Formation and use of agentiv nouns in contemporary czech and polish language
Plasová, Anna ; Rusin Dybalska, Renata (advisor) ; Benešová, Michala (referee)
This thesis focusses on the issue of feminine gender agentive nouns formation and use in contemporary Polish, with respect to analogical phenomena in Czech. The theoretical part of the thesis sketches the form and the manner of derivation of the feminine counterparts of agentive nouns, subsequently analysing their socio- political implications (the opposition between masculine and feminine gender, various views concerning the asymmetry in their usage). In contemporary Polish, two antagonistic trends can be delineated, one tabooing and blocking the derived forms, the other, on the contrary, upholding and promoting them. In general, feminine forms are widely used for designations of jobs with lower social prestige; conversely, with respect to professions and honorifics viewed as prestigious, feminization is sparse, and, outside the feminist coterie, viewed as unnatural, inappropriate, even belittling. There are also quite a few nouns that undergo derivation only selectively. This state of affairs is evaluated as substantially different from that in Czech, a language in which feminization is common and normally unmarked. The practical part contains a research carried out on a corpus of texts from the Polish daily newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza from 2006; 18 problematic feminine gender agentive nouns were...

Next will introduce authors and their works. In the following part the bacheloral thesis will focus for example on the comparation of the literary motives, the characterizations of the real and supernatural characters, the concept of the death or the motive of character's transformation. The bacheloral thesis will focus on description of the atmosphere and time, in which the ballads take place. Afterwards the thesis will be concerned for example with the motive of guilt and punishment or the character of women-heroines. Key words Ballad, Kytice, Ballady i romanse, Karel Jaromír Erben, Adam Mickiewicz, supernatural characters, guilt and punishment, transformation of characters, death motive.
Psychosocial Issues of Prostitution
Benešová, Marie ; Arnoldová, Anna (advisor) ; Marešová, Ladislava (referee)
Presented master' s thesis "Psychosocial problems of the prostitution" inquires into specific aspects of this socialy pathological phenomenon. Whole study includes theoretical and practical part. Opening chapters of the theoretical part present the definition of prostitution and the summary of its specifics, moreover they concern the theory of causes of prostitution and its transformation during the history. Following chapters present different forms of prostitution, including the characteristic of some of them, and above all they talk about the psychological and social aspects of causes, which bring a woman to practise the prostitution, about the selfperception of women-prostitute and about her relationship with her partner or family. The work covers also some negative social factors of prostitution such as the spread of venereal deseases or the connection with the organised crime. In addition in includes the possibilities of the government to solve the problem of prostitution and it summarizes the evolution of juridical situation in Czech Republic during the 20th century. Because of actual conditions, which occurred during the work with this clientele, there was not chance of question-form exploration or psychological test. The practical part documents the possibilities of the resocialisation and aid to...
The Jewish mystique in Bruno Schulz's prose
Hlavní tematické okruhy tvoří jednak textualizace světa a metafora světa jako textu, včetně symbolu Knihy, jednak otázka (s)tvoření a obrazy, s jejichž pomocí Schulz buduje svůj literární svět. Součástí práce je rovněž stručný přehled dosavadního stavu bádání týkajícího se daného tématu, představení metodologických východisek a krátké shrnutí vztahu Bruna Schulze nejen ke kabale, ale k židovství obecně.
PNF technique after arthroscopic stabilization of the shoulder
Benešová, Martina ; Holubářová, Jiřina (advisor) ; Pavlů, Dagmar (referee)
Title: PNF technique after arthroscopic stabilization of the shoulder joint Objectives: The objective of this work is to consider the possibility of use of the proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation technique (PNF) in early stages of rehabilitation after arthroscopic stabilization of the shoulder joint. The idea is to use the phenomen of irradiation with which this concept works. Methods: The pilot experimental group consisted of 7 healthy participants with simulated arthroscopic stabilization of the left shoulder joint. The electromyography was used to record the electric activity of musculus trapezius pars descendens, pars transversa et pars ascendens, musculus deltoideus pars acromialis, musculus infraspinatus and musculus pectoralis major pars sternocostalis on the immobilized left arm; while using the PNF technique on the peripheral parts of the immobilised arm; and on the contra lateral arm. A 5s sequence of stabilised isometric contraction was analysed and all data further normalised to Maximal Voluntary Contraction (MVC). Considering the literature the 20% increase above the MVC was defined as substantial to assure sufficient functional capacity of the muscle fibres and therefore sufficient to stop muscle atrophy during immobilisation of the arm. Results: Results of this study support...
