Nuptiality in some european countries at the end of the 20th century Abstract The aim of this study is to analyze the regional differences of nuptiality in Europe in the last part of the 20th century and at the beginning of the 21st century. Six states were chosen, each of them should represent specific marriage pattern and area of Europe. It focuses not only on the development of individual indicators of nuptiality, but also causes of changes in marriage behavior and factors that affect the marriage rate. The first part of the study describes the characteristics of family and marriage, including changes of looking at these two institutions over time. Next new theories explaining the attitudes of contemporary society to institution of marriage are presented. The recent changes of marriage patterns can be explained mainly by postponing marriage to higher ages and reducing the intensity of nuptiality.

Selected demographic characteristics of population in structurally affected districts of the Czech Republic late in the 20th and early in the 21th century Abstract The main objective of this work is and methods to analyze and evaluate the structure of the population of selected structurally affected districts through demographic indicators. Using comparative methods we will verify the justified classification of these districts among structurally affected regions. The first part consists of the theoretical framework of the thesis, containing definitions and legislative elements of regional development. The main part of the thesis discusses the analysis itself. Here we will attest that the selected structurally affected districts lag behind the national average in the Czech Republic in the selected population characteristics. The paper also describes current trends in the demographic behavior of the population of the Czech Republic. These trends are eventually compared with the demographic development in structurally affected districts in the past 20 years. Seniors mortality from external causes of death in the Czech Republic in 1994-2012 Abstract The main aim of the thesis is to analyze the external causes of mortality of seniors in the Czech Republic between 1994-2012. For research purposes, seniors are divided into two age categories (60-74 and over 75), observed in the Czech administrative regions. The study concentrates on three groups, derived from the chapter of External causes of International Statistical Classification of Disease and Related Health Problems: Traffic accidents, Falls and Intentional self-harm. Concerning the main analytical approach, the author has opted for the method of direct standardization. The results of the study confirm the decreasing mortality of all selected categories in Czech regions and the country itself, but proves that considerab differences between the genders remaine. Demographic aging with focus on oldest old

This study addresses demographic aging issues. Firstly, the demographic aging is outlined, the components are specified and the influence on age structure is clarified. The development of demographic aging is illustrated with the example of the Czech Republic. Later, there is discussed the new concept of age and the methods of evaluation of health situation. Changing nuptiality patterns in the Czech Republic: start of the 21st century contrasted with the eighties of the 20th century

The intention of this study is to compare nuptiality intensity and time distribution during the years 1980 - 1989 and 2000 - 2009. Major part of this study concerns with the nuptiality of unmarried people thus the main source of data for the analysis are nuptiality life tables of unmarried. This study contains also analysis of population structure according to age and marital status, opinion of the Czech population to the institution of marriage and rank of the Czech Republic in the international context. Results of the study shows that in the 80s of the 20th century indicatior of the nuptiality intensity and indicator of the nuptiality conjugation were stable. At that time people got married often and in lower age. The beginning of the 21st century was a dynamic period. During the whole first decade the intensity of nuptiality was decreasing while the age of the first marriage was increasing.

Foreign nationals in Czechia with focus on migrants from Ukraine Abstract The theme of this Bachelor thesis is foreign nationals in Czechia with a focus on migrants from Ukraine. In recent years, the topics of foreigners and migration have become increasingly relevant given the steady growth of the number of foreign nationals. The thesis analyzes the structure of foreign nationalities in Czechia after the year 2004 when the country joined the European Union, until 2017, when migrants from Ukraine were prevalent. The work first lists documents and permits required for a prolonged stay of foreign nationals and aspects of the Ukrainian migration to Czechia are described along with data sources of the evidence of demographic events in the lives of foreigners. The development of the numbers of foreign nationals is demonstrated in a sample of the five most frequently represented nationalities. Two statistical methods were primarily used to examine the localities where foreigners are concentrated by nationality and the numbers of foreigners and the percentage of individual minority groups in Czechia in the given period: cluster and spatial analysis.
