Comparison of Self-Service Business Intelligence tools

The objective of my diploma thesis is an analysis and comparison of commercial Self-Service Business Intelligence tools. Publication compares Microsoft Power BI and Tableau software tools. In the first theoretical chapter, which includes overview of publications related to main topic, I explain the Business Intelligence and its architecture in currently used approaches: standard, In-memory and Self-Service. The chapter also explains the pros and cons of changing the current IT environment to Self-Service BI model and the related roles. The analytical chapter covers definition of suitable parameters, which are used for compari-son of chosen tools by multicriterial analysis of different approaches. Parameters and met-rics are grouped by several layers following the BI architecture concept. These layers are data, transformation, presentation, publishing and comunity layer. To set the criteria weig-hts, the Fuller method is used and the results are achieved by weighted sum of acquired values. The main benefit of diploma thesis is a comparison of chosen Self-Service BI tools and their analysis by various criteria. Reader should get the complex picture of Business Intelli-gence topic and will be able to choose the right tool for his needs and be familiar with its pros and cons.
The Financial analysis of the company Transbeton, s.r.o.

The subject of this bachelor´s thesis is the financial analysis of the company Transbeton, s. r. o. from 2011 to 2015 and it´s task is to assess financial health of this company and compare it with its competitors. The basic concepts and methodology of the financial analysis are briefly explained in the theoretical part of the bachelor´s thesis. In the practical part, Transbeton, s. r. o. is subjected to financial analysis, according to methodology from the theoretical part. At the end is the overall rating of the business.
Mobile Web Accessibility of the Public Administration Institutions

When we are creating web pages it is important to think about accessibility. It does not matter if it is for normal user or user whose is using assistive technology. Especially if we are talking about public sector web sites which provide important information and have idea of accessibility stated in the public notice. The aim of this thesis is to check if nowadays practices accept idea of one web and its accessibility. Check will be aim on the services and information provided by Ministry of the Interior of Czech Republic. Procedure stating the idea of accessibility is 7 years old but technology is still improving. Because of that it is really important to find out how current practices accept idea of one site and its accessibility. Finding will be aimed at services and information provided by Ministry of the Interior of Czech Republic and their institutions. Testing of accessibility proceeds in two areas. In first area are selected pages tested for fulfilling the criteria stated in the public notice. In second area they are tested for complying the criteria which takes into consideration improvement of technology. Next is tested compliance with idea of one web site. All hypotheses are not met. Ministry of the Interior of Czech Republic and its institutions web sites comply only with hypotheses of one site but they do not comply with hypotheses of accessibility. Main finding is that Ministry of the Interior of Czech Republic and their institutions web sites does not comply with hypotheses of accessibility. It can lead to the worse usage of its web sites.
Portfolio of IT Services in Startup

Goal of this thesis is identification of IT services structure and content inside startups. It defines basic terms and functionalities of examined subject and reflects influence of business incubators on composition of IT services portfolio. Goal is achieved by two accesses to solution, which complement each other. Firstly, there is summary of information from literature and internet resources, which make basis for practical research. It had form of interview with 5 randomly chosen startup representatives. Some of them were during research in incubation process, some of them after it and some of them have never attended in such a process. The contribution of this thesis is that it shows common elements of IT services portfolio in different startups, based on data from praxis, which I could not find in any other literature. Thesis is structured in to couple of logically connected parts. First of them is called 'Startup'. There is defined this, in literature not very commonly used, term. It show lifecycle of startup, its legal form etc. Next chapter, "business incubators" shows institutions, which actively helps to found new startups. In this chapter, there are defined activities, which occurs inside the incubator and relation between incubator and startup. Third chapter is about IT services. There is specified what is their contents and what does their categorization look like. Based on first three chapters was formed methodology, which were used during research in each startup. In a last chapter, there is compered influence of incubator on IT services portfolio and announced results of research.
Modern Czech Translations of the Hebrew Bible

