Use of geochemical archives for the investigation of historical Hg deposition
Sýkorová, Kateřina ; Ettler, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Zuna, Milan (referee)
Human activities affect fluxes of mercury into the atmosphere and modify its biogeochemical cycle. Current emissions, concentrations and deposition rates of mercury are measured by a series of monitoring networks. For the estimation of historical deposition rates of mercury, we use numerous geochemical archives, which represent long-term records of atmospheric pollutants Trends in concentrations and accumulation of mercury well correspond to trends in burning of fossil fuels, industrialization and use of mercury during the 19th and 20th century. Peat bogs as geochemical archives are suitable for studying these trends. Further research will be devoted to deciphering the processes of sequestration and cycling of mercury in peatlands, especially the role of vegetation in these systems.

Preferential transfers of land in theory and practice
Sýkorová, Kateřina ; Světlíková, Daniela (advisor) ; Hájková, Ivana (referee)
This bachelor thesis called Preferential transfer of land, is phased into two primary parts, the theoretical and the practical. In the theoretical part of the thesis will familiarize with the course of the transformation of the Land fund of the CZECH republic and the Land office in the newly formed State land office, with its development, importance and activities, specifically aimed at the so-called preferential transfer of land, i.e. the corrupt transfer of agricultural land to its authorised users and the owner of the building, which the land is located. In the practical part will draw a draft of the measures derived from data obtained from the conducted analysis and comparison of legislation before and after the effectiveness of act no. 503/2012 Coll., the State land office and on amendment to some related laws.
Anisotropy techniques in study of cytoplasm
Sýkorová, Kateřina ; Obruča, Stanislav (referee) ; Mravec, Filip (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis was to compare experiments using time-resolved anisotropy and steady-state anisotropy for measuring in bacteria strain Cupriavidus necator. Fluorescent probe for anisotropy imaging was chosen BCECF_AM, which is derivate of fluorescein. Using experiment in system glycerol/water with fluorescein, anisotropy has been verified and calculated molecular hydrodynamic volume of a single fluorescein molecule, which approximately corresponded with real value. By using fluorescence imaging anisotropy microscopy, images and values of average anisotropy in cells were taken. Images of living cells (bacteria) of CN H16 and mutant CN PHB-4 showed differences, mainly in the uniformity of the inside environment.
Japanese banking system with special focus on the financial crisis in the 90s
Sýkorová, Kateřina ; Schlossberger, Otakar (advisor) ; Leová, Simona (referee)
This thesis deals with the development of Japanese banking system in wider social context from the establishment of the first banking institutions in Tokugawa era until present. Most attention is paid to its role during the emergence of the financial crisis at the turn of the 80s and 90s of the 20th century and the way it was affected by the crisis. This work describes the main causes of the crisis which can be identified not only in the behaviour of banking institutions, but also in the delayed and inadequate reaction of the Japanese government. The analysis of governmental anti-crisis measures and the reform efforts indicates that in fact only three of fourteen prime ministers from 1991 to 2012 came up with measures aimed at the resurgence and further development of the banking sector. In conclusion potential consequences of current economic policy, so called "Abenomics", for the banking sector, are discussed.
Service-Profit Chain v hoteliérství
Sýkorová, Kateřina
Sýkorová K., Service-Profit Chain in the Hotel Industry. Thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2015. The aim of this thesis is to demonstrate the theory of a Service-Profit Chain in the hotel industry. The thesis is divided into two sections -- theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes each of the particular links of the chain such as employee satisfaction, motivation, place of work, work performance, engagement and so on. Another important link of the chain involves guests, their satisfaction, and loyalty. As the research includes a questionnaire survey, the theoretical section describes both how to create a questionnaire and also how to evaluate it. The practical section of this thesis demonstrates the questionnaires, process of interviewing and evaluation of data. This area of the thesis also presents an interpretation of results and further recommendations.
Měření vybraných faktorů životní úrovně
Sýkorová, Kateřina
This thesis deals with identification and analysis of ways to measure the healthcare factor affecting living standards. The first part is the study of expert publications and databases, examining international organizations and identification of ways to measure selected categories of healthcare factors. Identified indicators are then analyzed using in-depth interviews with experts in the field of healthcare. Regression analysis was performed for selected indicators, which is crucial in assessing the degree to which the indicator explains the standard of living. The last part based on established methodology evaluates current situation in healthcare in relation to the standard of living in the Czech republic.
