Nosková, Tereza ; Šteffl, Michal (advisor) ; Kinkorová, Ivana (referee)
Title: Reduction of body weight before the competitions in fitness - a review study Objectives: The main aim of the bachelor thesis was to analyze the specifics and principles of nutrition in bodybuilding, to characterize the most commonly used diets, and to identify the most appropriate diet during the pre-competitive period. Methods: In this review study, the electronic databases SportDiscuss, ScienceDirect and Ebsco were used to obtain relevant information. In addition, the work contains an appendix illustrating the author's own experience of work in preparing for competitions in bodybuilding in the Bikini fitness category. Results: The bachelor thesis contains a brief overview of some dietary guidelines and recommendations, which are commonly practiced before a bodybuilding competition. It gives the choice and comparison of both diets that are currently used and those used in the past. Conclusions: The analysis of the dietary recommendations shows that, at present, there is no single universal recommendation. However, the choice of diet should be individualized based on the current needs of athletes. Key words: Reduction, body fat, body weight, training, athlete, bodybuilding, nutrition, diet

Mareček, Ondřej ; Česák, Petr (advisor) ; Kinkorová, Ivana (referee)
Title: Body composition in patients with idiopatic inflammatory myopathies Objectives: The aim of this study was to compare selected parameters of body composition in patients with idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM) with age- and sex-matched healthy controls (HC). Another objective was to evaluate the effect of selected clinical parameters in patients with IIM on the detectedvariability of the parameters of body composition and on physical activity of patients. Methods: The research sample consisted of 84 individuals (54 IIM, 30 HC). In anthropometry, we measured: body height (cm), weight (kg) and BMI (kg/m2 ). Using bioelectrical impedance analysis BIA 2000-M we obtained values: total body water (TBW in%), muscle mass (LBM in kg), body fat (BF in%) cell mass of lean body mass (BCM of FFM in%), and the proportion of extracellular/intracellular matrix (ECM/BCM). Using Lunar series iDXA we obtained values: muscle mass (LBM in kg), body fat (BF in %), bone mineral density (BMD in g/cm3 ), and visceral fat (Visceral in kg). To these measured values we added a questionnaire on physical activity Human Acitvity Profile (HAP). Statistics: T-test, Mann Whitney U test, Cohen's d, and Partialeta-squared. Results: Selected values (mean ± SD): body height: IIM 164.7 ± 9.1 cm, HC 170.3 ± 7 cm; body weight:...

Gärtner, Tomáš ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Kinkorová, Ivana (referee)
Title: Body analysis of street hockey players in categories U15-U18 Objectives: The main object of this thesis is to determine body analysis of street hockey players playing Extra League in categories younger and older juniors using bioelectrical impedance analysis. Measured data should be compared amonit groups of players aged 15 a 16, 16 and 17, 17 and 18. Methods: In the thesis are used sometometric methods to gather antropometrical parameters and also the bioelectrical impedance analysis of the body structure using the device Tanita BC 418 MA to determine body structures of individual players. Results: We measured and compared selected parameters of body structures of street hockey players (n = 101) in age groups of 15, 16, 17 and 18 years. The differences in the amount of body fat, body fat percentage, free fat mass and bodily fluids amonit individual groups of street hockey players were monitored. Body fat percentage and free fat mass do not depends on age. Amount of body fat and free fat mass depends on age. Ice hockey players are taller and have more fat free mass. In comparison with the antropological research of the players in the same age from the year 2001 we discovered, that present-day players are, on average, 3,68 cm shorter, but they are, on average, 1,5 kg heavier, which is caused...

Škoda, Michael ; Šteffl, Michal (advisor) ; Kinkorová, Ivana (referee)
Title: Analysis of physical indicators among dancers of acrobatic rock and roll in category Background: It could be expected that several years of training process could influence the vast majority of physiological functions in rock and roll dancers who have undergone for many years of hard training. Aims: The measuring of selected indicators of physiological functions in the group of acrobatic rock and roll dancers and the comparing their level of physical capacity with reference values and with level of physical capacity of the best acrobatic rock and roll dancers of the world were the main purposes of this study.. Methods and design: The study was designed as a qualitative research. 6 pairs (12 subjects) of acrobatic rock and roll dancer category A were included in a study group by using a non-randomized selection. The UNIFITTEST (Jump far from the place, sit-up, chin-up, measuring subcutaneous fat), and other measure (handshake, vertical jump, heart rate) were done. Further quantitative data were collected by using questionnaires. Several statistical methods were used to process the data obtained. All results were compared with reference values. Results: According to our expectation the dancers of acrobatic rock and roll were better than average population in the most tests. Key words: acrobatic...

Title: Body profile of students of the Military branch at Faculty of Physical Education - Charles University (UK FTVS) in Prague Objective: Characterizing the body profile (body composition and somatotype) of the Military branch students at Faculty of Physical Education - Charles University (UK FTVS) in Prague. Method: The work has the character of an empirical research, having observation as its main method. The observed group was consisted of the Military branch students (22) attending the full-time form of study at UK FTVS in Prague. To characterize the group they were used methods of descriptive statistics - position rate (arithmetic mean) and rate of variability (standard deviation). The somatotype was determined according to Heath and Carters (1967) program Somatotype 1.2.5. Body composition was evaluated using the devices Tanita MC - 980 software, using prediction equations for a sporting population (Athletic mode). Results: The average somatotype of the military branch students at UK FTVS in Prague was ectomorfic - mesomorph, characterized by the group of three digits 1,7 - 7,3 - 2,5. In terms of the measured somatotype, the Military branch students have very good preconditions for general physical fitness. Average BMI was 23,76 ± 1,45 kg/m2 . In terms of body composition, the average body...

Spilková, Kateřina ; Kinkorová, Ivana (referee) ; Bunc, Václav (advisor)
4 ABSTRACT AND KEY WORDS Employed middlescence women have often problems with weight. In this thesis I will monitor the influence of weight reduction and exercise activities on the low back pain. I will carry out the monitoring by means of certain monitoring and measuring methods. THE AIM OF THE WORK: The aim of the work is to find out whether the reduction of weight itself is sufficient for lessening the low back pain without correction exercise. The proposal of exercise intervention program and dietary measures will be important for the influence of weight reduction. THE SOLUTION METHOD: The research will be carried out using app. 15 women in the age of 40 - 55 years. I have chosen the Quetelet index (body mass index) and anthropometric measuring as the indicators for somatic measurements. Further I have chosen the subjective evaluation of the client in the form of a questionnaire for motoric measurements. As for the objective method, I have chosen the Thomayer distance (even though this check is not fully specific) and Schober distance. Key words: LBP, obesity, overweight, anthropometric parameters, middlescence of women, BMI ,
