The thesis named The technique of the organ playing is focused on the main elements of the organ interpretation - the technique, the generation of the tone sound and on the application of these elements. Next points: 1. hindsight, to 19th century - the era of the grounding of the Prague organ school, 2.the opinions of the organ sound, registration and organ building. The organ sound, the registration and organ building have (after opinion of the author) big influence on the interpretation and taste. Author finds the arguments for his ideas in specialized publications and instructive materials, mainly of 19th and 20th centuries. He develops his view about generation of the sound on different types of instruments , the cultivation of the sound and articulation influences markedly the sound of the organ. There is the way to the lively and pregnant interpretation.

Organ Transcriptions

In his Bachelor´s thesis the author is focusing on Bach?s transcriptions of
the Violin Concerts by Vivaldi? The Organ Transcriptions ? which the composer
J.S. Bach made in Weimar. Firstly, the reader will be familiarized with the
historical facts which are associated with the origin of the transcriptions. In the
main part of thesis the Vivaldi?s originals and the Bach?s arrangements are
compared. It is demonstrated on examples. At the end of the thesis there are
comments on interpretation and the Vivaldi?s influence on the following
compositions of Bach.

This work, primarily focused on organ compositions of Jan Hanus, presents his uncommon personal life as well as hismain activities as an editor and composer. A significant part is put to his sacred and liturgical work, where the organ plays mostly acompaniment role. (Masses, Cantatas, Oratoria, songs etc.). Focusing on wide and form of organ usage there, it illustrates well composers style growth. Continously dealing with his solo organ pieces (Suita lirica, Contemplazione, Sonata Ommagio a Michelangelo, Preludias) this work finally ends analysing his most famous and representative Sinfonie concertante.

Organ in Symphonic Works of Miloslav Kabeláč

The main topics of the thesis are two symphonic works of Miloslav Kabeláč connected with organ: 3rd Symphony for Brass, Timpani and Organ and 8th Symphony 'Antiphons' for Soprano, Two Mixed Choirs, Percussions and Organ. The first chapter describes very important person of Czech modern music Miloslav Kabeláč (1908 - 1979), his life, work and importance. Following two ones describe both compositions. Great regard is put on analysis as a way to understand author?s intention. At the end I compare both symphonies.

Juan Baptista Cabanillés and his wourks for organ

This thesis is a study of spanish organ music and especially of the life and work of Juan Baptista Cabanilllés. His music is presented here in comparison with other contemporary spanish autors and with regards to the specific features included in his compositions. In this context it is necessary to mention music forms of 16th and 17th century, which are characteristic not only for organ music but also for the other instruments. The most important form represented tiento, which for his diversity and variety of forms provides means for the complex creative expression. One of the chapters concentrates on the history and differnet kinds of tiento. Theoretical explantion is accompained by practical examples, As far as the spanish organ music is concerned it is usefull to point out to the original construction of the organ and its specifices which results in rich characteristic sound.
