Specifics of Leading of Intercultural IT Company in Brno

The World is becoming global and also the companies. They are expanding their business outside the current location. This trend brings new challenges to the top management and to line managers to be able lead not just people with same culture, but also lead and cooperate with reportees from different cultures. Leaders need to be able to lead teams consisted from people of various gender, religion, age, sexual orientation or color. Managers need to be aware of those specifics in order to use full potential of whole team. The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze those specifics of leading of intercultural IT company based on semi-structured interviews with expats, free associations, analysis of company documents and guided discussion and design methods and recommendations to be able to lead intercultural teams more effectively, mainly in IT field.

Roles and Positions of Expatriats in Selected Organisations

The master's thesis investigates the employment of foreigners in the Czech Republic, work, personal, and family life of expatriats, community life and other influence over the integration of expatriats. In the theoretical part there are drawn up basic theoretical attitudes to these problems. In the practical part you can find the results of the interviews realized with expatriats. On the basis of the results the analysis of quality data was realized and the changes were suggested. They are aimed to make easy and streamline cooperation of all parties concerned.

The master’s thesis analysis possibilities for work-life balance of women and men in leadership in academic sphere. It specifies gender roles, labor market segregation, stereotypes in population and outlines the benefits of implementation of equal opportunities for employers. The empirical part focuses in accord with the aim of the thesis on the issue of harmonization of work and family, and analyzes in detail the differences between men and women, their mutual cooperation and the reasons for the low representation of women in management positions.

The Master´s thesis deals with specifics of personal leadership or management in companies with advanced technologies, called high-tech. Using questionnaire investigation in addition to structured interview is analyzed situation in personal area in the high-tech company . Theoretical part defines high-tech sector, describes activities and purpose of personal unit and modern conception of development of human resources. Below is entertained about influence of corporate culture on the strategy of human ressource development. Female Leaders and Their Contribution for a Company

This thesis is focused on the issue of women in managerial positions in a selected construction company. It analyzes the situation of women in the company, gender in the management and gender integration in the company. The specific problems of women in this company’s management are characterized on a basis of a survey. At the end of this thesis there are practical suggestions regarding how women can assert themselves on managerial positions with possible contribution to the company.

This thesis deals with essential steps that are necessary to start-up home care agency. The goal is to determine whether it is nowadays a lucrative business to provide health and social care in this way. In terms of specificity of health care, the thesis includes both a detailed analysis of current state of the health care market and the theoretical knowledge of legislative and legal regulations associated with the establishment of home care agency.
