Marketing plan for selected gastronomic tours

The topic of this thesis is marketing of gastronomic travel agency. Gastronomic tourism is currently among the tourism trends. Based on the growing potential, in this paper will be presented fictitious gastronomic travel agency selling gastronomic tours. The main objective is to propose a marketing campaign of specific gastronomic tours. The marketing campaign will be set up to address, engage and make customers to purchase offered services. The campaign is therefore able to offer to potential customers exactly what they desire. The marketing approach is not the same to everyone, it reflects the consumer and media behavior of different target groups. Thanks to the proposed campaign the competitiveness of the company will be increased, profit will be gained, it means voluminous sales of offered tours and strong position in the market will be obtained.
Products with Protected Designations of the European Union and Their Position in Regional Tourism

The master thesis deals with products with protected designations of the European Union. The main objective of the master thesis is to evaluate the importance of the chosen product with protected designation of the EU in regional tourism and analyse the perception of the product by a producer and by tourists. The sub-objective is the description of the European system of food labelling. The thesis is divided into five main chapters. The first part explains basic concepts which are related to the thesis. The second chapter introduces the best known food quality labels. Greater attention is devoted to the description of the food protection system of the EU. The third chapter deals with the characteristics of the chosen region Beskydy-Wallachia. The second part of this chapter is focused on the chosen protected product Štramberské uši. The forth chapter includes a structured interview with the chosen producer of Štramberské uši and a survey research, which was conducted in two phases. The last chapter contains the evaluation of the implemented survey. The main finding of this thesis is the fact that a relatively high percentage of respondents know the product Štramberské uši. An interesting finding is the fact that only a small portion of them know that the product Štramberské uši is the holder of the protected designation of the European Union. The chosen producer of Štramberské uši sees the main benefit of the label in greater publicity. Among problems he ranks the enforceability of the label and lack of general promotion of Štramberské uši.
Analysis of drawing contributions from the Regional Operational Programme in the Košice Region 2007 - 2013

Regional policy is becoming one of the strategic priorities of the European Union after its extension. The main tools of the policy are subsidies for less advanced regions in EU. This work aims to evaluate the Regional operational programme in the Košice region during the programming period 2007 to 2013. In the theoretical part author describes the process of forming the European Union, the overall characteristics specified by EU funds and gives basic information on Slovak Republic and Košice Region. The analytical section is dedicated to the characteristics of the Regional operational program. This work compares the individual priority axes of the operational program and the successful utilization of the allocation. For an objective assessment Košice region is compared with other regions of the Slovak Republic at the level of priority axis. Based on the analysis the author reviewed the regional operational programme in the Košice region as successful with space for improvement in the fulfilment of allocations
Film induced tourism

The master thesis deals with new phenomenon in tourism film induced tourism. The main objective of the master thesis is to characterize film induced tourism which could be used as a tool to increase the attendance of the destination where the film was shot. Next main objective of the thesis is evaluation of film induced tourism in Europe, more precisely in Great Britain and Northern Ireland where the film induced tourism is at relatively advanced level. The master thesis is divided into the eight main chapters. The first part briefly defines term tourism, its importance and tips related to the place of realization. In the second chapter there is described management of destination, following with marketing direction in the fourth chapter. In the fifth part, there is definition of film-induced tourism, related history, supply, the opportunities of marketing promotion and typology of the film induced tourist. Next parts of thesis show significance and efficiency of film induced tourism, film induced tourism in Czech Republic and in the Europe where the main attention was focused on Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The last chapter refers to own research where the potential of film induced tourism was investigated by using quantitative and qualitative methods from respondents which were based in Czech Republic.
Turkey as a destination of international tourism

The subject matter of my research is Turkey as a destination of international tourism. The main aim of my diploma thesis is to assess the overall standing of Turkey as a destination on the international tourism market with respect to both positive and negative externalities. The first chapter is dedicated to a theoretical definition of international tourism including the conditions of its development. The second chapter presents basic information on Turkey, current economic situation and effects of tourism on Turkish economy. In the last chapter, an international comparison is made to analyse Turkish tourism itself.
Food tourism as a motivation for traveling

