Determination of basic form of words
Šanda, Pavel ; Burget, Radim (referee) ; Karásek, Jan (advisor)
Lemmatization is an important preprocessing step for many applications of text mining. Lemmatization process is similar to the stemming process, with the difference that determines not only the word stem, but it´s trying to determines the basic form of the word using the methods Brute Force and Suffix Stripping. The main aim of this paper is to present methods for algorithmic improvements Czech lemmatization. The created training set of data are content of this paper and can be freely used for student and academic works dealing with similar problematics.
Remote Client Security
Friedberg, Jiří ; Karásek, Jan (referee) ; Malina, Lukáš (advisor)
This master’s thesis is devoted to safe operating remote station. The security of data and electronic services is very important nowadays because the number of attacks to computer networks is increasing. The security of network services and information can be provided in several different ways which can be combined. The basic security mechanisms are authentication and data encryption. Both these methods are included to the implementation of operating remote station which is the main part of this work. The user of the resulting application will have a choice from several methods of authentication and data encryption. Whole traffic is encryption from the transfer of view of remote desktop to the transfer of files. Safety factor depends only up to the user consequently on that what type of authentication and encryption the user choose. The thesis also deals with analysis of implemented safely functions. Brings the results of analysis of effect of encryption algorithms to data connection of remote desktop.
Text data clustering algorithms
Sedláček, Josef ; Burget, Radim (referee) ; Karásek, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deals with text mining. It describes the theory of text document clustering as well as algorithms used for clustering. This theory serves as a basis for developing an application for clustering text data. The application is developed in Java programming language and contains three methods used for clustering. The user can choose which method will be used for clustering the collection of documents. The implemented methods are K medoids, BiSec K medoids, and SOM (self-organization maps). The application also includes a validation set, which was specially created for the diploma thesis and it is used for testing the algorithms. Finally, the algorithms are compared according to obtained results.

Implementation of an evolutionary expert system
Bukáček, Jan ; Müller, Jakub (referee) ; Karásek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis is focused on working up evolutionals and genetics algorithms issues Especially for multiobjective algorithms VEGA, SPEA and NSGA – II. Thereinafter one of FrameWork working with genetics algorithms namely WWW NIMBUS. From this mentioned algorithms was selected VEGA algorithm for implementation in JAVA to preselected problem. Thereby problem is choice thick columns of profile according to predetermined criteria. Selected algorithm works on division of population into several groups and each group evaluates the resulting fitness function. Here is a sample implementation of this algorithm. Furthermore there is a example of working with FrameWork. In the next section are compared the results of generated progam with results that were obtained by FrameWork WWW NIMBUS. As for VEGA, and the Nimbus there are shown different results. The VEGA is presented also the development of individual fitness functions. Also, there are shown graphs, that can be obtained from NIMBUS. At the end of work is introduced the comparation of the results ane propose possible improvements.

Hash functions - characteristics, implementation and collisions
Karásek, Jan ; Sobotka, Jiří (referee) ; Lambertová, Petra (advisor)
Hash functions belong to elements of modern cryptography. Their task is to transfer the data expected on the entry into a unique bite sequence. Hash functions are used in many application areas, such as message integrity verification, information authentication, and are used in cryptographic protocols, to compare data and other applications. The goal of the master’s thesis is to characterize hash functions to describe their basic characteristics and use. Next task was to focus on one hash function, in particular MD5, and describe it properly. That means, to describe its construction, safety and possible attacks on this function. The last task was to implement this function and collisions. The introductory chapters describe the basic definition of hash function, the properties of the function. The chapters mention the methods preventing collisions and the areas were the hash functions are used. Further chapters are focused on the characteristics of various types of hash functions. These types include basic hash functions built on basic bit operations, perfect hash functions and cryptographic hash functions. After concluding the characteristics of hash functions, I devoted to practical matters. The thesis describes the basic appearance and control of the program and its individual functions which are explained theoretically. The following text describes the function MD5, its construction, safety risks and implementation. The last chapter refers to attacks on hash functions and describes the hash function tunneling method, brute force attack and dictionary attack.

Karásek, Jan ; Tripes, Stanislav (advisor) ; Král, Pavel (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis has been to approach two selected activities and methods from human resource management used by ice hockey clubs. Specifically, it has been about evaluation of the players of selected ice hockey clubs. The practical part has been based on interview which had been made with the employees of the clubs that deal with this issue. The semi-structured interview had been used, where the questions were arranged according to the activities they have been related to. The benefit of the practical part has been to provide the information about the evaluation methods the selected ice hockey clubs use. Qualitative data has been collected. The result of this bachelor thesis has been the comparison between the methods of evaluation of each clubs, advantages and disadvantages of each method and the forms of evaluation. The result of this thesis can be used as a way how to reduce wage costs in ice hockey clubs.
Giuseppe Verdi : Otello : Prague and Pilsen production
Karásek, Jan ; Kusnjer, Ivan (advisor) ; Hajóssyová, Magdaléna (referee)
The last opera but one by Giuseppe Verdi, Otello, does not belong to often performed ones in the Czech Republic. Despite this fact there were several successful production of Otello in the last years. To these good ones belong Pilsen production ( The Josef Kajetán Tyl Theatre, 2007) a Prague production ( Prage State Opera 2009). In Otello, Verdi´s masterpiece (premiere 1987 in La Scala, Milan), the composer applied new approach.Contrary to former numbered scenes he created complex interweaving of all opera components. As a theme served Shakespeare´s tragedy that remains actual even after four hundred years. Yet Verdi and his librettist Arrigo Boito changed the story a bit - or adapted it to the opera scenes to be more precise. All this was successfully capitalized by directors of both above mentioned productions Ladislav Štros in Pilsen and Lubor Cukr in Prague.Prague production, which was a renewed production of the successful one from 1991, was distinguished by a brief, pure scene, which catalyzed the characters and the singer´s performace. Even though the performace or the singers in Pilsen production was not always meeting the Prague standards, the scene was richer and the stylization fitted the director´s intentions. Both productions were well appreciated both by experts and by the audience. The fact they were performed for several years can serve as a proof.
