Local producers support on Czech retail market

The thesis was suggested and assigned by Tesco Stores CR. The idea behind is to find out whether supporting local producers can bring a competitive advantage to an involved retailer on the Czech retail market. It is focused primarily on fresh food categories which seem to be the most suitable for local sourcing prefernce. The thesis also considers the relationship between quality-origin-customer expectation. The practical part includes two researches-one studies marketing tools used by retailers present on Czech market in order to promote local producers. The other one provides Czech food producers' opinion on retailers controlling Czech retail market.

The Deirdre Legend in Irish Fiction/Legenda o Deirdre v irské literatuře

This thesis focuses on the research of available annals and manuscripts that contain the ?Deirdre Legend?, both in the early medieval or late medieval version. The work deals with the comparison of the legend to the three different works of Irish literature: a poem by Samuel Ferguson, a drama by John Millington Synge and a novel by James Stephens. The research is focused on analysis of subject, genre and factual changes which distinguish these three works from the original version of the legend.

Retail marketing of consumer electronics

The theoretical part deals with the marketing mix and brand. More space is devoted to current trends in the world of consumer electronics and to the Czech market. Characteristics include technological development, the current state of retailing and major electronics manufacturers and retailers in the country. The research focuses on purchasing decisions in the category of consumer electronics. The work concludes with an overview of marketing tools suitable for this type of goods.
