Implementation of lean management techniques and philosophy of kaizen in selected company

Bachelor thesis will deal with the technique of lean management and its implementation in practice. The theoretical part describes the individual methods of the Japanese way of thinking. Their goal will be to eliminate any downtimes, which appears in the company. These are mostly methods Kaizen, 5S and muda. The knowledge derived from them will be reflected in the practical part, which will give the basis for solving problems in the expedition section. The resulting layout of the workplace will bear elements of each of these methods and thus will facilitate smoother and more efficient process of expediting in the company.
The basic steps for implementing Lean Six Sigma in a selected organization

In this bachelor thesis, specifically in the theoretical part, I will describe what actually is Lean manufacturing, and which problems will be deal in the company. I will mention techniques 5S, kaizen, kanban, which falls under the methodology of Lean manufacturing. I can't forget Toyota, which is considered as the founder of these methods. But my main goal in this work will be to analyze and describe the Six Sigma management strategy, from which was developed more used method called Lean Six Sigma. The second part will deal with practical solutions and implementations of possible steps Lean Six Sigma in the selected company.
Business Intelligence in a midsize Firm

This diploma thesis deals with Business Intelligence. First, it describes the architecture and various components of BI solutions. The basic concepts related to this issue are explained. Mentioned are also possible fields of application and end-users. The next section compares the advantages and disadvantages of three possible options for BI solutions (OSS BI, ERP + BI applications, commercial BI). From a practical standpoint, it is focused on the implementation process and its various stages that are described in more detail. In the last part is introduced a real company and is prepared initial study, the first stage in the whole process of implementing Business Intelligence.

The objective of this thesis is a setup of marketing plan and strategy proposition for a start-up project based on an online employers evaluation. The theoretical background of the thesis are essential elements of marketing, online marketing and organizational behavior. The practical part contains an analysis of local and even global market competitors, product design and strategic marketing analysis. Conclusion of the thesis is the feasibility study of the project with an estimation of the break even.
Real earnings and efficiency resulting from new approaches to POS

On the Czech market is beginning to appear more and more software solutions of cash registers. A few years ago were Point of Sales (POS) systems rarely seen, especially in an restaurants. Nowadays, there is a proliferation of POS systems across the market. Not only in restaurants but also in convenience stores and stores providing services. Which POS system choose? In this work, I deal with the question: Whether we should purchase POS from a stable developers or give preference to young developers of POS solution. Respectively, what solution can increase efficiency and possibility of profit. The aim is to determine whether long-term development of older POS solutions is still effective and competitive with new solutions. The secondary objective may also be a recommendation of what product might be a good candidate for the position of cash register software in your business.
Eliminating Repair Costs in Meopta-optika, Ltd

Costs for repairing non-conforming parts may cause any company that is struggling with this problem, considerable damage. It is therefore essential that the problem was not relegated to the sidelines. The aim of this study was to find the cause of the large amount of non-conforming pieces and create a calculation of financial costs associated with the production of non-conforming parts and highlight the advantages of the individual methods of control depending on the size of the production of the four most problematic part. The first section summarizes the findings regarding the operational management-Industrial Engineering and Quality. A special chapter is devoted to the control systems in three foreign companies. The practical part deals with the resulting problem of non-conforming parts in Meopta-Optika, Ltd. and analyzes the situation through interviews, observation and application of mathematical and statistical methods to internal data. The outcome of the work will be recommendations that I could eliminate the problem.
Business Process Management - Process Modeling

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of Business Process Management, its development and fundamental paradigms in the field of BPM as BPR. The thesis also compares approaches to BPM. Furthermore, it defines the term "process" and describes its classification. The thesis also explains the concept of the process-driven organization, including its characteristics. An integral part of the thesis is the explanation of the holistic approach to BPM and its technical aspect, i.e. the business process modeling which deals with creating the diagrams classified by basic principles of object orientation. The thesis introduces general modeling language UML and its specification in the form of notation BPMN and Eriksson-Penker. Also there are shown few examples of diagrams used in the BPM. All of these findings are then used in the constructing of process models and diagrams in the defined research area of the particular organization.
Introduction of selected Performance Measures in a selected Company

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to perform a literature search focused on the issue of Balanced Scorecard and subsequent application of theoretical knowledge to the chosen company. At the beginning of my work the origin and nature of this method are described in brief. Furthermore, my work thoroughly describes the different perspectives of the Balanced Scorecard, and there is also a mention of the issue of strategic maps and key performance indicators in the context of the Balanced Scorecard method. Conclusion of the bachelor thesis is strategic map TOPTHERM Company Ltd., which served as the basis for the design of the Balanced Scorecard at the company.
The possibilities of implementation of selected elements of the Japanese business philosophy to the particular company

This bachelor thesis is focused on an introduction of the theory of lean management as a tool, which is able to reduce waste at the particular workplace in Aspera Technology company. The first part of this thesis pays attention to presentation of lean management, familiarization with its history and description of appropriate methods. The main part consists of implementation of the method called 5S which was evaluated as the most appropriate method of lean management regarding waste reduction in the given company. The 5S method was established to the particular workplace at the beginning of the varnishing process. The description of the workplace before implementation of the 5S method is provided and relevant changes are highlighted in the thesis. In conclusion, achieved improvements are mentioned while the most important one is the waste reduction.
The role of coaching in social services

This bachelor´s thesis deals with coaching as an instrument of social work. The theoretical part explains to us all the terms necessary to become familiar with this issue. Specifically, it specify the terms social work, social services, helping professions, supervision, social worker, the code of ethics of social worker, burnout syndrome amongst social workers, competence of managers in social services and professional development of employees in the social sphere. It also specify the terms of coaching, basic rules of coaching, basic principles of coaching, executive as a coach, external and internal barriers of coaching, the benefits of coaching and coaching in social services. The practical part contains a survey targeted at mapping of what the real situation in the field of coaching in specific social organizations from selected areas is, and what given coaching organization method they utilize, what is their experience and what are the perceived benefits of coaching from their perspective.
