Detrending heart rate variability signal with empirical mode decomposition EMD
Foltová, Anežka ; Janoušek, Oto (referee) ; Kubičková, Alena (advisor)
HRV analysis is an important indicator of pathophysiological examination. R-R waves are used for detection and analysis of ECG interval. R-R intervals can be analyzed by various methods. During spectral analysis is an often phenomenon disturbing non-stationary trend, which needs to be removed. In this paper, which deals about detrending, is mainly introduced Empirical mode decomposition (EMD) which is popular in recent years. Subsequently, this method is being compared to the method of wavelet transformation and Smoothness prior apprach (SPA).
Modeling of RR intervals
Jach, Daniel ; Kozumplík, Jiří (referee) ; Kubičková, Alena (advisor)
This thesis is focused on modelling RR intervals. Different models are created illustrating the function of cardiovascular system in order to test various methods for expressing, removing trend and analyzing heart rate variability signals. In this thesis the IPFM model as well as the McSharry model are described and realized.
Noise map
Lokaj, Jiří ; Kubičková, Alena (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this paper is to introduce the measurement of noise and create a noise map in a geographic information system. The first part is focused on describing the physical properties of sound in space, atmospheric and physiological acoustics. It also deals with the physiological effects of noise on the human body and technology needed for measure and process noise. Other part describes the structure of a geographic information system and noise map. The last part is about the practical creation of noise maps, includes a description of the real measurement results and evaluation
Wavelet transform for heart rate variability analysis
Labounková, Ivana ; Kubičková, Alena (referee) ; Janoušek, Oto (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is focused on the HRV description and its changes in relation to ischemia. This project si also focused on methods of HRV analysis, specifically time domain methods and wavelet transform. These methods are compared at the end of this Bachelor thesis.
Comparison of the appropriateness of formal expression of heart rate variability
Hráček, Roman ; Kozumplík, Jiří (referee) ; Kubičková, Alena (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the study of heart rate variability (HRV) and description of its modes of expression. Aim of this work is the realization of the generator IPFM and methods of expression HRV specifik in the guidelines for the preparation work. IPFM generátor simulates a heartbeat, which is produced using methods analyzed and processed. Individual methods are ultimatem mutually compared to assess the effectiveness of the representation of HRV.
Removing baseline wander in ECG with empirical mode decomposition
Procházka, Petr ; Kolářová, Jana (referee) ; Kubičková, Alena (advisor)
In this semestral thesis, realizations of chosen linear filters for baseline wander are described. These filters are then used on artificial ECG signals from CSE database with added baseline wander. These methods are compared and results are evaluated. After that, literature search of Empirical mode decomposition method is utilized. Realization of designed filters in MATLAB programming language are described, then results are evaluated with respect to filtration success.
Muscle noise filtering in ECG signals
Novotný, Jiří ; Kubičková, Alena (referee) ; Smital, Lukáš (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with the optimization of numerical coefficients of the Wiener filter for muscle noise filtering in ECG signals. The theoretical part deals with ECG signal characteristic and muscle interference. It also contains a summary of the wavelet transform, wavelet Wiener's filtration, methods for calculating of the threshold and thresholding. In the last theoretical part the characteristic optimization techniques, the exhausive search and Nelder-Mead simplex method are mentioned, which were implemented in the practical part of this thesis in MATLAB. The functional verification and Wiener's filter optimization were tested on the standard electrocardiograms database CSE. By using the methods of exhausive search, the initial estimate for the solution method Nelder-Mead was obtained. The optimization method Nelder-Mead gives better results in the orders of hundredths or tenths than the method of exhausive search. The practical part is finished by the comparison of results of implemented algorithm with optimum coefficients, implemented in this thesis, with the results of other methods for filtering muscle interference in ECG signals.
Information design in the presentation of the outcomes of the cultural statistics of the Czech Republic.
Kubíčková, Jana Ada ; Kubaš, Mario (advisor) ; Hucková, Barbara (referee)
The Master's Thesis deals with the possibility of using graphic design (data visualisation) in the presentation of outcomes of the cultural statistics. The aim of the paper is to propose a new form of the presentation of the data o help better understanding. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the definition of the terms used further in the document, particularly the definition of the categories of information design, its historical development, and its social and psychological justification. In the second part my work firstly the current form of the outcomes is assessed and then the new form based on data visualisation is suggested.
Respite care for individuals caring for a disabled family member.
KUBÍČKOVÁ, Adéla
The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is composed of individual chapters and their subheads. The first chapter focuses on disability, its technical summary and division. The following chapter deals with a situation of a family into a disabled child is born and describes a model of mental crisis affecting parents who face this fact. The final chapter is focused on respite care itself, its division, and outlines particular activities and acts offered by respite care. The aim of the practical part was to find out if the families who care of their disabled member are aware of the respite care services and if they have an opportunity to take advantage of them. The partial aims of the thesis try to find out if parents make use of respite care services in their neighbourhood and what ways of relaxing the home caring family members have. Three basic reserch questions were set. 1. How much are the families burdened with the care of their disabled member? 2. Do the parents know any institutions in their neighborhood providing respite care services for caring families? 3. Do the home caring parents have an opportunity to take advantage of an institution with respite care services? A qualitative research was chosen to work out the practical part of the thesis. A method of inquiries, namely interviews, was selected to collect a particular item of information. In the form of half-structured interviews the research was realized between january and april 2015. Purposefully, families with a disabled family member were chosen from the South-bohemian region, namely from Soběslav and Tábor surroundings. Most of the researched families have other healthy offsprings and only two of them are complete. One of the interviews was carried out with a grandparent. In the other four families mothers who have a disabled child in the age from seventeen to twenty-four were interviewed. The fact is, that usually mothers stay with these children at home and play the biggest part in the care. I have chosen these respondents mainly due to the fact that I worked with their children as a volunteer. They have become my friends in course of the time. My mother was one of the respondents, too. In the final part, the cases interpretation focus on introducing the particular families and then the outcome report got from the interviews with family members, mothers in particular, follows. The research tends to show that the home caring families would like to take advantage of respite care services as the burden is enormous. Although the families are aware of the usefulness of respite care, they do not know any institutions offering this kind of services. Another findings concern ways of relaxing in home care families. They try to save time for themselves and find ways of relaxing. This bachelor thesis could serve as a source of information for the students, home caring families and social and health care workers.
Positive and negative effects of globalization on product design
Kubíčková, Jana Ada ; Hanzlík, Jan (advisor) ; Štěpánek, Petr (referee)
The thesis discuses the effects of globalization on product design. The aim of the thesis is to describe the changes of factors that affect product design and the impact of these changes on product design. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the definition of terms employed, particularly the terms globalization and product design. In the second part, the concept of glocalization is described and demonstrated, which is closely related to globalization. Changes brought about by globalization of all factors influencing product design mentioned in the first part are considered while the practical impact of these changes is demonstrated on various examples from everyday life.