Present Thesis focuses on the modern Czech translations of the Hebrew Bible. As the first modern translation we consider Jan N. Hejčl's translation of the Old Testament from years 1914-1925. All translations of the entire canon of the Hebrew Bible are included in this paper as well as the complete translations of books belonging to this canon, which have been published in printed editions. The aim of this paper is to outline the characteristics of the modern Czech translations and to highlight some of their specifics, especially when compared with the preserved Masoretic text. Two case studies appended to theoretical part of the Thesis suggest a possible approach to the study of the Old Testament translations.
Iconography and Traditional Jewish Sources of Marc Chagall's Work: The Jerusalem Windows

The aim of this thesis is to analyse sources and symbolism of Marc Chagall's stained-glass windows in the synagogue of Hadaśa Medical Centre of The Hebrew University in Jerusalem. The first chapter deals with history of the stained-glass windows, their creation, exhibitions in Paris and New York where they were firstly introduced to public and factors of their installation in Jerusalem. The second chapter examines the subject matter of the windows: the twelve tribes of Israel, their status and characterization in books of the biblical canon. Last chapter aims to introduce the iconography of Jerusalem Windows. The subchapters identify displayed symbolism and cover it with Chagall's sources of rabbinic literature and folk art of Eastern Europe. The thesis contains visual attachment of pictures of the stained-glass windows and the scheme of their position in the synagogue. In the conclusion the thesis summarizes Chagall's main inspirational sources of the work.
Israeli National Identity in the songs of Naomi Shemer

This thesis aims at describing motives of Israeli national identity, as shown in lyrics of Israeli lyricist and composer No'omi Shemer (1930-2004) in her songs written until 1967. The first chapter presents history of Hebrew ideological songs from the end of 19th century to 1960's. The second chapter examines biographical events and political events of No'omi Shemer that are relevant for understanding of her writings. Next, methods and analyses of Shemer's lyrics by Michael Gadish, which to certain extent influenced this thesis, are explained. In this chapter, the relationship between No'omi Shemer's writings and Israeli national identity of her time is also shown. The last chapter focuses on the most prevalent motives of Shemer's lyrics, namely, the Biblical motives, the motive of a soldier and the motive of building. Each motive is presented in a subchapter, which demonstrates how Shemer dealt with them. The thesis contains visual attachments as evidence of the said motives being relevant to Israeli culture of Shemer's time. In the conclusion, the thesis seeks to examine reasons for the said motives being prominent in Israeli culture and national identity of the period.

The depiction of a male character in early Israeli cinema will be compared to the contemporary production. The phenomenon of male homosexuality and its film representation will be researched in the context of cultural, social and religious aspects of Israeli reality. Original interpretations of several key Israeli films of the last decade pertaining to homosexual issues in specifically Israeli context are included in the present paper.
The Role of Religious Law in the Legal system of the State of Israel The Agunah

The present M.A. thesis deals with the role of Jewish religious law in the legal system of the State of Israel. The aim of this work is to describe unique nature of Israeli legal system due to the incorporation of Jewish religious law. The thesis focuses at the marital and divorce law. This legal branch was the most influenced by Jewish religious. The case of agunot, litteraly chained women, was chosen as an example of the application of Jewish religious law in the legal system of a modern country. Agunah is a woman who is not permitted to remarry because she has not been given a divorce list nor she is widowed. The problem of agunot is rather ancient and Jewish scholars have tried to find a solution for many centuries. However, nowadays when society calls for an equality between genders and for standard human rights, this issue is even more pressing than ever before. Hardly is a woman accorded right to human dignity if her husband can keep her at his own mercy. At the absence of systemic legal tool, the whole community, including the Orthodox rabbis, should be willing to exert moral pressure such as banning lenient men from synagogue offices and honors to help women to be released from their marriage. More so because the motive behind withholding a geṭ is in most cases economic or other benefit....
Jiří Mordechai Langer's works

This thesis introduces Jiří Mordechai Langer, who was Czech Jewish author. Through the data of his biography describes his mental focus and some of the aspects of his works, which is inspired by it. The thesis is focused on his first book of poetry Piyutim ve-shire Yedidut, which is written in Hebrew and was published in Prague in 1929. The thesis contents translation of poetry into Czech language, description of language and form. The author describes also main topics of Langer's poetry and its place among other works by Jiří M. Langer and in tradition of Hebrew literature. Influence of Hebrew literature and Hasidism, which she finds out in the book, shows for better understanding on concrete passages.