The aim of this thesis is to characterize the product of food tours and analyze specific portfolio of these tours of the company Frying Pan Adventures based in Dubai City. The partial objective of this thesis is to describe gastronomic tourism as one of the dynamically developing motives for tourism. The theoretical part explains basic terms related to tourism, motivations and motives for travelling and gastronomy, and points out the relationships between them. The practical part describes the selected destination, United Arab Emirates, and particularly Dubai, both from a geographic, economic and historical point of view, as well as from the position of tourism as a discipline. First, the food tours of one specific provider are analyzed and categorized based on defined characteristics into functional groups. Second, the offer of the chosen food tour provider is evaluated from several perspectives. A customer perspective focuses on analyzing the feedback on the product and evaluating the website of the service provider. Additionally, the evaluation is also based on a personal experience with the product, thus incorporating a subjective point of view into the evaluation. Third, a conclusion is drawn by using SWOT analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats for the company. This part also outlines a possible future development and recommendations.
Russia: macroeconomics and position at the international tourism market

The diploma thesis is written on the topic of Russia: macroeconomics and position at the international tourism market. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts of tourism, describes the basic macroeconomics indicators and define the position of tourism in the global economy. The second part deals with the development of the economy of the Russian Federation from its very begining up to the present. The third part discusses the Russian Federation in the terms of tourism, international income and arrivals. The last part analyzes tourism between the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation. For this part of diploma thesis has been prepared two questionnaires among residents of the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation.

Diploma thesis explains history of the origin of the most important European funds, their transformation in the purpose of achieving complex support for decrease of the regional disparities and current functioning of those funds. Cohesion policy utilizes tourism for the development of the regions. Thesis is focused on the role of tourism in Czech Republic and Slovakian Republic, primarily on the options and system of the gaining financial subvention from the collective European budget. Development of tourism is also important for the advancement of the cross-border territories, which share common history, traditions and specifics of given areas. Last part of the thesis is therefore oriented on the cross-border cooperation between Czech Republic and Slovakia since the entering the European Union and on the possibilities of gaining financial funds in these transboundary locations.
Trends and Tourism Policy in Spain

The diploma thesis is focused on trends in tourism and tourism policy in Spain. There are defined basic terms, described brief history of tourism in the world and in Spain. The thesis describes the relationship between tourism and economy of the country and defines the position of Spain in the field of international tourism. There are also presented tourism bodies and political plans of Spain. Case studies which form last part of the thesis are devoted to three autonomous communities where the researches are focused on local attractions, current regional statistics and political plans of each community.
Congress Tourism in the Czech Republic and Germany

This bachelor thesis deals with the Congress Tourism in the Czech Republic and Germany. The aim of this thesis is to describe the Congress Tourism in generally and after that to analyse it in the Czech Republic and Germany. The thesis is divided into four parts, the very first one being strictly theoretical. In this first part are explained terms such as Congress Tourism or so called segment MICE which it contains congress tourism as well. Besides, there are descriptions of all typical congress facilities and also common types of congress events. The another part is about a position of the Congress Tourism in the world. In this part, there are presented statistics of the ICCA for one thing and for an other thing there are mentioned international organizations operating in the area of the Congress Tourism. The third and the fourth part have identical same composition for these two parts contain analyses of the Congress Tourism in particular countries. The third part contains analysis of the Congress Tourism in the Czech Republic whereas the fourth part deals with analysis of the Congress Tourism in Germany. There are presented available statistics of the Congress Tourism, separately for each country. Furthermore, both parts include analyses of the most important city in the field of the Congress Tourism. Also, there are analyses of Prague and Berlin. In the end of both parts, there are made SWOT analyses of the Congress Tourism.
