Local electrical conductivity measurements in AFM tapping mode
Dao, Radek ; Konečný, Martin (referee) ; Pavera, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is concerned about the development of a probe for local electrical conductivity measurements in tapping mode Atomic Force Microscopy. The teoretical part gives a short overview of Scanning Probe Microscopy techniques, with the focus being on Conductivity Atomic Force Microscopy. Furthermore, the measuring regime in which the probe operates is described here, as well as the basic component of the probe, the quartz tuning fork. The experimental part follows the iterative development process, and contains a chapter dedicated to making of very sharp tips. The final chapters describe the preparation of test samples, which were used to prove the functionality of the probe and the measurement of local electrical conductivity itself.
The role of police in pre-trial proceedings
Konečný, Martin ; Gřivna, Tomáš (advisor) ; Herczeg, Jiří (referee)
The aims of the thesis is to present an analysis of a group of entities legally referred to as "the Police authorities" at preparatory criminal proceedings and to define the material and local competency of such authorities, also in the context of the contemplated or, as the case may be, already implemented regulation thereof. The purpose of the thesis is to describe specialised departments or sections participating in criminal proceedings in the role of the Police authorities. These efforts are, however, in some cases obstructed by the fact that the needed information is subject to confidentiality according to special law, so it is no available at all or it is only possible to rely on general publicly accessible sources. The thesis also contains a passage focused on the fundamental national legislation in terms of tasks of the Police authorities at criminal proceedings, including a chapter analysing basic procedures applied in terms of international law. The last part of the thesis concentrates on crucial moments of preparatory proceedings, how it is instituted, closed, and on the so-called pre-trial stage. The procedural tasks of the Police authorities at these stages were practically demonstrated on specific samples followed by the Police of the Czech Republic, on the application of which the...
Interdisciplinary relations of physics and chemistry in science education
Konečný, Martin ; Valenta, Jan (advisor) ; Rusek, Martin (referee)
Title: Interdisciplinary relations of physics and chemistry in science education Abstract: This master's degree thesis deals with the topic of interdisciplinary relations of chemistry and physics in science education. According to the review, to conveniently integrate physics and chemistry the appropriate topics and approaches were selected. The thesis includes teaching materials and worksheets to the three topics (Evolution of the Universe and the Origin of Elements, Luminescence and Composition and Properties of Matter) that are suitable for integration of physics and chemistry. The teaching material "Evolution of the Universe and the Origin of the Elements" includes a study text for teachers and a shorter study text for pupils. The teaching material "Luminescence" is based on an independent research done by pupils with their own crafted UV-lamp, completed with the facts included in a powerpoint presentation. The teaching material "Composition and Properties of Matter" consists of three parts (The paraffin, The Candle and The Properties of Selected Organic Substances) and is designed for an independent research done by pupils. Listed study materials were checked by teachers during meetings and seminars. The thesis also includes an evaluation of listed study materials by an expert group of high school...
Chemistry - Physics relatives in the Science education
Konečný, Martin ; Čtrnáctová, Hana (advisor) ; Teplá, Milada (referee)
Title: Chemistry - Physics Relatives in the Science Education Department: Department of Teaching and Didactics of Chemistry Abstract (in English): Within the master's degree thesis was conducted a literary research. Overview of interdisciplinary relatives in science education was done based on this research. The interdisciplinary relatives are described in the work as well as a historical development of integrated science education in the Czech Republic and in Europe. Three teaching tasks were created for use in science lessons with the following topics: The universe evolution and formation of elements, Luminescence, and The substance composition. Teaching tasks can be used during the class work or as a material for talented students and have both theoretical and practical parts. The teaching tasks were evaluated by teachers who used them during their chemistry lessons. The final part of the master thesis is a survey, in which teachers answered the questions concerning the establishing of new conference called "Chemistry Teachers' Inventions Fair" for secondary school and high school teachers. Keywords: interdisciplinary relatives, physics, chemistry, science eduaction, integrated teaching
Morfology and surface chemical composition of porous silicon prepared at various conditions
Konečný, Martin ; Dian, Juraj (advisor) ; Herynková, Kateřina (referee)
Title: Morfology and surface chemical composition of porous silicon prepared at various conditions Author: Bc. Martin KONEČNÝ Author's e-mail: konecmar@seznam.cz Department: Department of Chemical Physics and Optics Supervisor: Doc. RNDr. Juraj Dian, CSc. Supervisor's e-mail: Juraj.Dian@mff.cuni.cz Abstract: Porous silicon is a silicon-based material prepared mainly by anodic etching of crystalline silicon in hydrofluoric acid. Physical and chemical properties of porous silicon are governed by structures with sizes of the order of ones to tens of nanometers. Properties of nanostructure material are affected - as compared to macroscopic counterparts - by quantum confinement effect and enormous internal surface. According to type of silicon substrate (type of dopant, conductivity, crystallographic orientation) and technological conditions a material with different mean size of pores (macro-, meso- and nanoporous silicon) and surface chemical composition (different ratio of Si-O and Si-H bond) can be prepared. Morphology and surface chemical composition predestinated application potential of porous silicon for sensors of chemical species by taking advantage of strong sensitivity of physical properties of silicon nanocrystals - especially of photoluminescence - on the chemical state of a surface. Detection of...