Bifunctional ligands for copper(II) complexation
Benešová, Martina ; Kotek, Jan (advisor) ; Kozempel, Ján (referee)
Title: Bifunctional ligands for copper(II) complexation Author: Bc. Martina Benešová Supervisor: doc. RNDr. Jan Kotek, Ph.D. Institution: Department of Inorganic Chemistry, Faculty of Science, CU in Prague Author's e-mail: EvaGlaser@seznam.cz ABSTRACT The main aim of this thesis was preparation of macrocyclic ligands based on 1,4,8,11- tetraazacyclotetradecane skeleton, which is suitable for selective complexation of divalent copper, and study of their properties. These ligands are suggested for potential utilization in nuclear medicine. Cyclam macrocycle was modified to bear one coordinating aminobenzylphospinate pendant arm (compound L1) or monophosphinate-bis(phosphonate) pendant arm (compound L2). During the synthesis, the skeleton was protected in positions 1, 4 and 8. In the frame of this work the synthesis of both targeted products was developed. Furthermore, a study of the thermodynamic, kinetic and coordination properties of ligand L2 was investigated by UV/VIS spectrophotometry and potentiometric titrations. A model bioconjugation of ligand L1 with primary amine was also studied. KEYWORDS Cyclam, phosphinates, phosphonates, nuclear medicine, copper(II) complexes, kinetic inertness, thermodynamic stability.
Different response of maize inbred and hybrid genotypes to drought: analysis of leaf proteome and photosynthetic processes
Benešová, Monika ; Holá, Dana (advisor) ; Prášil, Ilja (referee) ; Pospíšilová, Jana (referee)
Drought is one of the most important stress factors affecting plants. Increasing drought resistance via plant breeding is currently the main approach for improvement of plant productivity and reduction of water usage. Plant breeders and scientists search for reliable and easy methods of the determination of drought sensitivity in different genotypes. A precise knowledge about processes underlying plant stress response and defence against limited water availability is necessary for this. The aim of this study was a detailed analysis of photosynthetic processes and changes in leaf proteome (again aimed especially at proteins involved in photosynthesis) during drought stress. This analysis was a part of a complex project focused on the possible causes of genetic variability and drought resistance in agronomically important crops. Another goal was to analyse whether the measurement of selected photosynthetic parameters can be used for the determination of drought sensitivity per se and/or for the prediction of the response of hybrids based on known behaviour of their parents. Young plants of maize inbred lines and their hybrids were used as a model for this analysis, which was made under conditions of moderate and more severe drought. Two inbred lines which were (together with their F1 hybrids) used...
The "World Order" in Gustav Herling-Grudziński's short stories
Petránková, Michaela ; Poslední, Petr (advisor) ; Benešová, Michala (referee)
v anglickém jazyce Reading a story typically involves a question where did this story come into being, where it arose from. Reading Gustaw Herling-Grudziński's short stories involve the answer as well. His texts after a novel A world Apart imply well-founded world order, which suggests, that stories exists in variations yet for centuries in old chronicles, files on historical events, commentaries written by historian and in famous European paintings and other works of arts. The plausibility of such stories is supported by their incessant repeating. Never can they be forgotten inasmuch as they can emerge anytime in present events, most often in the place where the previous story took place. In Gustaw Heling-Grudziński's short stories even the seemingly real place is never the purely mimetic image of a real place. Described landscape combines a representation of real European places with the imaginary space of fiction. In Herling-Grudziński's short stories it means that places have their own inner memory reflected in genius loci. As the narrator perceives them not by vision alone, but also by smell, sound, and so on and they interface with other spaces in literature as well, may such a narrative present itself as a projection of the memory engaged to a particular place. It may fully comprise of...
Humorous prose in the area of Teschen Silesia written in Teschen Silesian dialect in the second half of the 20th century
Mohelníková, Táňa ; Benešová, Michala (advisor) ; Kolmanová, Simona (referee)
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to paint the most complex picture of the issue of humorous prose in Teschen Silesia written in dialect in the times of the second half of the 20th century. The first part briefly captures the whole literary development in the territory of Teschen Silesia till 1945. The following chapter deals with the emerging literature after 1945. The primary periodicals, most important authors of Teschen Silesia same as the elementary features and especially numerous literary groups are mentioned in this part of the thesis. The humorous prose is analysed in the final chapters of the work in terms of the most typical literal motifs. The terms motif and figure and their distinction in the text are discussed at first, as following the motifs and figures are further divided and closely characterised according to the primary literature.
