Cloud computing in the field of upper secondary teaching

The diploma thesis is focused on mapping and analysis of the possibilities of using cloud computing from the point of view of a pedagogical worker at a level of higher secondary education by using a suitable method of evaluation and comparison of cloud technologies. A part of the work is devoted to ICT competences of teachers and possibilities of their further development in the field of cloud computing, withal focusing on models and programs of ICT competencies development, more precisely digital competences of national and international significance. In the practical part of the thesis, a research is carried out among pedagogical staff at secondary schools in the Czech Republic which is focused on the use of cloud computing with emphasis on competence, activities and work of pedagogical worker. The results of the research are summarized as recommendations for further practice.

Unified visual identity of schools

Bachelor thesis "Unified visual identity of schools deals with a visual presentation of elementary and secondary schools. Theoretical part explains a subject of the unified visual identity of schools and describes fundamental parts and phases of the creation. This section is written in the way it can serve as a manual for a right creation of the unified visual identity. On top of that, current situation of schools in this regard is thoroughly described and compared with international peers. Empiric part examines the existence of the unified visual identity in the Czech Republic. This part explores electronical materials of schools which can be a part of Corporate Identity and compares them with commercial entities. Another benefit is the draft of minimum graphic design manual for practical use in the school environment.

International context of a school ICT coordinator

This thesis debates differences of an ICT coordinator's work in different countries. In its theoretical part, it examines work of an ICT coordinator and If and how this role could be separated to methodical (pedagogical) work and coordinating work and emphasizes how important it is to separate this role from a work of a technician. This work also brings results of various international researches from this field and compares them with a research done in the Czech Republic. Comparing the results reveals that situation of Czech ICT coordinators does not differ in most points from their international counterparts. The two areas that show differences is that the Czech coordinators are more often expected to cover work of a an IT technican and more issues with quality of hardware and internet connection. ABSTRACT: This thesis deals with teaching Computing subjects at secondary schools in England as a model for transformation of teaching ICT at schools in the Czech Republic. The thesis focuses on the portability of aspects of teaching Computing to the Czech environment and endeavours to identify the possible barriers to implementation processes. The aim of the thesis is to bring new stimuli for changes in the Czech ICT curriculum that are based on the experience of teaching ICT and Computing in the UK. The theoretical part of the thesis consists of the analysis and comparison of the Czech and British curricular documents and the study of academic and journalistic texts. The empirical part uses questionnaires focused on opinions of Czech and English experts on teaching ICT or Computing. It also uses interviews with English teachers of Computing and observations of Computing and ICT lessons at English secondary schools. Level of difficulty of assignments and exercises in ICT and cumputing subjects at basic schools

The aim of the thesis is based on the existing approaches to the assessment of the difficulty of the task of teaching with a focus on ICT and computer science to design a methodology for determining the difficulty of the task and verify it on the model examples for elementary schools. The methodology will be to respond to the theoretical background, which are based, in particular, of the parameters, forms, functions, and the specifics of teaching jobs. Other theoretical basis for the analysis of the teaching jobs are from the known taxonomies, Focus group research method and statistical data processing. The empirical part qualitative research including the multi-round testing pupils Elementary school and the analysis of the data obtained.

Design for a system of analysing the knowledge and skills of elementary school pupils on transfer to secondary school

The aim of this thesis is to come up with a system enabling analysis of skills and knowledge of elementary school graduates in different subjects at the beginning of their first year at secondary schools in the form of an electronic didactic test using closed questions. The basic structure of this suggested system draws on the division of spheres of education into thematic units according to the educational framework for elementary schools. Tests for specific branches of education consist of closed questions arranged into groups of varying difficulty, determinated by the level of knowledge acquirement. This thesis further describes the rules of entering tasks into the system, rules of test development and of both percentual and verbal assessment. The final part deals with a project model of this suggested system in the phase of requirements. Design, creation and proof of digital learning objects, regarding the theme "Sound processing on a computer" for secondary school education

Učitelé vždy hledali názorné pomůcky, které by jejich žákům usnadnily proces učení. Ať už se jedná o obrázky, texty, modely či názorné pomůcky. Tyto pomůcky učitel využívá, když "sestavuje" učební jednotku, volí vhodné metody a přístupy tak, aby jeho působení u žáků vyvolalo patřičný efekt pochopení učiva a jeho osvojení. Učitel může potřebovat také metodické příručky, rady a pokyny, které mu mohou pomoci ve složitém procesu vzděláván žáků. Učitel často potřebuje evaluační nástroje pro hodnocení svých žáků, jako např. testy, úkoly, příklady atd. V dnešní moderní době se možnosti vzdělávacího procesu mnohonásobně zvětšily. Ţijeme v digitálním světě, kde i proces výuky a vyučování objevuje možnosti moderních technologií. A tak kromě klasických jsou k dispozici i pomůcky, metodiky a evaluační nástroje v podobě digitalizované či digitální. Možnosti těchto elektronických nástrojů a jejich dostupnost dalece převyšují vše, co si bylo možné představit v minulosti u pomůcek klasických.
