Title: Bullying in Basic Schools: Solving the Problem from Pupil's Point of View Abstract: This diploma thesis deals with bullying at primary schools. The theoretical section describes the definition of bullying, bullying division, the stages of bullying, its protagonists, and the procedure of current best practice in the prevention and eradication of bullying. The aim of the empirical part is find out how effective The Minimal Preventive Programme is in one particular Prague primary school. Research was carried out through interviews. This paper presents views and ideas of how to solve the problem of bullying from the student's point of view. The results of the research show that the goals in bullying prevention have been fulfilled. The school prevents bullying, teachers and students are sufficiently confident in this issue. The aim of the thesis is to reflect on the changes which have come with the implementation of the structured studies in teacher education programme in the Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Education, Charles University in Prague and to present survey results about the opinions of both the students and the academic staff at the Department. In the theoretical part of the work the Bologna process is introduced - its goals, development and the reaction on its introduction in the Czech Republic. The concept of the teacher education from before the Bologna process is described. A comparison has been drawn to the teacher education programme in Germany. Teachers bullied in contemporary times

This thesis examines the problem of pupils bullying teachers. It describes what factors influence students bullying teachers, and searching for ways how to prevent it. The theoretical and the research part are closely related. Many points in the theoretical part were influenced by the research made. The research examines specifically cyberbullying of teachers. It is based on eighteen videos showcasing this topic. Some of these videos were recorded while bullying was happening, or they were the tool to bully the teacher when made public. The research sample of teachers and students expressed their stand and opinion about the recordings. An analysis based on the qualitative research followed. The research part discovers the trigger and if the purpose of the bullying was to cause the teacher to leave school. It also describes how teachers should respond in that particular situation. Elements of Information Literacy and Netiquette Knowledge among Primary School Students in Klatovy Region in the Czech Republic

This master thesis deals with some elements of information literacy throught the term netiquette. The netiquette's relation with etics and etiquette is described in the theoretical part. This part's interest lies in the organisations engaged in netiquette, cyberspace, language and chosen elements of information literacy in connection with the computer literacy. The empirical part of the research handles the knowledge of netiquette at 4th and 5th grade students of elementary schools. Using an anonymous questionnary, the research's objective was to discover the acquaintance of the term netiquette and to realise the differences of the acquirement according to the size of the location of their elementary school, to the sex of subject and to the socioeconomic status of students. The research detects the relation of the information literacy with more facts, as having computer at home, knowing how to use computer and internet, managing the basic manipulation, being familiar with the safety rules. According to the investigation, all the asken students have modern technologies at home with ratio of 27% of the students on the countryside and 59% of the students living in a town, overal 43% of asked subjects are familiar with the netiquette. Forms of risky behavior and their prevention

The title "Forms of risky behaviour and their prevention" predicates the focus of the thesis. The theoretical part is divided into three chapters. The first chapter characterizes risky behaviour and outlines its forms. The second chapter deals with the phenomenon of bullying. It describes its characters, types and forms, defines the types of progression and shows what to do when somebody investigates bullying. The third chapter is devoted to prevention. It gives basic information about effective prevention, legislation and institutions dealing with the primary prevention. Further it mentions the function of School Methodist of Prevention and Minimum Preventive Program. The empiric part provides a set of methodical and working sheets focusing on the education of harmonious social relationships. The activities included in these sheets are a part of a program for pupils, which can be one variation of bullying prevention. Problems of bullied pupils and teachers in elementary schools

The thesis is focused on problems of bullied pupils and teachers in elementary schools. The theoretical part describes the matter of bullied pupils and teachers. The terms like bullying and cyber bullying are explained. The thesis also deals with main signals, phases and forms of bullying. It defines main actors of bullying, their relations and the consequences which bullying causes. The thesis also deals with the characteristic of bullying and its preventing. The practical part is made by the research which is focused on the issue of bullying in children collective and bullying teachers. The research instruments were questionnaires about bullying, their goals were to find out the occurence of bullying between the pupils and the teachers. The results proved that the bullying occures in a third of the pupils who were also able to describe how and how often they are hurt. It was also proved that the bullying is such an unpleasant topic between teachers that they are not able to accept its existence and that it is very problematic to find the way to solve it. The results are processed both in written form and graphic form in wiev of the theoretic knowledge from the first part.

Prestige of the teaching profession

1 Abstrakt Bachelor thesis is focused on the prestige of the teaching profession. The theoretical part is devoted to the specification of the basic conscepts like prestige, social status and teacher. In the next part I characterize the teaching profession as a full-fledged profession which is focused on profession identity of teachers, demands on teachers, the most common problems which the teachers in their jobs face and the responsibilities of teachers. In the next part I descibe particular elements, which shape and influence the prestige of the theaching profession. The practical part of the thesis is based on a questionnaire survey, which was given to the students and teachers of the elementary school Most, Václava Talicha 1855 and on the leading of structured interviews that were made with teachers who work at this school. The aim of this research is to find out how students and teachers of the selected school perceive the prestige of teaching profession. Next goal is to infer and substantiate the level of prestige of the teaching profession, which students and teachers attribute to the teaching proffesion at this elementary school.
