The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part explains main terms such as low threshold facilities for children and youth, standards of quality of social services for low threshold facilities for children and youth and vocation and goals of these facilities. Other issues are concerning about history of streetwork and origin of youth drop-in centres in the Czech republic, about clients and workers and about troubles that can arise from their contact. The last two chapters of the theoretical part are about methodology of streetwork and about services and function which youth drop-in centres should fulfil. The practical part includes comparison of two points of view on the meaning of lyouth drop-in centres: Founder's point of view, acquired from structured interview and clients's point of view acquired from a questionnaire survey.
