handicap, its symptomatology and diagnostic. The main emphasis insists on the area of logopaedics' therapy. This therapy is focused on the individual aspects of the therapy where are included the systems of alternative and augmentative communication. Closing chapter of theoretical part is integrated rehabilitation rated from the point of view of complex care. The applied (practical) part includes the boy's casuistic which describes the single components of logopaedics' care comprendious sorted by areas of stimulation and time period. The aim of this work was the analysis and reviewing of provided logopaedics' care until now, its complexity, suitability and the solutions of the communication.
Analysis of chosen forms of primary prevention of communication disorders

The thesis focuses on primary prevention of communication disorders and its means. The goal of the theoretical part is to describe the ontogenesis of speech from several points of view, both traditional and modern, and to introduce communicative disability and its basic categories. It also delimits the issue of communication disorders prevention in general, characterizes its specific features and introduces its methods and means. The goal of the practical part is to analyze the quality of information about children speech, language and communication included in various information sources, whose main target group are parents, and consequently to find out, to what extend this input really gets to the target group. Adaptation test ANELT into Czech language

This Master thesis " Adaptation test ANELT into Czech language" deal with diagnostic tools for measuring the verbal communicative ability of patients with aphasia in everyday language situations. I focused specifically on the Dutch speech therapy test ANELT (AmsterdamNijmegen Everyday Language Test), which was designed to measure the level of verbal communication skills of aphasic patients. The aim of the thesis is a translation test ANELT and its adaptation to the Czech language environment. In the first chapter of the thesis is outlined broad meaning of diagnosis, which is used in many scientific disciplines. The second chapter deals in detail with diagnostic of speech therapy, its objectives, methods and factors that affect speech therapy diagnosis. The third chapter provides an overview of tools used for diagnosis of aphasia in the Czech Republic. The fourth chapter discusses the standards for diagnostic tools and the rules that apply to the creation of language versions. The fifth chapter presents detailed test ANELT inform also about the aims, development and basic principles of administration. In the sixth chapter we read about the techniques of quantitative research, which has been used in the implementation of the objectives thesis. Enhancing parental competencies for children with developmental dysphasia

ANNOTATION: This thesis is concerned with problems of parents with children suffering from specific language impainnent, with their parental competencies and their fortification. The thesis consists of six individual chapters. The first four chapters are theoretical, aimed at definition of basic tenns such as family, disability, speech therapy, cooperation of the speech therapist with the family of a child suffering from SLI. The fourth chapter features an analysis of accessible foreign parental programmes and also a brief characterization of domestic citizen-action public providing logopaedic or other care to people with disabilities. The fifth chapter includes an own support programme for parents of children with specific language impairment. The sixth chapter is of practical orientation; it consists of an analysis of an inquiry via questionnaire. Parents of children with specific language impainnent are the respondents of this inquiry. The aim of the above mentioned inquiry is to ascertain demand for parental support courses.
