Analysis of heart rate variability in animal models
Řehořková, Iveta ; Ronzhina, Marina (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
This paper deals with the analysis of heart rate variability (HRV) in animal models. The first part discusses, the basic information concerning the ECG, both in humans and in individual laboratory animals. This is followed by an introduction to the topic of heart rate variability, a description of methods for its determination and the effects of pathologies on HRV values. Prior to the practical section, the methods of ECG acquisition in animal models are discussed, and the function of the perfusion model used in capturing data for this work is also described in detail. The last part deals with the analysis of HRV provided data, performed in Matlab environment and an evaluation of the chosen methods.
Suppression of the responsive component of electrodermal activity
Vraný, Jakub ; Vičar, Tomáš (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
Electrodermal acitivity is a kind of electrochemical signal generated with relation to activity of the autonomic nervous system that stimulates the sweat glands. In this way, is it possible to measure the activity of the sympathetic part of the nerve systém and evaluate the cognitive stress of the treated person, which is manifested by responsive signals in EDA record, respectively to increased occurence of responses. The aim of this work is to design a deep learning algorithm for the identification of this component in the record of data taken from UBMI database. The recordings contain a sequence of measurements the conductance of the skin of patient, who was subjected alternately to the states of rest and subsequently a state of mental stress. The data were annotated according to presence of the responsive components occuring in the records of EDA. Subsequently, a suitable deep learning algorithm was implemented in order to classify the responsive components in the measured EDA signal. The neural network model has been taught, optimized and implemented on the measurement samples using annotated data. The obtained results data were statistically evaluated to qualify the success of the classification of responsive components and differences in the records of mental calm and stress. The results of the classification and comparison of EDA records measured at different conditions of the patient were discussed subsequently.
Position of third countries citiziens in the EU
Kolářová, Jana ; Scheu, Harald Christian (advisor) ; Honusková, Věra (referee)
81 The status of third country nationals in the EU - Abstract The thesis deals with the status of third country nationals (further referred to as TCN) in the EU. Its purpose rests in the analysis of the current immigration policy of the EU and the comparison of the different groups of immigrants coming to the Member States from third countries. The objective thesis consists of 6 chapters. Chapter 1 is introductory. It defines the concept of migration and it determines the subject-matter of the thesis, which is the legal migration. Chapter 2 is focused on the historical development of the common asylum and immigration policy in the EU. It is divided into four subchapters, each subchapter describes certain historical period. The heart of the thesis is contained in Chapter 3. It is divided into six subchapters, each of them deals with the specific aspect of the TCN's status (first admission and entrance on the territory of EU, freedom of movement in the EU and right to reside on the territory of Member States, the access to employment and right to equal treatment, the expulsion and withdrawal of the residence right and finally procedural guarantees). Each subchapter is divided into five other parts as it compares the above mentioned aspects according to the legal reason of the TCN's residence. Consequently the...
The role of mayor in the bodies of a municipality
Kolářová, Jana ; Kopecký, Martin (advisor) ; Millerová, Ivana (referee)
The main objective of this thesis is to provide information about the legal status and activities of a municipality mayor. The topic is related to the analysis of municipality organization and relations among its institutions according to the current legislation, as well as the evaluation of the position of a mayor in various situations that he may encounter during the performance of his duties. The thesis can be divided into several parts. One part consists of the first two chapters which describe the development of local governments and their current legislative framework. The next part consists of chapters Three to Five which deal with the specific functions of a mayor, his rights and obligations in various situations, the start and the end of his mandate, and the position of a deputy mayor. The last part is chapters Six and Seven which describe the legislative framework for local governments in Slovakia and the election process of a mayor there. The seventh chapter primarily deals with the problem concerning the changes in the way mayors are elected in the Czech Republic, from indirect election to a direct one. This diploma thesis is an attempt to summarize information related to the topic. It concerns various spheres of activities of a mayor, legislative framework of the function, which...
STUDY OF CHANGES OF BIOLOGICAL MATERIAL CHARACTERISTICS IN ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELDS
Vlachová Hutová, Eliška ; Král, Bohumil (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (referee) ; Bartušek, Karel (advisor)
Presented dissertation discusses the influence of electromagnetic fields on the weight of the particles, which are considered in this work as substances with the hub. Theoretical knowledge was practically tested on plant organisms (early somatic embryos, fungal pathogens), theoretically the influence of electromagnetic field on cell structure was modeled. It was subsequently confirmed by a practical experiment assumption about the influence of electromagnetic fields on the weight of the particles. These experiments were preceded by a theoretical study of the problem and the formulation of a solution using Maxwell's equations, from which other descriptive equations and formulas were derived. The results of the experiments were presented at several professional conferences and published in professional journals and proceedings.
Running Motion Analysis
Eliáš, Radoslav ; Kolářová, Jana (referee) ; Goldmann, Tomáš (advisor)
Cieľom tejto práce je analyzovať pohyb a držanie tela pri behu. Systém pracuje so záznamom z dvoch kamier, zboku a zozadu.
Determining the range of human joints motion using accelerometer data
Toláš, Štěpán ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on determining the range of human joints motion using accelerometeter data. The theoretical part first describes the basic kinesiology of human joints. This part is followed by chapters which contain the basic information about accelerometers and describes how obtain measurements using these sensors. The last chapter is focused on the design of an algorithm for calculation the range, velocity and path of motion written in Matlab programming environment.
Control of Linear Motor based on Ultrasonic Detection
Veselá, Klára ; Kolářová, Jana (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
The focus of this bachelor thesis is to do research on possibilities of contactless distancemeasurement and linear stage construction. The first part describes four types of enginespossible to use in linear stages, their principles, advantages and disadvantages. Nextpart is focused on possibilities of contactless distance measurement. Based on thedescriptions, the most suitable modules are selected for the design of the system. Thissystem will maintain a constant distance from the object by using contactless distancesensor and linear motors.
Validaton of multichannel bioimpedance of vessels using synchronized vascular ultrasonography
Hidegová, Simona ; Kolářová, Jana (referee) ; Mézl, Martin (advisor)
The inclusion of a new device in clinical practice requires an adequate validation. The original publication which introduced multichannel bioimpedance monitor MBM was focused on discribing its technical parameters and demonstration measurements. Further evaluation desires comparision with other standard measuring device. This thesis describes pulse wave measurement by MBM and by other medical devices used for establishing cardiovascular risk. It proposes the validation experiment with synchronized vascular ultrasonography as a reference method. The process of the experimental measurement, aquired data and following data analysis are described in detail. The outputs of the experiment are statistically evaluated. The MBM’s performance and design of the experiment are discussed.
