The thesis "The Reforms in Turkey under the EU membership vision, 1995 - 2005" charts the sphere of political, social and economical reforms in Turkey. The reforms were divided into the three waves, which were started by, in EU - Turkey relations framework, breaking events (1995 - Custom union Agreement, 1999 - Turkey has obtained the candidate state statut, 2003 - pro-european R. T. Erdogan began the turkish Prime minister). This thesis also touches the EU member states positions to possible Turkey EU membership, which are often ambivalent. The position of the town Říčany in Prague hinterland: a case study of families with children
Chrpa, Jiří ; Špačková, Petra (advisor) ; Mulíček, Ondřej (referee)
This master thesis deals with the question, whether the town Říčany performs functions of the local centre for its residents. Part of the text is devoted to the transformation taking place around the Czech capital. The paper uses the theoretical framework of Time geography. Using a qualitative questionnaire survey targeted at families with children, the work is trying to identify, where the residents localize their activities. The thesis also attempts to recognize the activity localisation mechanisms. Another goal was to find differences between various categories of the respondents. Children and adults working in Říčany usually localize their activities close to their home. Adults working in Prague have an elliptic activity space, in which home is however main station. One of the contributions of this work is the typology of four groups of households. In addition to long-term residents and two types of suburbanites, the group of "grounded residents" was defined. Although they have moved to the town rather recently, they usually live in the older parts of the town and localize there most of their life.
Social environment and local communities: city, suburb , countryside
Špačková, Petra ; Ouředníček, Martin (advisor) ; Kostelecký, Tomáš (referee) ; Ptáček, Pavel (referee)
Since the 19th century, the processes of modernization, industrialization and urbanization have fundamentally impacted the spatial organization and the actual contents of social ties. In particular, the role of place of residence in everyday life has significantly changed. Compared to the past, the spatial distance is less relevant for maintenance of interpersonal ties and non-local social relations are of growing importance. This process has been recently enhanced by development of communication technologies and the Internet in particular. The Internet has transferred many social ties into virtual communities without any spatial reference. The dissertation deals with the consequences of the above indicated changes for the social environments in urban, suburban and rural localities and it is built on the geographic perspective of social network research. The theoretical framework of the research is based on combination of the concepts of social environment and the concept of local community. Further, the conceptualization of the study of local social environment is presented. In addition, the factors undermining the differentiated social environment and the character of community ties in various types of geographical contexts are discussed. The attention is also paid to the importance of population...

Špačková, Petra ; Bartlová, Petra (advisor) ; Marenčáková, Jitka (referee)
Goals: The main objective of this bachelor thesis was to analyse the incidence of flat feet in children aged 4 to 5 years in kindergartens and to compare whether there is a difference between the frequency of flat feet in forest kindergartens compared to ordinary kindergartens. The result may indicate whether the kindergarten environment has an effect on the formation of the children's sole. Methods: The following were evaluated for 20 children from ordinary kindergartens and 20 children from forest kindergartens aged 4 to 5 years: plantogram, physical examination, weight, height, foot size, type of footwear - conventional/ barefoot. The plantogram was made using a podoscope from SANOMED s.r.o. and evaluated by the Chippaux-Smirak index (CSI). Statistical processing was done in MS Excel and in the statistical program Rstudio. Results: The results of the study show that children from forest kindergartens have lower CSI, ie. less flat feet (p = 0,0351). The degree of arching of the foot is usually similar on the left and right foot (p = 0,00001). There is no significant difference in the frequency of flat feet in girls and boys (p = 0,9761). No correlation was found between CSI and BMI (p = 0,421) nor between CSI and foot size (p = 0,792). Children with barefoot shoes have lower CSI values than...
