Analysis of political communication

Political communication plays a crucial role in politics. It justifies, it critizices, it promises and it explains. All those activities have one in common - they try to persuade. Politicians want to persuade us that their claims are truthful and morally right. At that, they can choose from a wide variety of means - from argumentation to manipulation. On the receiving end of the communication, there is a voter who can also choose from a wide variety of ways in which it is possible to accept those claims. Lest the democracy should fail, it is advisable to pay attention to those options.

Marketing of post production studio

This graduation theses deals with the analytic description of basic marketing rules in the world and branch of the post production of audiovisual content. It defines post production as usually subsequent adaptation of primary production material. And the post production studio first and foremost like a business company which runs this activity as a professional work.

Goodness-of-fit test for the AFT model based on martingale residuals

The Accelerated Failure Time model presents a way how to easily describe survival data with regression on covariates. It is assumed that each observed unit ages internally faster or slower, depending on the covariate values. To use the model properly, we want to check if observed data fit the model assumptions. In the present work we introduce a goodness-of-fit statistics based on modern martingale theory. On simulated data we try to estimate empirical properties of the test for various situations.
