The topic of my thesis is the student center at Poříčí - on the corner Táborského nábřeží and street Vídeňská. It proposes seven-storey building containing student housing, student`s canteen, sports facilities and a calm inner courtyard. The building is addressed clearly and simply. It closes to the busy Street Vídeňská and it opens towards the River.

Society over the Sázava

The subject of the diploma thesis is based on the specific intention of the town of Žďár nad Sázavou for the reconstruction of the original nursery school at Okružní street to the community center. The diploma thesis follows the analytical part of the previous semester, which examined the possibilities, risks and potential of the city. The main starting point is the work with the existing building - reconstruction and extension of the original kindergarten building. Compared to the conventional new "green meadow" construction, this assignment emphasizes the use of existing values, the concentration and strengthening of the existing city as opposed to the contemporary colonization of the free landscape. The design of a building modification of an existing building must also be based on the perception of the continuity of the development, in particular the constructional nature of the building, so that the newly designed "layer" of development does not become a denial of the previous layers.

Residential Complex in Brno - Komín

This project deals with design of a residential complex in city district Brno-Komín. Given area is sloping and forms a connection between the urban area and the forest. The aim of this project was to propose a solution that offers enough private and public places and is sensitive to its surroundings. I designed a complex of single and double storey atrial houses accessible from the residential street. It is primarily intended for pedestrians, but it also enables entrance and parking of cars. The road and garages are located in the north part of the area along the old tree alley. I situated two villas embedded into the hill in the steepest part of the area. The houses form a natural transition between the urban area and the forest.

NEW ON THE „OLD“ – Brno, Bratislavská - Stará Corner

MULTIFUNCTIONAL BUILDING ON THE CORNER OF BRATISLAVSKA AND STARA STREET IN BRNO, ZABRDOVICE. THE LOCALITY, WHICH IS SITUATED NEAD BY THE CITY CENTER AND THE SMALL INNER CITY CIRCLE HAS GREAT GENIE LOCI. THE MAIN IDEA WAS TO COMPLETE THE BLOCK, CREATE CORNER AND SAVE THE LOCAL ATMOSPHERE. THE LOCALITY HAS ALSO LACK OF PUBLIC SPACES. CHARAKTERISTIC ELEMENT IS COURTYARD, WHICH IS USUALLY CLOSED AND PRIVAT. PROJECT CREATES AN COURTYARD, BUT PUBLIC ACCESSEBLE. NEW PUBLIC SPACE THEN WILL NOT BE OPENED TO THE HECTIC STREET FULL OF CAR, WHICH MAKES IT MORE DE LUXE. MOREOVER, THIS WAY CREATS MORE SPACES FOR PARTERRE.
