Progressive catechism by Joseph Colomb: Inspiration for contemporary catechetic

The thesis Progressive cathecism by Joseph Colomb: inspiration for contemporary cathechetics describes one of the most important parts of work of French theologian Joseph Colomb (1902-1979). Progressive cathecism is divided into three parts - each one focuses on a group of children of different age. The aim of the thesis is to introduce content of the work, its methods and objectives. It also shows the context of Colomb`s thinking and development of cathechesis during the first half of the 20th century. In final part of this work we summarize the points which are important for contemporary cathechetics.

Research of religious literacy of preschool children in a Christian kindergarten class. Case study

The Diploma thesis "Research on religious literacy of preschool children in a Christian kindergarten class: Case study" consists of two main parts. Its chief aim is to introduce a new term "religious literacy" and identify its main features on children of preschool age. In the first chapter, it is dealt with the term of literacy in general and from the religious point of view. First, the term is defined; its levels, main factors and points of judgment are specified. Further, the particular models for preschool age and the main principles of its effective stimulation and development are drawn up. In the chapter about religious literacy, the stage of faith intuitive - projective is presented, typical for preschool age. It is based on the passages from Catechism of the Catholic Church. The item of the second part is a case study as an empirical research on religious literacy of preschool children in a Christian kindergarten class. The research is directly connected to the theoretical part and its main goal is to get a real picture of the stand of religious-literacy state of preschool children and to analyze given issues. Issues of interest and educational performance of Church

This work deals with the Christian vision of the interest on loans. The first part of the thesis discusses biblical passages, opinions of a Fathers of the Church and conclusions of early councils. The text briefly surveys the historical development of the own concept and gradual differentiation between usury and interest. Furthermore, this work mentions recent Church documents relating to loans and interest. In the second part, the thesis deals with the current state of affairs around consumer loans and household debt in the Czech Republic from the different points of view such as law, economic and sociology statistic, current government projects, non-governmental organizations. Attitudes and statements of the Catholic Church in the Czech Republic related to this topic are also mentioned. The work also gives prototype of real and applicable educational output for the couples preparing for the sacrament of marriage in the third part.

The problems of the way to the priesthood

This thesis concerning the way to priesthood, the diocesan priests especially, and explores mainly the moment when young men make their decision for the priesthood. This thesis wants to know the role of the Archdiocese of Prague, the priests, the Christian parents and how they can motivate and support them on their life journey towards their profession. The first chapter describes the journey towards the priesthood according to the Church documents. The second chapter is interested in the specific forms of the pastoral work within the Archdiocese of Prague. The Archdiocesan Seminary is mentioned in the third chapter. The last the fourth chapter is concerning the current status of the clergy and priestly ordination within the Archdiocese of Prague. The second, the third and the fourth chapters represent the author's contribution in the form of assessment of the questionnaires. These questionnaires were distributed and used relating the priest calling pastoral work.

Religious literacy

The Diploma thesis "Religious Literacy" aims to map and define a new concept of the religious literacy, to describe the desirable religious literacy depending on the age and to state a basic overview of the elements that it generates. The thesis involves the religious literacy in the field of Catholic Christianity. First, it deals with the concept of literacy in general; it is defined by the levels, types, key factors and aspects of the assessment. In addition, the thesis talks about the cultural literacy, about the education as its forming and the relationship between the culture and Christianity. Then, using the concepts of general and cultural literacy, the definition of religious literacy follows. Religious literacy is defined in the thesis of two angles, which are interconnected, ie in terms of knowledge and practice. The religious literacy is discussed in both areas in the different age periods - in childhood, youth and adulthood. For each age group the appropriate incentives of the development of literacy and the activities in parish life are characterized. Annotation The aim of this Bachelor thesis called "Initial and Permanent Formation of Permanent Deacons in Brno Diocese" is to describe and then evaluate the formation of permanent deacons, applicants and deacons already ordained in Brno Diocese in the time period of 2000 to 2010. The thesis consists of two parts. The first part describes the restitution of permanent deaconship after the II. Vatican Council, the general service of the permanent deaconship in the tradition of the Church and Church documents, which relate to this topic on a general level. The second part deals with the formation of permanent deacons including the initial formation for applicants for permanent deaconship and formation of permanent deacons after their ordination as it is implemented in Brno Diocese.
