Boundaries In the Worker-Client Relationship in the Retirement Home

(in English): The diploma thesis deals with professional boundaries within worker-client working relationships in a retirement home. The research aims to find out how workers and clients understand the boundaries in relationships and how they attach importance to the boundaries. Moreover, the process of boundary formations and workers' reflections on their boundaries will be described. The research is designed as a case study of a small retirement home with a capacity of 20 clients. Qualitative research is based on primary and secondary data. The sources of primary data were qualitative interviews with workers and clients and participatory observation. Documents describing the rules of the retirement home, relationships, and boundaries within the worker-client relationships were the source of secondary data. There were 10 respondents involved in the research - 5 workers and 5 clients. A specific process of coding, which is typical for grounded theory, was used to analyze the qualitative data. The results showed that despite the fact, that workers keep professional boundaries, the relationships are very close in the retirement home. According to the clients, workers should keep a professional distance from them. Both workers and clients are satisfied with their relationships in the organization.
The impact of social disadvantaged family on children school education

The bachelor thesis entitled The influence of socially disadvantaged family background for education of children focuses on the possibilities and access of these children to education. One of the most important factors in this area is the family, where the child was born and its attitude to education. There are specified parental duties, which according the law, are connected to education and also the importance of pre-school education. The thesis also deals with other factors, which influence the issue, such as economical situation of family, lack of quality accommodation or cultural, language or ethnical differences. The casuistries in the empirical part describe the chosen problems.
Supported Employment as an Instrument of Social Inclusion

The aim of my bachelor thesis ,,Supported Employment as an Instrument of Social Inclusion" is analyzing the service for people who want to search and keep a paid job in the open labour market. The target group of the service needs a professional support to find a job because of their disability or their social situation. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with principles, establishment and representation of the service Supported Employment in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis also deals with issues of disability, mechanisms of integration into society, the right to work and be employed, issues of unemployment and tools of active labour market policy. The practical part is based on results by the author. The situation of people who use the service of Supported Employment and people who do not have experience with this service is compared.
Chosen organizations of Czech Caritas and their activities in the field of foreign humanitarian assistance and development cooperation

(in English): The diploma thesis deals with the activities of Czech Caritas organizations in the field of humanitarian assistance and development cooperation abroad. The aim of the work is to explore the possibilities and limits of transferring and sharing "good practice". The work consists of a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is structured in three main chapters, which deal with humanitarian aid and development cooperation topics, describe the selected Czech Caritas organizations and define "good practice". The practical part consists of a descriptive research of the selected Czech Caritas organizations activities in the field of humanitarian assistance and development cooperation abroad executed between 2000 and 2016 and qualitative research of employee's approaches to mutual sharing of "good practice". Research questions are answered by combining questionnaire survey and interviews which are conducted with the help of the manual. The main results of this thesis is a summary table containing descriptions of activities in the field of humanitarian assistance and development cooperation abroad and presentation of employee's attitudes to "good practice" and its sharing.
The motivation of applicants in nursing home

This MA thesis encompasses the motivation of the applicant to apply for a long-term stay at a retirement home. The theoretical part analyses the needs that seniors have, describes the system of care of the elderly and its problems, as well as the limits, motivation and psychosocial aspects of family care of the elderly, and the effect of a retirement home residence on the personality and quality of life of the elderly. The empirical part is formed as a quantitative research with the use of questionnaires. Respondents were selected out of the applicants for a long-term stay at a retirement home. The aim of the empirical part of the MA thesis is to answer the key question of the entire research: what life situation is responsible for the applicant's motivation for applying for a long-term stay at a retirement home. The empirical part describes the research objectives, research methods and research groups and poses the research questions. The received data are than analyzed, and the results are subjected to a critical scrutiny in a discussion. The results of this thesis serve as a basis for creating new projects to encourage seniors to remain at their home environment, and aimed at preventing the placement of the elderly in institutional facilities
The issue of social status of Czech women - Muslim women

This diploma thesis "Social status of Czech women-Muslim" is divided into practical and theoretical part. The theoretical part contains two sub-chapters and 11 sections, which all the essentials of the issue are contained in. The theoretical part includes the history of Islam with regard to the historical character of the Prophet Muhammad. Also it deals with the holy book for muslimy- Quran, sunnah and other important documents of Islam. It characterizes the five main pillars of Islam. Subsequently it deals with the special position of women in Islam. The theoretical part includes a description of conversion to Islam. The work represents the Islamic community in the Czech Republic and Czech anti-Islamic group. Thesis deals with Islamic fundamentalism as well. At the end of the theoretical part, the important sociological concepts such as social stratification, social role and social status are defined. The practical part presents the results of interviews. These interviews were semi-structured and Were Carried out 15 interviews with 15 responders. The aim of the the empirical part was to answer the research question, That is: "What is the social status of Czech women who converted to Islam and live in the Czech Republic?" At the end the thesis includes a discussion.
Gypsy children and youth in difficult life situation in Mladá Boleslav town

Theoretical part of essay is about history of gypsy nation, their social elemination, racism and discrimination, gypsy education in Czech republic, their adoption and about Gypsies in Mladá Boleslav. Target of empirical part of this essay was found out in which difficult life position gypsy children and youth are and if services of organizations in Mladá Boleslav dealing with this problems are sufficient for them. The essay can be helpful for workers who work with Gypsies and factual arrangement offering services for this target group. Experimental investigation is made by qualitative researching stratégy. There are taking methods of analysis, synthesis, questionaraire and halfstructural dialogies of complementary analysis of documents.
Value of Sustainable Development in Community Projects

The target of the graduate work is to try to find a value of sustainable development in community projects. The work is based on local and foreign literature, technical articles and discussion with members of selected community projects. Graduate work defines terms community, community work and sustainable development, furthermore is trying to find a connection between those terms and their mutual importance. It also describes a connection of a sustainable development with social work itself and how this could be useful for society. Graduate work develops the idea of sustainability in terms such as participation and empowerment and which we can find in community projects. In the practical part is work dedicated to selected community projects which chose sustainable development as one of their main target and tries to find principles of sustainable development in practice. Principles and Methods of Coaching in Pastoral Work

Goal of this diploma thesis is to analyse and assess, to what extent participation in a long-term coaching training influenced efficiency of pastoral interviews held by pastors. Theoretical part defines and describes servant, pastor, pastoral care, clarifies contents and focus of coaching, compares psychotherapy, coaching, counselling and pastoral care and searches for common features and tensions in between them. Practical part defines research questions and sums up findings of semi-structures interviews with pastors - graduates of the coaching training after several years. Activation programs residential facilities for the elderly in the district of Beroun

(in English): The thesis deals with the issue of social aktivizačních activities that are provided to seniors living in residential institutions in the region of Beroun. Theoretical part introduces the situation relating to old age, aging and of the needs of the elderly. Describes services provided by the elderly and their representation in the District of Beroun. Further defines the concept of mobilisation and defines its individual methods and techniques. The empirical part is focused on interviews with employees, which operates in the homes for the elderly in the District of Beroun. The result of the work are the views and experiences of activation workers on the course aktivation.
