The education of Roma in Spain

The aim of my thesis is to introduce the Roma ethnic group living in Spain from the point of view of their life and education. Describe some projects focusing on improvement of their employment in Spain and in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part would be devoted to brief interpretation of the history of Roma people living in Spain and the characteristics of their culture and language and will describe the current system of education in the territory. The practical part of the thesis will be devoted to the characteristics of particular school located in Huelva, part of the autonomous region of Andalusia, and the projects for improvement in education and employment of Roma in Spain and in the Czech Republic. Self-inflicted trauma in young people

The self-inflicted trauma is a premeditated injury and harm caused to one self without the intention to kill one self. It exists in many forms out of which the cutting of one self, especially on the wrists and forearms, is the most common form. The self-inflicted trauma is at some level connected to suicidal behaviour, which describes the acting of someone with the intention of killing one self. There are various causes leading to the above described kinds of behaviour. The self-destructive behaviour is peaking during adolescence. Adolescence is a period during which a person becomes very sensitive to changes and faces many challenges which are difficult to cope with. Therefore, a stable environment in which a person is growing up is necessary for coping with the challenges. The self-destructive behaviour is more common among the defective families.

Involvement of close people to the treatment of drug users in terms of therapeutic communities

Use of mind-altering substances may result in an array of adverse - especially health and social - consequences not only for drug users but also for their close persons. Help to solve drug use-related problems is provided by various drug services. These however primarily focus on drug users and in the best case perceive their relatives as a significant source of support in order to achieve a change in dependent behaviour of drug consumers. The vast majority of drug services in past didn't take into account the fact that relatives might suffer due to drug use of their family member too, and thus that they might also need specific professional help. The aim of dissertation is 1) to answer the question of whether an involvement of relatives in the process of drug users treatment in therapeutic community might be of benefit not only for residents but also for their close persons, and 2) to introduce a comprehensive model of work with relatives in therapeutic community which has been verified within the inquiry. This has been carried out with the use of predominantly qualitative grounded theory approach. Questions of tolerance of the Czech youth towards foreigners

The thesis presented is directed towards the niatter of tolerance of Czech youth towards foreigners, possibly refugees. Its theoretical part is concerned with defining the term "migration" and its impact on the Czech society; it describes the temporary situation of foreigners in the Czech Republic on the labour market; it provides an outline of peculiarities of selected minorities and engages in various aspects of the sociál integration of foreigners; it purveys a brief introduction to the realm of human rights and of the position of a refugee in the Czech Republic. The practical part is elaborated on the basis of a questionnaire designated for three types of schools; it surveys the pupils' awareness of the foreign realm and marginally also the refugee realm and human rights. It focuses also on the pupils' attitueds towards foreigners. I would like to dedicate my thesis to the generál public and to those organizations interested in training elementray and secondary schools' pedagogues and caseworkers in the field of multicultural eduction. Its outcomes should serve as a material which shall cover the missing information dealing with the situation of foreigners in the Czech Republic.

Trends in drugs addiction prevention in Switzerland

Die drogen Problematik ist ständig in der Ganze Welt sehr aktuel. Da ich die Möglichkeit hatte einen etwas verschiedennen Zutrit in der Welt kennen zu lernnen, würde ich gern die Lösung in meiner Diplomarbeit beschreiben "Der Trends in der Lösung der Drogenabhengigkeit in Schweiz". Ich glaube, dass dieser Zutritt in der Tschechische Republik von Interesse sein konnte.Schweiz ist ien Land mit längeren Erfahrungen mit Drogenabhengigkeit und deshalb hattensie in Praxis neue Erfahrungen erwerben können. Deshalb könnten sie die meist wirksamen Metoden anvenden. Warum sollte man sich nicht inspirieren? Der Ziel dieser Arbeit ist vor allem die Erfahrung der Prevention in der Stadt Zürich anzuwenden.

An Out-patients? Programme for Drug Users

Hlavním záměrem této práce bylo definovat a popsat ambulantní program pro osoby v konfliktu se zákonem a zdůraznit význam zachování kontinuity této služby a možný přínos pro klienty i veřejnost. Při popisu a nastavení služeb programu jsme vycházeli ze zkušeností z praxe a snažili se srozumitelně obsáhnou kontext a realitu, do které vstupují potenciální klienty programu. Současně jsme se v práci snažili do určité míry shrnout základní pojetí drogových služeb ve vězení, jejich vývoj a zavádění v naší republice a více popsat na konkrétním programu sdružení Sananim. Definice služeb, jejich cíle a poslání se formovalo zejména v posledních 10 letech. Tento typ služeb pro uživatele drog ve specifickém prostředí vyžaduje zejména neustálou reflexi jejího nastavení a pojetí.

Buying and Selling People with the Aim of Sexual Abuse

The work focuses on trade with people for the purpose of sexual exploitation. It defines the basic terms of this problem and it determines the individual forms of the trade with people. The work also studies the legislation of this problem in the international and Czech criminal law. Other chapters deal with the outlines of the National strategy for preventing the trade with people and the Model for the support and protection of victims of trade with people in the Czech Republic. The description of a personal experience with streetworking in locations with a high prostitution occurence and an interview with a woman who was traded and sexually exploited.
