Internet of Things Device Based on ZigBee and 6LoWPAN
Halász, Dávid ; Mlích, Jozef (referee) ; Musil, Petr (advisor)
Internet of Things is the latest phenomenon in the computing industry. Even if it has not been completely defined yet, we are already surrounded by various devices connected to the Internet. This thesis project focuses on low cost and low-power wireless solutions and on the on-line backend behind the architecture. At the same time the present work also deals with Cloud Computing which can provide a highly scalable runtime environment for this backend without building an infrastructure. To handle the huge amount of data collected by billions of devices, BigData services could be used in the same cloud space. The project is a collection of the theoretical background of the Internet of Things; so as a result, it provides the reader with an overview of the concept. It also provides a walktrough of the design, implementation and testing process of a complex agricultural Internet of Things solution.
Software for Design of Timetables
Bureš, Jan ; Mlích, Jozef (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design a software for elementary, middle and high schools, which will serve to create alternative timetables for staff substitutions. There are similarly oriented programs, but most schools don't use them. These programs contain many flaws, which are also discussed in this work. Creating substitution schedules is complicated, and a lot of conditions must be taken care of. Checking of all the conditions should be the main advantage of the application. Design and implementation of the application is based on requirements by a school, where substitution timetables are produced manually. Great emphasis is placed on user friendliness and ease of use.
HTML Virtual Waiting Room Client
Bukovčák, Jakub ; Mlích, Jozef (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on developing and implementation of virtual waiting room for HTML client. The goal of this thesis was to create a reservation system that allows to client to make reservations. This system is optimized for mobile devices. User can choose from the companies which will be the part of the virtual waiting room and make the reservation of the services they offer. The contribution of this thesis for the user is to save his time which he would have to spend by waiting for the service in the queue. The contribution for the company is better organization and administration of the reservations, which will increase the effectivity in scheduling of the reservations. Moreover, it will also lead to an increase of customer´s satisfaction with the company services.
Navigation System for Pilots
Kryl, Jan ; Vlk, Jan (referee) ; Mlích, Jozef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis concerns design and creation of a navigational system as a tool for pilots of gliders, paragliders, helicopters or ultralight planes. Rendering of map basis is critical part for realization of this project. The way of this rendering is described in the paper, including theory concerning the topic. The paper also contains description of draft and implementation of application.
Interactive Document Sharing
Jóba, Viktor ; Jurzykowski, Michal (referee) ; Mlích, Jozef (advisor)
The thesis deals with the real-time sharing and editing of text documents in the network. The synchronization of the document content for all users in the shared session is ensured by the algorithm of operational transformations. This method is described in the thesis in detail. The outcome of the thesis is a simple text editor that communicates over the network using the extended version of the XMPP protocol. One of the users creates a document sharing session in the editor and invites other users to cooperate on the rich text document that can be saved in HTML or exported into PDF.
Port of Digger Game to the Modern Operating Systems
Pres, Martin ; Mlích, Jozef (referee) ; Pečiva, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis concerns development of the port of Digger game. The port of game is modeled after the Digger Remastered game. Development starts from behaviour analysis of existing game, followed by application proposal, implementation in C++ and distribution. Teoretical part of this thesis concerns selection of appropriate libraries from the Qt framework and proposals of game mechanics. Practical part concerns implementation of proposed entities and distribution of final product.
Social Desktop
Schiffer, Peter ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Mlích, Jozef (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis describes problem of social networking and its influence to everyday usage of personal computers. It introduces project KDE Silk, which is integrating web services into workspace of desktop environment and making daily work not only with social networks easier and more pleasant. As practical part of this thesis is presented addon for KDE Plasma - Geoweb implemented as part of KDE Silk. Geoweb is used for managing actual user location with additional information relevant to the given position. Various types of information are provided as plugins for Geoweb.
Mouse-Less Keyboard-Less Human-Computer Interaction
Jaroň, Lukáš ; Mlích, Jozef (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
In this Bachelor thesis are described suggestions of ways you can control the computer without a mouse and keyboard, just motion of hand, and user interfaces. Then there is the theory describes tools used to develop experimental applications that simulate the proposed interface. And the entire development cycle from problem analysis, specification and implementation, to testing of final application. The result of this work is the interface, that can recognize eight different hand movements and use them as input to the system.
Handwriting Recognition
Zouhar, David ; Řezníček, Ivo (referee) ; Mlích, Jozef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the handwritten character recognition in real time. It describes the ways how to obtain information for the text recognition, methods used in classification and it describes application made for getting text from drawn characters. It is also engaged in evaluation the created application. It deals with the experiments that were conducted to improve success of recognition. Thanks to the experiments, the success that was achieved was approximately 85%.
Detection of Person in Image
Bednář, Luboš ; Mlích, Jozef (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This work deals with detection of person in image. At the beginning, there are described some methods to be used for this type of detection. Of these we chose a method histograms of oriented gradients. For classification we use SVM. Part of this work is the design and implementation of a simple detector.
